High spins states in 99Rh were populated via the 66Zn(37Cl, 2p2n)99Rh reaction at an incident beam energy of 130 MeV. Seventeen new transitions have been observed in the present study and the level scheme has now been extended up to a spin of J∼ 25ħ and an excitation energy of about E x∼ 10 MeV. The observation of a positive parity E2 cascade based on the 9/2+ isomeric level is suggestive of collective behaviour in this nucleus up to high spins. Spherical shell model (within restricted model space) and Cranked shell model calculations were performed to obtain an insight into the observed level structure. The new collective band observed up to a spin of J∼ 25ħ is suggested to be based on (πg 9/2 3) ⊗ (νg 7/2 2) quasi-particle excitations. A recoil distance method was used to measure half-lives of the excited states of 145Sm. The reaction used was 139La(10B, 4n)145Sm. A plunger system was used. Half-lives were determined for two excited states for the first time. The yrast 27/2+ state was found to have a half-life of 1.1 ± 0.2 ns corresponding to the retardation of 3.1 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle estimate of M1. The excitation energy of this state was well reproduced by the shell model calculation having a mixed configuration of [π{h11/2(g7/2)−2 (d5/2)−1}10−, νf7/2] + [π{h11/2(g7/2)−1}9−,νh9/2]. Another retarded E1 transition was also found in a decay of a 21/2+ state. Its retardation was 1.6 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle value. High-spin states of odd-odd 168Lu were observed up to 18ħ for the first time using the 159Tb(13C, 4nγ)168Lu reaction at E 13C= 58.5 MeV. γ-γ coincidence, E γ singles, excitation function, and the DCO ratios were measured. Two rotational bands with signature splitting were populated, among which the lower-energy band is identified as π 7/2+[404] ⊗ν 5/2+[642] in view of alignment and energy systematics. High-spin states in 183Os have been studied by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Two isomers with I π= ((43/2)) and (43/2)+ have been identified at excitation energies of E x = 5.068 and 5.168 MeV. The half-lives are determined as T 1/2= 27 ± 3 and 24 ± 2 ns. Received: 22 December 1997  相似文献

The results of in-beam investigations of excited states of 99Ru using the 98Mo(α,3n) reaction are presented. Angular distributions of γ–rays and γ–γ coincidences have been measured. Excited states have been identified up to an energy of E = 5603 keV and spin of Iπ= 31/2. Mean lifetimes τ have been determined using the DSA method for eleven levels. Aligned angular momenta are discussed and the probable (νh 11/2) origin of a backbending at frequency about 0.5 MeV was confirmed. The possible role of (νd 5/2) alignment at frequencies above 0.5 MeV was pointed out. Received: 13 January 1999 / Revised version: 26 March 1999  相似文献

The decay of the 17 μs isomer of 133Sb was re-investigated experimentally. It was produced by thermal neutron induced fission of 241Pu. Its detection is based on time correlation between fission fragments selected by the LOHENGRIN spectrometer at ILL (Grenoble), and the γ-rays, and conversion electrons from the isomer. The interpretation of the level scheme is based on shell model calculations, where empirical two-body matrix elements were employed. The good agreement between theory and experiment suggests that the isomer is the 21/2+ member of the 2p-1h πg 7/2ν(f 7/2 h 11/2 −1) configuration. In this work we have identified and studied the decay of two new microsecond isomers 19/2- and 23/2+ in 131Sb. This neutron-rich nucleus was produced by thermal neutron-induced fission of 241Pu. The detection is based on time correlation between fission fragments selected by the LOHENGRIN spectrometer at ILL (Grenoble) and the γ-rays or conversion electrons from isomers. These new data on high-spin states complete the level scheme previously obtained from β-decay. A large fraction of the members of the πg 7/2ν(h 11/2 -1 d 3/2 -1) and πg 7/2νh 11/2 -2 multiplets are now known and were compared with a multi-particle shell model calculation. The decay of 111Ru obtained from fast on-line chemical and mass separation has been investigated by β-γ-t and γ-γ coincidence techniques. Earlier spin and parity assignments of 111Rh levels based on extrapolations of level systematics are confirmed. In particular, the K=1/2 intruder band is supported by the hindrance of E2 transitions between deformed and spherical states and enhancement of intraband E2 transitions. The excitation energies of intruder band members in Rh isotopes show a minimum at 109Rh64, with two neutrons less than 111Rh at the N=66 midshell. This trend, which differs from the one in the higher-Z neighbouring elements Ag and Cd with minima at N=66, follows the evolution of deformation observed in the lower-Z elements Ru and Mo. The angular distribution of nucleons emitted in the 12C(γ,pn) reaction has been measured using tagged photons at the Mainz microtron MAMI. The variation of the reaction strength with the polar angles of the two emitted nucleons is reported for Eγ=120−150 MeV. The proton angular distribution peaks at more backward angles than the 2H(γ,p) differential cross section indicating a departure from the simple quasi-deuteron model of 2N photo-emission. The distribution shape is in reasonable agreement with microscopic theoretical models which include both π- and ρ-exchange. Received: 3 September 1997 / Revised version: 17 December 1997  相似文献

The 107,109Rh nuclei have been produced as fission fragments following the fusion reaction 28Si +176Yb at 145 MeV bombarding energy and studied with the Eurogam2 array. In both nuclei three new rotational bands with the odd proton occupying the πg9/2, πp1/2 and π(g7/2/d5/2) sub-shells have been observed. In 107Rh, two other bands involving strong M1 transitions have been identified at excitation energy larger than 2 MeV. They can be interpreted in terms of three quasiparticle excitations. In addition new structures consisting of four transitions, built on states located at low excitation energy (680 keV in 107Rh and 642 keV in 109Rh), point out the importance of triaxial deformation in these two isotopes. High-spin states of 117Xe were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques via the reaction of 28Si bombarding a 92Mo target at beam energies of 100-120 MeV. A positive-parity rotational band decaying into the yrast negative-parity band by a series of enhanced E1 transitions was observed for the first time, implying the existence of octupole correlations in 117Xe. The B(E1) values increase with spin. The νd5/2 band was firmly established up to 27/2+ and the B(M1)/B(E2) ratios were extracted from the relative intensities of γ-rays in this band. The previously known νh11/2 and νg7/2 [413]5/2+α=−1/2 bands were confirmed and extended up to high spins and two bandcrossings are observed in the latter at ħω=0.33 and 0.44 MeV, respectively. The bandcrossings and configurations of these bands are discussed by TRS and CSM calculations. In a γ–γ–t measurement, the 11/2 and 7/2 levels were identified as two isomers with half-lives of 59.4±20 ns and 16.5±8.0 ns, respectively. Eighteen previously unknown γ-ray transitions were identified in the T z = - 1/2 nucleus 51Fe following the fusion-evaporation reaction 32S(28Si,2α1n)51Fe. The level scheme reaches the fully aligned I π = 27/2- terminating state of the five holes in the f 7/2 shell. The 17/2- state was found to be isomeric, and the lifetime was measured to be 2.87 ns. The mirror symmetry of 51Fe and 51Mn is discussed, and the level scheme of 51Fe is compared to shell-model calculations. Received: 20 July 2000 / Accepted: 1 August 2000  相似文献

A nuclear resonance fluorescence experiment on 88Sr has been performed with bremsstrahlung of 6.7 MeV endpoint energy. The γ-ray linear polarisation has been measured with a EUROBALL CLUSTER detector used as a Compton polarimeter. The results indicate positive parity for the J= 1 state at 4.742 MeV in 88Sr, in contrast to the previous interpretation as a 1 two-phonon (2+ 1⊗ 3 1) state and in conflict with the predictions of the quasiparticle-phonon model. On the basis of such calculations the 1+ state at 3.486 MeV may be considered as the 1+ 1 one-phonon state and the very strong 1+ 1→ 0+ 1 deexcitation as proton spin-flip 2p1/2→ 2p3/2 transition. An investigation of low-lying energy levels of 130Pr and 130Ce has been made via β-decay. The radioactive parent nuclei were produced via 94,96Mo + 40Ca reactions at 6.8 MeV/nucleon and transported by a He-jet system. Gamma-γ-t, γ-X-t, γ-e--t coincidence measurements were performed. Internal conversion coefficients have been measured with a magnetic spectrometer. The new β-decay half-life of 130Nd has been determined to be 21(3) s. A partial level scheme of 130Pr at low-spin has been constructed. The β-decay of 130Pr to 130Ce suggests the existence of three β-instable isomeric states in 130Pr, while only one half-life T 1/2 = 40(4) s has been measured. Based on the present work and low-lying excited states in neighbouring odd-mass nuclei, the spins and parities of isomeric states in 130Pr are proposed to be 2+, (4,5)+ and (7,8±). The ground state in 130Pr is still undetermined. Received: 20 August 2001 / Accepted: 6 November 2001  相似文献

High-spin states in 143Pm have been investigated via the 128Te(19F,4nγ)143Pm reaction using techniques of in-beam γ-spectroscopy. γ-ray singles, γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray anisotropies and DCO ratios have been measured. Based on these measurements, the level scheme of 143Pm has been extended up to an excitation energy of 10535.4 keV, including 48 new γ-rays deexciting 28 new levels. The yrast levels in 143Pm can be understood qualitatively in the framework of a weak-coupling model. Received: 10 July 2000 / Accepted: 12 October 2000  相似文献

The (p,α) reaction on 90Zr has been studied in a high resolution experiment at an incident proton energy of 22 MeV. The cross section and asymmetry angular distributions for transitions to 36 levels of 87Y with an excitation energy up to 3 MeV have been measured. DWBA analyses of experimental angular distributions, using either Woods-Saxon or Double Folded potentials for the exit channel, have been done, allowing either the confirmation of previous spin and parity values or the assignment of new spin and parity to a large number of states. The structure of low lying states of 87Y has been studied in the framework of the shell model, using the OXBASH code. With the interaction PMM90 reasonable agreement is obtained for part of the negative parity spectrum. Received: 17 November 1997  相似文献

The lifetime of the first 2+ state in the nucleus 124Ba has been measured by γ-γ coincidence recoil-distance Doppler shift method. The 109Ag(19F, 4n)124Ba reaction at a beam energy of 75 MeV was employed to populate excited states in 124Ba. The mean lifetime was determined to be 275(12) ps using the differential decay curve method. The value of B(E2;01 +→ 21 +) for 124Ba deduced from the lifetime is in reasonable agreement with the prediction of the proton-neutron interacting boson model(IBM-2) without Pauli blocking effect. High-spin states in 112Pd were studied using prompt γ-ray spectroscopy with Gammasphere following heavy-ion-induced fission in the reaction 18O + 208Pb at 91 MeV. A new 8+ level at 2638 keV was discovered with transitions connecting it to the yrast band and the quasi-gamma band. The three, now established, closely spaced 8+ states indicate a mixing between the ground-state band, s-band, and quasi-gamma band. Several high-spin structures with likely negative parity have been extended to higher spin and it is proposed that they are based on the νh 11/2(g 7/2 d 5/2) and νh 11/2(s 1/2 d 3/2) configurations. High-spin states in 181Ta have been studied via the 176Yb(11B,α2n) reaction at 52 MeV using the PEX array and at 57 MeV using the NORDBALL array, with α-particle detection. The previously known, Kπ=(7/2)+ ground state band and Kπ=(9/2) band have been extended to spins (29/2)+ and (31/2), respectively. Two new one-quasiparticle bands, the Kπ=(5/2)+ band built on the known (5/2)+ isomer and a Kπ=((1/2)) band have been observed. Two other rotational bands with three-quasiparticle structure, Kπ=(15/2) and ((19/2)+ with π(7/2)[404]ν2(1/2)[510](9/2)[624] and π(9/2)[514]ν2(1/2)[510](9/2)[624] configurations, respectively, have been newly observed. The half-life of the Kπ=((19/2)+) bandhead which decays to the head of the (15/2) band has been measured to be 140(36) ns. However, transitions from the ((19/2)+) state to the (15/2) band have not been observed. Received: 26 August 1998  相似文献

High spin states in 108In have been established upto ∼ 8 MeV in excitation energy and to a tentative spin of (23). The data were obtained by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy using the reaction 93Nb(19F, p3n)108In at a beam energy of 86 MeV. Four sequences of dipole bands and a normal rotational band of E2 γ-transitions have been placed in the level scheme. Received: 16 June 1998  相似文献
