The behavior of dielectric and microwave properties against sintering temperature has been carried out on CaO-SiO2-B2O3 ceramic matrix composites with ZrO2 addition. The results indicated that ZrO2 addition was advantageous to improve the dielectric and microwave properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns show that the major crystalline β-CaSiO3 and a little SiO2 phase existed at the temperature ranging from 950 °C to 1050 °C. At 0.5 wt% ZrO2, CaO-SiO2-B2O3 ceramic matrix composites sintered at 1000 °C possess good dielectric properties: ?r = 5.85, tan δ = 1.59 × 10−4 (1 MHz) and excellent microwave properties: ?r = 5.52, Q · f = 28,487 GHz (11.11 GHz). The permittivity of Zr-doped CaO-SiO2-B2O3 ceramic matrix composites exhibited very little temperature dependence, which was less than ±2% over the temperature range of −50 to 150 °C. Moreover, the ZrO2-doped CaO-SiO2-B2O3 ceramic matrix composites have low permittivity below 5.5 over a wide frequency range from 20 Hz to 1 MHz.  相似文献

BaZr0.2Ti0.8O3-Mg2SiO4-MgO composites were prepared by a solid-state reaction method, and their dielectric and tunable characteristics were investigated for the potential application as microwave tunable materials. It is observed that the addition of Mg2SiO4-MgO into BaZr0.2Ti0.8O3 form ferroelectric (BaZr0.2Ti0.8O3)-dielectric (Mg2SiO4-MgO) composites. The dielectric constant and loss tangent of BaZr0.2Ti0.8O3-Mg2SiO4-MgO composites have been reduced and the overall tunability is maintained at a sufficiently high level. An anomalous relation between dielectric constant and tunability was observed: with the increase of Mg2SiO4 content (>30 wt%), the dielectric constant of composite decreases and the tunability increases. The anomalous increased tunability can be attributed to redistribution of the electric field. BaZr0.2Ti0.8O3-Mg2SiO4-MgO composites have tunability of 14.2-17.9% at 100 kHz under 2 kV/mm, indicating that it is a promising candidate material for tunable microwave applications requiring low dielectric constant.  相似文献

The composite ceramics of Ba0.55Sr0.4Ca0.05TiO3-CaTiSiO5-Mg2TiO4 (BSCT-CTS-MT) were prepared by the conventional solid-state route. The sintering performance, phase structures, morphologies, and dielectric properties of the composite ceramics were investigated. The BSCT-CTS-MT ceramics were sintered at 1100 °C and possessed dense microstructure. The dielectric constant was tailored from 1196 to 141 as the amount of Mg2TiO4 increased from 0 to 50 wt%. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of 40 wt% Ba0.55Sr0.4Ca0.05TiO3-10 wt% CaTiSiO5-50 wt% Mg2TiO4 was 141 and 0.0020, respectively, and the tunability was 8.64% under a DC electric field of 8.0 kV/cm. The Curie peaks were broadened and depressed after the addition of CaTiSiO5. The optimistic dielectric properties made it a promising candidate for the application of tunable capacitors and phase shifters.  相似文献

(Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 + x wt% Dy2O3 with x = 0-0.3 ceramics were synthesized by conventional solid-state processes. The effects of Dy2O3 on the microstructure, the piezoelectric and dielectric properties were investigated. X-ray diffraction pattern confirmed that the coexistence of tetragonal and rhombohedral phases in the (Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 composition was not changed by adding 0.05-0.3 wt% Dy2O3. SEM images indicate that all the ceramics have pore-free microstructures with high density, and that doping of Dy2O3 inhibits the grain growth of the ceramics. The addition of Dy2O3 shows the double effects on decreasing the piezoelectric and dielectric properties for 0 < x < 0.15 when Dy3+ ions substitute B-site Ti4+ ions, and increasing the properties for 0.15 < x < 0.3 when Dy3+ ions enters into A-site of the perovskite structure. The optimum electric properties of piezoelectric constant d33 = 170 pC/N and the dielectric constant ?r = 1900 (at a frequency of 1 kHz) are obtained at x = 0.3.  相似文献

Nd2Fe14B/C microparticles were prepared by a mechanical mixing technique using a weight ratio of 2:1. Paraffin-bonded Nd2Fe14B/C composites were fabricated using 40 wt% microparticles, and their electromagnetic wave absorption properties were studied and compared with those of the paraffin-bonded Nd2Fe14B composites in the 2-18 GHz frequency range and for 1-5 mm thickness. The Nd2Fe14B/C-paraffin composites exhibit dual dielectric resonance in complex relative permittivity (?r) and essentially flat response in complex relative permeability (μr) rather than showing an abrupt change in both ?r and μr as in the Nd2Fe14B-paraffin composites. The results are ascribed to the increased electrical resistivity in the Nd2Fe14B/C-paraffin composites and the protection on the magnetic properties of the Nd2Fe14B microparticles at 2-18 GHz by the presence of the C phase. Large reflection loss (RL) exceeding −10 dB and an optimal RL of −13.2 dB are achieved in the Nd2Fe14B/C-paraffin composites from 9.6 to 18 GHz at a thickness of 1.4-2.6 mm and at 18 GHz at a thickness of 1.4 mm, respectively.  相似文献

Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) based piezoelectric composites embedded with ZnO nanowhiskers (ZnOw) were investigated to clarify the optimal sintering condition for densification, microstructure, and electrical properties. The samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the increase of the sintering temperature and time is quite effective in improving the densification and piezoelectric properties of the PZT/ZnOw composites. However, the relative density and piezoelectric properties deteriorate as the composites are sintered over the optimal sintering condition. Particularly, the PZT/ZnOw composites sintered at 1150 °C for 2 h show excellent electrical properties of piezoelectric constant d33 ∼ 471 pC/N, relative dielectric constant ? ∼ 3838, planar electromechanical coupling factor kp ∼ 0.543, remnant polarization Pr ∼ 23.2 μC/cm2 and coercive field Ec ∼ 9.2 kV/cm.  相似文献

The phases, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of ZnTiNb2O8-xTiO2 composite ceramics with different weight percentages of BaCu(B2O5) additive prepared by solid-state reaction method have been investigated using the X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results showed that the microwave dielectric properties were strongly dependent on densification, grain sizes and crystalline phases. The sintering temperature of ZnTiNb2O8 ceramics was reduced from 1250 °C to 950 °C by doping BaCu(B2O5) additive and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) was adjusted from negative value of −52 ppm/°C to 0 ppm/°C by incorporating TiO2. Addition of 2 wt% BaCu(B2O5) in ZnTiNb2O8-xTiO2 (x = 0.8) ceramics sintered at 950 °C showed excellent dielectric properties of ?r = 38.89, Q × f = 14,500 GHz (f = 4.715 GHz) and τf = 0 ppm/°C, which represented very promising candidates as LTCC dielectrics for LTCC applications.  相似文献

Ferroelectric indium tin oxide (ITO) on PbZr0.53Ti0.47O3 (PZT)/Pt structure, prepared by RF sputtering onto SiO2/Si substrates, is studied in order to investigate the effect of ITO as a top electrode in these systems. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) experiments were performed to study the structure and the surface morphology of the samples. From X-ray diffraction, we observe that the ITO thin film grows with the (1 1 1) texture and the peaks attributed to PZT are all from the perovskite phase. The average roughness (RMS) of the PZT surface is found to be 1.650 nm from AFM experiment. The ferroelectric and dielectric properties were inferred from polarization hysteresis loops, capacitance and dielectric constant measurements. These properties have been compared to those of the widely studied Pt/PZT/Pt system prepared under the same conditions. The effect of ITO/PZT/Pt annealing has been studied. Annealing at 400 °C leads to 13% increase in the dielectric constant ?r.  相似文献

Pure and Pr6O11-doped CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) ceramics were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method. The compositions and structures were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The influences of Pr-ion concentration on dielectric properties of CCTO were measured in the ranges of 60 Hz-3 MHz and 290-490 K. The third phase of Ca2CuO3 was observed from the XRD of CCTO ceramics. From SEM, the grain size was decreased obviously with high valence Pr-ion (mixing valence of Pr3+ and Pr4+) substituting Ca2+. The room temperature dielectric constant of Pr-doped CCTO ceramics, sintered at 1323 K, was an order of magnitude lower than the pure CCTO ceramics due to the grain size decreasing and Schottky potential increasing. The dielectric spectra of Pr-doped CCTO were flatter than that of pure CCTO. The loss tangent of Pr-doped CCTO ceramics was less than 0.20 in 2 × 102-105 Hz region below 440 K. The complex impedance spectra of pure and Pr-doped CCTOs were fitted by ZView. From low to high frequency, three semicircles were observed corresponding to three different conducting regions: electrode interface, grain boundary and grain. By fitting the resistors R and capacitors C, the activation energies of grain boundary and electrode contact were calculated. All doped CCTOs showed higher activation energies of grain boundary and electrode than those of pure CCTO ceramics, which were concordant with the decreasing of dielectric constant after Pr6O11 doping.  相似文献

The effects of BaCu(B2O5) (BCB) additions on the sintering temperature and microwave dielectric properties of Li2MgTi3O8 ceramic have been investigated. The pure Li2MgTi3O8 ceramic shows a relative high sintering temperature (∼1000 °C) and good microwave dielectric properties as Q × f of 40,000 GHz, ?r of 27.2, τf of 2.6 ppm/°C. It was found that the addition of a small amount of BCB can effectively lower the sintering temperature of Li2MgTi3O8 ceramics from 1025 to 900 °C and induce no obvious degradation of the microwave dielectric properties. Typically, the 0.5 wt% BCB added Li2MgTi3O8 ceramic sintered at 900 °C for 2 h exhibited good microwave dielectric properties of Q × f = 36,200 GHz (f = 7.31 GHz), ?r = 26 and τf = −2 ppm/°C. Compatibility with Ag electrode indicates this material can be applied to low temperature-cofired ceramics (LTCC) devices.  相似文献

Alumina matrix composites containing 5 and 10 wt% of ZrO2 were sintered under 100 MPa pressure by spark plasma sintering process. Alumina powder with an average particle size of 600 nm and yttria-stabilized zirconia with 16 at% of Y2O3 and with a particle size of 40 nm were used as starting materials. The influence of ZrO2 content and sintering temperature on microstructures and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated. All samples could be fully densified at a temperature lower than 1400 °C. The microstructure analysis indicated that the alumina grains had no significant growth (alumina size controlled in submicron level 0.66-0.79 μm), indicating that the zirconia particles provided a hindering effect on the grain growth of alumina. Vickers hardness and fracture toughness of composites increased with increasing ZrO2 content, and the samples containing 10 wt% of ZrO2 had the highest Vickers hardness of 18 GPa (5 kg load) and fracture toughness of 5.1 MPa m1/2.  相似文献

The samples with small amounts of MnO2 (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 wt%, respectively) were prepared via ball-milling process and two-step sintering process from commercial powders (i.e. Fe2O3, NiO and MnO2). Microstructural features, phase transformation, sintering behavior and magnetic properties of Mn-doped NiFe2O4 composite ceramics have been investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential thermal analyzer, X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal dilatometer and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) respectively. The XRD analysis and the result of differential thermal analysis indicate that the reduction of MnO2 into Mn2O3 and the following reduction of Mn2O3 into MnO existed in sintering process. No new phases are detected in the ceramic matrix, the crystalline structure of the ceramic matrix is still NiFe2O4 spinel structure. Morphology and the detecting result of thermal dilatometer show that MnO2 can promote the sintering process, the temperature for 1 wt% MnO2-doped samples to reach the maximum shrinkage rate is 59 °C lower than that of un-doped samples. For 1 wt% MnO2-doped samples, the value of the saturation magnetization (Ms) and coercivity (Hc) is 15.673 emu/g and 48.316 Oe respectively.  相似文献

TiB2-C preforms formed with different compositions and processing parameters were reactively infiltrated by Si melts at 1450 °C to fabricate TiB2-SiC-Si composites. Phase constituent and microstructure of these composites were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The resulting composites are generally composed of TiB2 and reaction-formed β-SiC major phases, together with a quantity of residual Si. Unreacted carbon is detected in the samples with a starting composition of 2TiB2 + 1C formed at higher pressure and in all of the ones at the composition of 1TiB2 + 1C. The distribution of these phases is fairly homogeneous in microstructure. TiB2-SiC-Si composites show good mechanical properties, with representative values of 19.9 GPa in hardness, 395 GPa in elastic modulus, 3.5 MPa m1/2 in fracture toughness and 604 MPa in bending strength. The primary toughening and strengthening mechanism is attributed to the crack deflection of TiB2 particles.  相似文献

This study investigated the potential applications of microwave dielectric properties of Mg2SnO4 ceramics in mobile communication. Mg2SnO4 ceramics were prepared using a conventional solid-state method. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the Mg2SnO4 ceramics revealed no significant variation of phase with sintering temperature. A maximum density of 4.62 g/cm3, a dielectric constant (?r) of 8.41, a quality factor (Q × f) of 55,100 GHz, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of −62 ppm/ °C were obtained when Mg2SnO4 ceramics were sintered at 1550 °C for 4 h.  相似文献

The crystal structure, microstructure, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of (1 − x)Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-xBaTiO3 ceramics with x = 0, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07 and 0.1 are investigated. A structural variation according to the system composition was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses. The results revealed that the synthesis temperature for pure perovskite phase powder prepared by the present sol-gel process is much lower (800 °C), and a rhombohedral-tetragonal morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) is found for x = 0.07 composition which showing the highest remanent polarization value and the smallest coercive field. The optimum dielectric and piezoelectric properties were found with the 0.93Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-0.07BaTiO3 composition. The piezoelectric constant d33 is 120 pC/N and good polarization behaviour was observed with remanent polarization (Pr) of 12.18 pC/cm2, coercive field (Ec) of 2.11 kV/mm, and enhanced dielectric properties ?r > 1500 at room temperature. The 0.93Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-0.07BaTiO3-based ceramic is a promising lead-free piezoelectric candidate for applications in different devices.  相似文献

Commercial Kaolinite was employed as sintering aid to reduce the sintering temperature of BaTiO3 ceramics. The effects of Kaolinite content and sintering temperature on the densification, microstructure and dielectric properties of BaTiO3 ceramics have been investigated. The density characterization results show that the addition of Kaolinite significantly lowered the sintering temperature of BaTiO3 ceramics to about 1200 °C. XRD results show BaTiO3 ceramics with a low amount of Kaolinite exhibited perovskite structure, but 10.0 wt% Kaolinite additions resulted in the formation of a secondary phase, BaAl2Si2O8. BaO-TiO2-Al2O3-SiO2 glass phase was formed and improved the average breakdown strength of ceramics, which was supported by SEM-EDX results. The Kaolinite content had shown a strong influence on the dielectric constant and the diffuse transition. BaTiO3 ceramic with 4.0 wt% Kaolinite addition possessed well temperature stability of dielectric constant.  相似文献

Pb1-3x/2Lax (Zr0.6Ti0.4)O3 thin films (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.08) were prepared on the Pt (1 1 1)/Ti/SiO2/Si (1 0 0) substrates by a sol-gel method. The morphology, preferred orientation, phase structure, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of the films have been investigated. Our results show that lanthanum doping is favorable to enhance crystalline and obtain (1 0 0)-preferred orientation of the films. Meanwhile, it is suggested that the films undergo a structure change from “rhombohedral” phase to monoclinic phase as the lanthanum-doped content is increased to x ≈ 0.05. Results of dielectric properties and ferroelectric properties indicate that lanthanum doping contributes to improve film dielectric constant and dielectric loss while it brings about a striking decrease in remnant polarization value. Possible explanations for the variations of electrical properties have been discussed in terms of preferred orientation, phase structure and large lattice distortion.  相似文献

Monodisperse core-shell structured FeNi3-SiO2 composite nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by a facile hydrazine reduction combined modified Stöber method. SEM and TEM analysis shows that FeNi3 cores are composed of small primary nanocrystals and are coated by amorphous SiO2 layer. As-prepared FeNi3-SiO2 nanocomposites exhibit typical soft magnetic properties. The permeability spectra vary with the contents of SiO2. When the SiO2 content is 10 wt%, the real part μ′ of the permeability reaches about 10 and is almost independent of frequency in the frequency range up to 1 GHz. And the imaginary part μ′′ remains very low. This paper presents a facile approach to fabrication of novel soft magnetic materials for high-frequency applications.  相似文献

Dy3+-activated β/α′-Sr2SiO4 phosphors were successfully prepared by solid-state reaction method with ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) as the flux. The influences of calcination temperatures, amounts of NH4Cl and the concentrations of Dy3+ on phase composition, morphology and the photoluminescent properties of as-prepared powders were investigated in detail. The β and α′ phases of Sr2SiO4 were obtained with 1 wt% and 2-5 wt% NH4Cl, respectively, as the sintered condition was at 1000 °C for 4 h. With increasing the amount of NH4Cl, the morphology of phosphors changed from needlelike to regular polyhedron shape and the colors of the Sr2SiO4:Dy3+ phosphors changed from blue-green to white. The luminescence intensity of 4F9/2 → 6H15/2 transition was slightly higher than that of 4F9/2 → 6H13/2L = 2, ΔJ = 2) transition owing to the low-symmetry around Dy3+ ions. The optimum concentration of Dy3+ was 2.0 mol% and the concentration quenching were caused by the d-d interaction and a cross relaxation. The yellow-to-blue intensity ratio (Y/B) of Dy3+ emission did not to change with varying the Dy3+ concentration using Li+ ions for charge compensation. These indicate that this phosphor can be used as a potential candidate for the phosphor-converted white LEDs with a UV chip.  相似文献

In this work, 6061 series aluminum alloy is used as the matrix material for its wide application in engineering to make AlON coating layers by the electrolytic plasma processing (EPP) method. The experimental electrolytes include: 10 g/L NaAlO2 as alumina formative agent, 2 g/L NaOH as the electrolytic conductive agent, 0.4 g/L NaNO3 as a nitride supply agent. A combined composition and structure analysis of the coating layer was carried out by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for the specimens EPP-treated at 25 °C in 5 to 30 min under a hybrid voltage of 260 V DC plus AC 50 Hz power supplies (200 V). In addition, microhardness values were measured to correlate the evolution of microstructure and resulting mechanical properties. A composite of AlON-Al2O3 coating was formed as a result of a reactive process between Al in the alloy itself and O-N supplied by the electrolyte, which presents high hardness and anti-abrasion behaviors.  相似文献
