In western Tasmania, Precambrian sedimentary sequences form the basement for narrow trough accumulations of Eocambrian and younger sequences. The main trough, the meridional Dundas Trough, is flanked to the west by the Rocky Cape region of Precambrian rocks within which major, apparently stratiform, exhalative magnetite-pyrite deposits are intercalated with metabasaltic volcanics and ultramafic bodies.The Eocambrian-Cambrian troughs apparently developed during extension of Precambrian continental crust. Early shallow-water deposition includes thick dolomite units in some troughs. Deepening of the troughs was accompanied by turbidite sedimentation, with minor limestone, and submarine basaltic volcanism with associated minor disseminated native copper. Ultramafic and related igneous rocks were tectonically emplaced in some troughs during a mild compressional phase. They contain only minor platinoids, copper-nickel sulphides and asbestos, but are source rocks for Tertiary secondary deposits of platinoids, chromite and lateritic nickel.In the Dundas Trough, Eocambrian-Early Cambrian rocks are separated by an inferred erosional surface from structurally conformable overlying Middle to Late Cambrian fossiliferous turbidite sequences. The structural conformity continues through overlying Ordovician to Early Devonian terrestrial and shallow-marine stable shelf deposits.A considerable pile of probable Middle Cambrian felsic volcanics accumulated between the sedimentary deposits of the Dundas Trough and the Tyennan region of Precambrian rocks to the east. A lava-dominated belt within the volcanics hosts major volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits, including those of the exhalative type, which in the south are enriched in copper, gold and silver, whereas in the north they are rich in zine, lead, copper, gold and silver. Cambrian movements along faults near the margin of the Tyennan region resulted in erosion of the mineralized volcanics, locally exposing sub-volcanic granitoids. Above the local unconformities occur unmineralized volcaniclastic sequences that pass conformably into Ordovician to Early Devonian shelf deposits. Ordovician limestone locally hosts stratabound disseminated and veined base metal sulphide deposits.Pre-Middle Devonian rocks of western Tasmania differ, for most part, from those in the northeast where deeper marine turbidite quartz-wacke sequences were deposited during the Ordovician and Early Devonian.The Eocambrian to Early Devonian rocks of Tasmania were extensively deformed in the mid-Devonian. The Precambrian regions of western Tasmania behaved as relatively competent blocks controlling early fold patterns. In northeastern Tasmania, folding is of similar age but resulted from movements inconsistent with those affecting rocks of equivalent age in western Tasmania.The final metallogenic event is associated with high-level granitoid masses emplaced throughout Tasmania during the Middle to Late Devonian. In northeastern Tasmania, extensive I-type granodiorite and S-type granite, with alkali-feldspar granites, are associated with mainly endogranitic stanniferous grelsens and wolframite ± cassiterite vein deposits. In contrast, scheelite-bearing skarns and cassiterite stannite pyrrhotite carbonate replacement deposits are dominant in western Tasmania, associated mainly with S-type granites. Several argentiferous lead-zinc vein deposits occur in haloes around tin-tungsten deposits. A number of gold deposits are apparently associated with I-type granodiorite, but some have uncertain genesis.The contrasting regions of western and northeastern Tasmania have probably been brought together by lateral movement along an inferred fracture. Flat-lying, Late Carboniferous and younger deposits rest on the older rocks, and the only known post-Devonian primary mineralization is gold associated with Creta ceous syenite.  相似文献

[摘 要]本文主要在先前一些研究者对北祁连山加里东造山带的构造、海相火山岩和块状硫化矿床研究所获成果和认识的基础上,重点从造山带的前寒武纪基底的物性特征,来分析和讨论所见不同时代地层中的变火山岩类的物源区及形成机制,进而提出一些区域找矿思路。所得结论主要包括:(1) 北祁连山加里东造山的真正基底应是从阿拉善或华北地块分裂出来的一套绿岩类型火山沉积建造,并以古元古宙的北大河群和龙首山群为代表;(2)北祁连造山带的基底从克拉通向大陆裂谷构造体制转换大致发生在早-中元古宙的分界时限(约1777Ma),并普遍以一套大陆裂谷型双峰式火山岩组合为典型特征;(3)不同时代或不同构造体制下形成的火山岩,各有其不同的物源区和成岩模式。具体说,在元古宙 绿岩类型的火山岩的源区可能是克拉通早期由原始玄武质下地壳转变来榴辉岩或基性麻粒岩相,进入大陆裂谷构造体阶段,便转换为一种幔-壳双层岩源区模型,而晚期的次火山岩类的源岩明显是已经过先期大量改造或改变了中上地壳物质作为物源;(4) 按大陆裂谷成矿体系并结合以往一些区域调查资料,提出托莱山西段的小龙口-九个青羊地段可能是个与海相火山岩有关的块状硫化物矿床潜在远景找矿地段。  相似文献

安徽北淮阳构造带的基底由一套变火山沉积岩建造 (即原称庐镇关群 )所组成。岩类学、岩石地球化学、年代学的研究表明 ,这套火山岩属碱性玄武岩系列、拉斑玄武岩系列和钙碱性玄武岩系列 ,分别形成于中元古宙陆内裂解 (扩张 )带和晚元古宙岛弧两种构造环境 ,其中以岛弧环境火山岩为主要部分 ,由此可以证明北淮阳构造带是在中元古宙陆内裂解带基础上发展起来的古弧系 ,具有大陆型基底性质  相似文献

中国已发现了许多规模较大的金属矿床,其中以铁-铜-镍、锌-铅、锰-铝和钨-锡-钼十种四组矿床最具特色。它们分别产于前寒武纪古陆和显生宙的地槽褶皱系中。比较发育的成矿期是太古一早元古代、中元古代、晚古生代和中生代。根据许多矿床分别产于以海相喷出沉积为主和喷出、侵入均极发育的不同地质构造环境中,说明一些金属矿床的形成是严格地受地质构造环境控制的。在地质构造演化历史过程中,类似的地质构造环境虽然可以形成近似的矿床,但这仅是少数矿床类型,总的说成矿作用是由简而繁,显生宙比隐生宙出现更多的新矿床类型。因此中国一些金属矿床的时空分布是明显地具有一定的规律性的。  相似文献

The Late Archaean-Early Proterozoic Transvaal Sequence is preserved within the Transvaal, Kanye and Griqualand West basins, with the 2050 Ma Bushveld Complex intrusive into the upper portion of the succession within the Transvaal basin. Both Transvaal and Bushveld rocks are extensively mineralized, the former containing large deposits of iron, manganese, asbestos, andalusite, gold, fluorine, lead, zinc and tin ores, and the latter some of the World's major occurrences of PGE, chromium and vanadium ores. Transvaal sedimentation began with thin, predominantly clastic sedimentary rocks (Black Reef-Vryburg Formations) which grade up into a thick package of carbonate rocks and BIF (Chuniespoort-Ghaap-Taupone Groups). These lithologies reflect a carbonate-BIF platform sequence which covered much of the Kaapvaal craton, in reaction to thermal subsidence above Ventersdorp-aged rift-related fault systems. An erosional hiatus was followed by deposition of the clastic sedimentary rocks and volcanics of the Pretoria-Postmasburg-Segwagwa Groups within the three basins, under largely closed-basin conditions. An uppermost predominantly volcanic succession (Rooiberg Group-Loskop Formation) is restricted to the Transvaal basin. A common continental rift setting is thought to have controlled Pretoria Group sedimentation, Rooiberg volcanism and the intrusion of the mafic rocks of the Rustenburg Layered Suite of the Bushveld Complex. The dipping sheets of the Rustenburg magmas cut across the upper Pretoria Group stratigraphy and lifted up the Rooiberg lithologies to form the roof to the complex. Subsequent granitic rocks of the Lebowa and Rashoop Suites of the Bushveld Complex intruded both upper Rustenburg rocks and the Rooiberg felsites.  相似文献

华北地台在前寒武纪经历过三个大构造阶段,即太古初始克拉通、早元古代原地台和中—晚元古代地台的形成阶段,每个阶段都有各具特点的构造演化史。发生在太古宙末期的阜平运动,是一次强烈的构造-热事件,造成太古岩层的变质、变形等和形成初始的克拉通基底,早元古时出现了裂陷形成了克拉通内或边缘的内硅铝盆地或海槽。早元古末期的吕梁-中条运动是另一次重要的构造-热事件,此后,原地台最终固化,华北地台的主要构造格架基本成型。中—晚元古时期在华北地台的不同部位发育了三个主要构造盆地。  相似文献

详细叙述了广西热水沉积型矿床的成矿时代、空间分布和控矿环境,指出主要的矿产种类有锡、铅、锌、锑、汞、金、铜、钨、锰、铁、磷、重晶石及黄铁矿。其成矿时代为早元古代、晚元古代、早古生代、晚古生代及中生代,以泥盆纪为最重要的成矿时代;矿床在空间上主要分为桂北晚古生代裂陷锡-多金属成矿带及桂西南泥盆纪裂陷锰-重晶石-黄铁矿成矿带,次为桂东南早古生代裂陷铅-锌-多金属成矿带、桂中-桂北泥盆纪走滑断陷铅-锌-重晶石黄铁矿成矿带及桂西北早中三叠世裂陷金矿成矿带,此外还有桂北-桂东元古宙裂陷铁-锡-重晶石成矿带;控矿构造环境为裂谷构造,成矿受裂陷槽及区域性同沉积断裂控制;控矿沉积环境主要为台沟相带,次为局限-半局限台地相带、开阔台地相带、生物礁相带及海槽相带。并指出广西的热水沉积岩主要有硅质岩、电气石岩、层状矽卡岩及重晶石岩。  相似文献

In this paper the author first reviews 6 major advances in the study of Precambrian geologyand tectonics of South China during the last decade, and then proposes the following new modelof Late Precambrian scissors-type opening-closing tectonic evolution in the region. (1) Besidesthe Middle-Late Proterozoic low-grade metamorphic basement, there existed a LateArchaean-Early Proterozoic medium- to high-garde metamorphic basement in South China;both of them formed the united Yangtze-Cathaysia (craton) at the end of the Early Proterozoic,with the Jiangxi-Anhui-Zhejiang palaeogulf extending into the inland and the Jiangxi-Anhui-Jiangsu Peninsula lying on the northern side of the palaeogulf.(2) From the Middle Proterozoic,the present Guangxi-Guizhou-Hunan area in the western-central oldland was subjected toextensional rifting and became a rift trough, thus resulting in counterclockwise rotation of the"Cathaysian block" and clockwise rotation of the "Yangtze block"; moreover, the southwardcompression of the Dabie-Jiaonan block which split from the southern margin of the NorthChina plate and was accreted to the northern margin of the Jiangxi-Anhui-Jiangsu Peninsula ledto the scissors-type closing of the Jiangxi-Anhui-Zhejiang palaeogulf during the Middle-earlyLate Proterozoic, which further influenced the Early Palaeozoic tectonic evolution of the region.  相似文献

The central Fujian Province, situated on the juncture of paleo-uplift of Wuyishan, Yongmei Late Paleozoic depression and the eastern volcanic rift-fanlting zone, is mainly composed of the outcropped metamorphic basements in the Middle-Late and Early Proterozoic, which constitute two upper and lower giant thick formations of Precambrian volcanic-sedimentary cycles, respectively. The formation of Dongyan Group is an important Middle-Upper Proterozoic component, and the Dongyan Group is directly related to massive sulfide deposit in this area. In recent years, plenty of lead, zinc, copper, silver and gold deposits have been found and explored. The Precambrian paleorift setting of the central Fujian Province served as a favorite metallogenic background for the formation of large- and superlargescale volcanic massive sulfide (VMS) lead and zinc polymetal deposits. The Dongyan Group consists chiefly of a set of ancient volcanic sedimentary formations that are composed mainly of greenschist. Its major lithologic types comprise greenschist, marble, quartzite and granofels class including various components. The metamorphic rocks of Dongyan Group are the main composition of Middle and Upper Proterozoic volcanic-sedimentary cycle. The original rock of Dongyan Group, a stable rock association, is volcanic sedimentation and normal marine sedimentation. But the original volcanic rocks, basic and acid, are bimodal. The volcanic rocks were formed in the extensional continental rift setting.  相似文献

印度克拉通位于喜马拉雅山前断裂以南,与欧亚大陆相连,是一独立的地质构造单元,主要由Aravalli微陆块、Bundelkhand微陆块、Singhbhum微陆块、Bastar微陆块、东Dharwar微陆块、西Dharwar微陆块及南部麻粒岩微陆块7个太古宙微陆块与Satpura活动带、东Ghats活动带2个元古宙活动带组成。在前期项目的基础上,通过梳理印度克拉通各个构造单元的地质特征,笔者认为:印度克拉通基底在2.50 Ga左右趋于稳定;其主要由TTG片麻岩、花岗岩及不同变质程度的变质岩系组成;元古宙发育的Vindhyan盆地、Chhattisgarh盆地、Cuddapah盆地、Godavari盆地、Indravati盆地及Bhima-Kaladgi盆地浅海相碎屑岩-碳酸盐岩沉积是组成印度克拉通前寒武纪的盖层。  相似文献

The northern part of the Tasman Fold Belt System in Queensland comprises three segments, the Thomson, Hodgkinson- Broken River, and New England Fold Belts. The evolution of each fold belt can be traced through pre-cratonic (orogenic), transitional, and cratonic stages. The different timing of these stages within each fold belt indicates differing tectonic histories, although connecting links can be recognised between them from Late Devonian time onward. In general, orogenesis became younger from west to east towards the present continental margin. The most recent folding, confined to the New England Fold Belt, was of Early to mid-Cretaceous age. It is considered that this eastward migration of orogenic activity may reflect progressive continental accretion, although the total amount of accretion since the inception of the Tasman Fold Belt System in Cambrian time is uncertain.The Thomson Fold Belt is largely concealed beneath late Palaeozoic and Mesozoic intracratonic basin sediments. In addition, the age of the more highly deformed and metamorphosed rocks exposed in the northeast is unknown, being either Precambrian or early Palaeozoic. Therefore, the tectonic evolution of this fold belt must remain very speculative. In its early stages (Precambrian or early Palaeozoic), the Thomson Fold Belt was probably a rifted continental margin adjacent to the Early to Middle Proterozoic craton to the west and north. The presence of calc-alkaline volcanics of Late Cambrian Early Ordovician and Early-Middle Devonian age suggests that the fold belt evolved to a convergent Pacific-type continental margin. The tectonic setting of the pre-cratonic (orogenic) stage of the Hodgkinson—Broken River Fold Belt is also uncertain. Most of this fold belt consists of strongly deformed, flysch-type sediments of Silurian-Devonian age. Forearc, back-arc and rifted margin settings have all been proposed for these deposits. The transitional stage of the Hodgkinson—Broken River Fold Belt was characterised by eruption of extensive silicic continental volcanics, mainly ignimbrites, and intrusion of comagmatic granitoids in Late Carboniferous Early Permian time. An Andean-type continental margin model, with calc-alkaline volcanics erupted above a west-dipping subduction zone, has been suggested for this period. The tectonic history of the New England Fold Belt is believed to be relatively well understood. It was the site of extensive and repeated eruption of calc-alkaline volcanics from Late Silurian to Early Cretaceous time. The oldest rocks may have formed in a volcanic island arc. From the Late Devonian, the fold belt was a convergent continental margin above a west-dipping subduction zone. For Late Devonian- Early Carboniferous time, parallel belts representing continental margin volcanic arc, forearc basin, and subduction complex can be recognised.A great variety of mineral deposits, ranging in age from Late Cambrian-Early Ordovician and possibly even Precambrian to Early Cretaceous, is present in the exposed rocks of the Tasman Fold Belt System in Queensland. Volcanogenic massive sulphides and slate belt-type gold-bearing quartz veins are the most important deposits formed in the pre-cratonic (orogenic) stage of all three fold belts. The voicanogenic massive sulphides include classic Kuroko-type orebodies associated with silicic volcanics, such as those at Thalanga (Late Cambrian-Early Ordovician. Thomson Fold Belt) and at Mount Chalmers (Early Permian New England Fold Belt), and Kieslager or Besshi-type deposits related to submarine mafic volcanics, such as Peak Downs (Precambrian or early Palaeozoic, Thomson Fold Belt) and Dianne. OK and Mount Molloy (Silurian—Devonian, Hodgkinson Broken River Fold Belt). The major gold—copper orebody at Mount Morgan (Middle Devonian, New England Fold Belt), is considered to be of volcanic or subvolcanic origin, but is not a typical volcanogenic massive sulphide.The most numerous ore deposits are associated with calc-alkaline volcanics and granitoid intrusives of the transitional tectonic stage of the three fold belts, particularly the Late Carboniferous Early Perman of the Hodgkinson—Broken River Fold Belt and the Late Permian—Middle Triassic of the southeast Queensland part of the New England Fold Belt. In general, these deposits are small but rich. They include tin, tungsten, molybdenum and bismuth in granites and adjacent metasediments, base metals in contact meta somatic skarns, gold in volcanic breccia pipes, gold-bearing quartz veins within granitoid intrusives and in volcanic contact rocks, and low-grade disseminated porphyry-type copper and molybdenum deposits. The porphyry-type deposits occur in distinct belts related to intrusives of different ages: Devonian (Thomson Fold Belt), Late Carboniferous—Early Permian (Hodgkinson—Broken River Fold Belt). Late Permian Middle Triassic (southeast Queensland part of the New England Fold Belt), and Early Cretaceous (northern New England Fold Belt). All are too low grade to be of economic importance at present.Tertiary deep weathering events were responsible for the formation of lateritic nickel deposits on ultramafics and surficial manganese concentrations from disseminated mineralisation in cherts and jaspers.  相似文献

华北克拉通中绿岩带型金矿床是我国重要的矿床类型之一,也是我国黄金产量和储量的主要来源。从构造动力体制来看,华北克拉通在漫长的演化历史中曾经达过中晚元古代的离散型陆缘,早古生代到晚古生代的汇聚型陆缘和显生宙中生代克拉通活化多个构造阶段。金矿床主要形成于克拉通活化阶段,其总的构造背景可概括为由挤压,碰撞作用晚期或期后向伸展构造的转变时期。金成矿具有明显的区域地球化学背景。虽然华北克拉通绿岩带型金矿床形成时代不尽相同,但具有相似的地质地球化学特征,并与显生宙花岗岩类侵入体具晚于花岗岩,指示金矿化是构造-花岗岩浆演化晚期的产物。因此,这些金矿床基本上可归为一个成矿系统,即绿岩带中与花岗质岩浆作用于有关的热液成矿系统。  相似文献

A volcanosedimentary complex of Middle–Late Devonian deposits in northwestern Rudny Altai is described. Analysis of sedimentologic processes, the kind of manifestation and specific composition of volcanism, and petrographic and chemical compositions of sedimentary rocks permitted reconstruction of paleogeographic and geodynamic settings, which confirmed the hypothesis of the island-arc nature of the Rudny Altai zone in the Middle–Late Devonian. Also, an alternative variant of its rift nature is considered. The rift buildings are referred to as local isolated complexes confined to positive paleovolcanic structures rising above the bottom in the fore-arc basin. The denudated part of the rift system is formed mainly by slope facies. Clastics of rift buildings, together with fragments of silicite and felsic-volcanics layers, compose widespread olistostrome breccias. We have established the humid type of lithogenesis, which, together with minor sea level fluctuations, favors karst processes and the formation of red-colored and bauxite-like rocks. The coeval volcanics composing lava flows and tuff layers are mainly rhyolites and are often of ultrafelsic composition.  相似文献

位于长江中下游地洼区中的洪镇地区出露了变形变质的元古界结晶基底,并伴有主动侵位的燕山期花岗岩。在结晶基底与侏罗系至第三系基本没有变形变质的“稳定盖层”之间的“活动盖层”中可划分出三个滑脱剥离系,它们分别山元古界与寒武系、泥盆系与石炭系、中三叠统月山组与铜头尖组三个主剥离断层及其上盘相关的正断层系组成。本区包括变质杂岩核、基底剥离断层、“活动盖层”和“稳定盖层”的构造组合。具有不同于科迪勒拉型变质核杂岩的结构特征,称之为陆内伸展型变质核杂岩。它表现出上地幔隆升和中,上地壳多层次拆离、减薄,并控制了燕山期中酸性岩浆岩体的侵位方式和层状多金属矿床的分布、形态和成矿机理。  相似文献

构造与成矿活动是否具有旋回性是地质界长期争论的一个命题。本文根据矿床成矿系列理论和方法,论述了秦岭造山带构造-成矿活动,划分出新太古代-古元古代早期、古元古代晚期、中-新元古代、早古生代、晚古生代和中、新生代6个构造-成矿旋回,探讨了每个旋回的矿床成矿系列特征和成矿演化历史。指出该造山带的成矿作用既有长期性和连续性,也有间断性和旋回性;中、新元古代至早古生代和中、新生代两个时期是秦岭造山带中两个主要的成矿高峰期;构造-成矿作用可分为开裂、拼合及相对稳定三个阶段;成矿作用早期以幔源岩浆侵入及海相火山活动为主,晚期以壳幔混源-壳源的陆相中酸性岩浆侵入及火山活动为主;与火成活动及开裂作用有关的成矿活动在南、北两个成矿域之间具有振荡性演化的特征.   相似文献

A molybdenum province of Middle Proterozoic age is described from the Southern Norrbotten region (Northern Sweden). This province occurs at the margin of an inferred Karelian continent and is limited to the south by an important ESE-WNW trending palaeogeographic divide between a marine, possibly oceanic domain, and a continental domain. The molybdenum mineralizations occur as: (a) porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits found in calc-alkaline plutonic rocks which belong to an early orogenic event and, speculatively, are related to subduction movements; (b) Mo-mineralizations associated with aplitic granites, granite cupolas, pegmatites and brecciated, strongly altered acid volcanics. These deposits are generally associated with acid magmatic rocks of a more alkaline nature. They probably belong to a late tectono-magmatic event and seem to be related to the development of rift systems.  相似文献
