A conduction-cooled superconducting magnet producing a transverse field of 4 T has been designed for a new generation multi-field coupling measurement system,which will be used to study the mechanical behavior of superconducting samples at cryogenic temperatures and intense magnetic fields.A compact cryostat with a two-stage GM cryocooler is designed and manufactured for the superconducting magnet.The magnet is composed of a pair of flat racetrack coils wound by NbTi/Cu superconducting composite wires,a copper and stainless steel combinational former and two Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_v superconducting current leads.The two coils are connected in series and can be powered with a single power supply.In order to support the high stress and attain uniform thermal distribution in the superconducting magnet,a detailed finite element(FE) analysis has been performed.The results indicate that in the operating status the designed magnet system can sufficiently bear the electromagnetic forces and has a uniform temperature distribution.  相似文献

Superconducting magnet system for a 28GHz ECR ion source has been designed.The maximum axial magnetic fields are 4T at the rf injection side and 2T at the beam extraction side,respectively.The hexapole magnetic field is about 2T on the inner surface of the plasma chamber.The superconducting coils consist of six solenoids and six racetrack windings for a hexapole field.Two kinds of coil arrangements were investigated:one is an arrangement in which the hexpole coil is located in the bore of the solenoids,and another is the reverse of it.The coils use NbTi-Copper conductor and are bath-cooled in liquid helium.The six solenoids are excited with individual power supplies to search for the optimal axial field distribution.The current leads use high Tc material and the cryogenic system is operated in LHe re-condensation mode using small refrigerators.The thermal insulated supports of the cold mass have also been designed based on the calculated results of the magnetic force.The heat loads to 70K and LHe stages were estimated from the design of the supports,the current leads and so on.  相似文献

针对聚变工程大型超导导体样品在高场下的性能测试需求,设计了内径0.6m、磁场13T的背景磁体系统。磁体系统由6层12个分离式超导线圈组成,线圈采用常规的螺线管结构,由外至内分别使用NbTi、Nb3Sn和YBCO三种超导材料绕制而成;在直径500mm的测试区域范围内产生最高达13.22T的背景磁场,均匀性不低于95%。介绍了磁体线圈主要设计参数,用有限元软件完成电磁、结构分析。结果表明,设计合理可靠,能够满足导体测试装置的需求。  相似文献

上海光源二期工程建设计划研制一台多极超导扭摆器用于生物医学的X射线成像及治疗。该多极超导扭摆器由21对NbTi超导线圈组成,磁极气隙为22mm,在储存环束流电子能量为3.5GeV时其特征能量为33keV,覆盖的能量范围为20keV到120keV,可用于K边吸收成像、衍射增强成像、相衬成像、CT和微束放射治疗。文中的主要内容为一个具有21个磁极,周期长度为140mm,气隙中心磁感应强度为4.2T的多极超导扭摆器的磁场设计,包括磁极和线圈的参数设计、端部结构和周期磁场的积分场设计,以及简要的超导线圈应力应变分析。  相似文献

本文提出一种用于短腔、自屏蔽磁共振成像超导磁体系统的混合优化设计方法,通过结合线性规划和非线性优化算法,设计出的磁体系统具有建造成本低、结构简单、以及线圈中最高磁场、电流安全裕度和电磁应力可控等优点.首先,通过线性规划算法在欲布置线圈空间范围内建立二维连续网格划分,搜索满足磁场约束条件的网格电流分布图;其次,将电流分布图中的非零电流簇离散成螺线管线圈,通过非线性优化算法计算出满足成像区域磁场均匀度要求、5 Gs杂散场限制、线圈中最高磁场限制、电流安全裕度以及线圈间尺寸间隔等约束条件的线圈结构参数.文中给出一个中心磁场为1.5T自屏蔽磁共振成像超导磁体系统的设计案例,在50 cm球形成像区域所产生的磁场峰峰值不均匀度为10 ppm,线圈最大长度为1.32 m.该设计方法可用于对称、非对称螺线管线圈系统以及开放式双平面线圈系统的磁共振成像磁体系统设计.  相似文献

20 T以上强磁场在高场科学工程中有着不可替代的作用. 电工研究所正在研制一个25 T全超导磁体系统, 包括15 T背景磁场和10 T高温超导内插磁体. 在磁体的设计和优化中, 线圈的数量和种类对于最终优化结果十分关键. 为了研究磁体数量和磁体相关参数的关系, 计算了20 组不同的线圈组合下磁体的优化结果. 优化中除了考虑必要的限制条件以外, 还采用了一种结合局部优化算法和全局优化算法的方法. 通过对比分析发现, 线圈数量和磁体造价之间, 存在一个“V”形的关系. 更进一步地, 本文分析了不同超导体在磁体中应该贡献的最佳磁场, 以及背景磁体统一供电给优化结果带来的影响.  相似文献

Mechanical power units utilizing electromagnetic interaction between coils are generally distinguished by compactness and ease of control. A coil-repulsion drive configuration is preferable for increasing the efficiency of such a device. One of the main limitations in choosing the parameters of stressed electromagnetic systems is mechanical strength. The application of superconducting coils has a number of additional limitations, for example, on the maximum magnetic field strength in the cross section of the coils. The problems of optimizing the dimensions of the electromagnetic system of a power unit consisting of two identical, coaxial, annular coils of rectangular cross section with opposing currents are investigated with allowance for strength and magnetic field limitations. The resonance frequency-space and the frequency gradient-space relations are evaluated analytically for the static fringe magnetic field of superconducting magnets used in the NMR diffusion measurements. The model takes into account the actual design of the high-homogeneity magnet coil system that consists of the main coil and the cryoshim coils and enables a precise calibration of the on-axis magnetic field gradient and the resonance frequency inside and outside of the superconducting coil.  相似文献

We consider the possibility of designing a plasma trap with a magnetic system formed by super-conducting rings and coils levitating in the field of a fixed coaxial coil carrying constant current. An analytic dependence of the potential energy of such a system with one or two levitating superconducting rings having trapped preset magnetic fluxes on their coordinates in the uniform gravitational field is obtained in the thin ring approximation. Calculations performed in the Mathcad system show that equilibrium states of such a system exist for certain values of parameters. Levitating states of a single superconducting ring and two superconducting rings in the field of the coil with constant current are observed experimentally in positions corresponding to calculated values.  相似文献

本文发展了开放式自屏蔽全身成像高场超导磁共振成像(MRI)磁体的优化设计方法,使设计出来的磁体仅有4 对超导线圈. 这种开放结构的超导MRI磁体优化设计方法集成了线性规划算法和遗传算法. 通过迭代线性规划算法可以在考虑成像区域(DSV)磁感应强度约束、磁场不均匀度约束、5 Gs线范围约束、线圈区域最大磁场值约束和最大环向应力约束的条件下,获得用线量最少的线圈初始形状和位置,同时可以得到每个线圈的层数和每层匝数;通过遗传算法可以提高DSV区域的磁场不均匀度,以达到高质量成像的要求. 这种集成的优化设计方法既可以灵活有效的设计开放式MRI磁体,也可以设计传统的圆柱形MRI磁体,本文通过一个1.2 T的开放式MRI磁体的设计清楚的展示了这种优化方法. 关键词: 线性规划算法 遗传算法 自屏蔽 开放式超导MRI磁体  相似文献

A new compact version of the"liquid He-free"superconducting Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion Source,to be used as an injector for the U-400M cyclotron,is presently under construction at the FLNR in collaboration with LHE(JINR).The axial magnetic field of the source is created by the superconducting magnet,and the NdFeB hexapole is used for the radial plasma confinement.The microwave frequency of 14GHz will be used for ECR plasma heating.The DECRIS-SC2 superconducting magnet is designed for the induction of a magnetic field on the axis of the source of up to 1.4T(extraction side)and 1.9T(injection side) at nominal current of 75A.Cooling of the coils is carried out by CM cryocooler with cooling power of 1W at the temperature 4.5K.The basic design features of the superconducting magnet and of the ion source are presented.The main parts of the source are in production.The first beam test of the source is expected in the beginning of 2007.  相似文献

The dependence of the quench currents on the ramp rate was studied for four small NbTi coils. Two pairs of superconducting coils were tested. In one pair the SC 0.85-mm-dia wire with 2970 filaments was used, in the other two coils the SC wire contained 8910 filaments of smaller size. Two coils (with different number of filaments) contained 4.9 vol % of Large-Heat-Capacity Substance (LHCS) in the form of tiny powder evenly distributed over the winding volume, therefore their heat capacity at 4.2 K was an order of magnitude larger than that for coils without LHCS. The LHCS was introduced into the winding in a mixture with epoxy resin (“wet” winding). When the self-magnetic field varied with a rate of ≥5 T/s, premature quenches were observed in the central turns of the undoped coil made of a wire with 2970 filaments. These transitions are likely to be caused by magnetic flux jumps. In the LHCS-doped coil made of the same wire, the quenches took place at currents two to three times higher, since the sample was heated up to a critical temperature because of electrical losses (as confirmed by calculations). Thus, the improved stability of the LHCS-containing coils not only against long-term (0.1–1.0 s) disturbances but also against much shorter (10–100 μs) jumps of the magnetic flux is demonstrated.  相似文献

The displacement and stress distributions in toroidally arranged circular superconducting coils producing the toroidal field for fusion experiments are computed by a finite element method. The results are compared with the displacement and stress distributions in one superconducting coil which forms part of different arrangements simulating torus conditions. Four arrangements with three coils are discussed; three of them consist of one superconducting coil with an inner coil winding diameter of 0.94 m and a maximum stored magnetic energy of 2.1 MJ, and two copper coils which were designed for experimental tests. The fourth 3-coil arrangement consists of three identical superconducting coils forming a sector of the torus.  相似文献

An extra superconducting coil added to a standard, high-field solenoid results in a self-shielding solenoid system which utilizes flux conservation to passively shield an interior volume from changes in the ambient field, such as those from elevators or subways. For this first experimental demonstration, a highly homogeneous 6 T solenoid and an added coil were arranged in one of the geometries predicted to produce effective shielding. The fluctuations in the shielded high-field region are observed to be smaller than the fluctuations in the spatially uniform ambient magnetic field by a large factor of 156, confirming the general shielding principles presented earlier. This shielding is crucial for ongoing antiproton cyclotron resonance experiments and should be useful for nuclear magnetic resonance experiments and ion cyclotron resonance experiments and for other applications where high field and high stability are required simultaneously.  相似文献

We present a novel and general formulation for the optimisation of gradient coils, wherein the minimization of the conductor length and the simplicity of construction are two of the main design parameters. The bi-planar gradient coils are intended to be part of a new compact neonatal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner based on a 0.35 T permanent magnet. It is shown that minimizing the current density vector is equivalent to minimizing the wire length. The gradient coil design involves a convex optimization method where the Euclidian and Manhattan norms of the current density vector are minimized under the field linearity, wire width, force and shielding constraints. The design problem is solved iteratively in order to include the influence of the magnetization of the pole and iron ring over the gradient field linearity. A suite of gradient coils using both norms and resistance minimization are designed and their performances are compared. Gradient coils designed using Euclidian norm show shorter wire length and slightly better performance than that designed using Manhattan norms; however, the presence of straight wires in the current pattern is very convenient for manufacturing purpose.  相似文献

磁共振成像(magnetic resonance imaging,MRI)是当今世界上最先进的医学影像技术之一,现阶段MRI技术正朝着成像质量更清晰、功能更强大、效率更高、个体化更强的趋势发展.与全身MRI设备相比,专科型MRI设备具有体积小、重量轻、成本低、病人舒适度高、成像质量高、功能更强等优点.但是关节专用超导MRI系统需要长度方向上被严格限制的超导磁体在160 mm直径球域(diameter sphere volume,DSV)内产生高均匀度的磁场.本文综合考虑了超导线用量、中心磁感应强度和成像区磁场不均匀度等因素,使用0-1规划和遗传算法相结合的方法设计了一种非屏蔽型1.5 T关节MRI超导磁体,该磁体的室温孔径为280 mm,总长度为520 mm,液氦量为30 L,载流区最大磁场为5.48 T,5高斯线范围为径向3.2 m、轴向2.6 m,160 mm DSV的磁场不均匀度设计值为22 ppm,考虑加工误差及冷缩因素,磁体加工完成并经过被动匀场后的预估值为60 ppm.经过绕制、固化、组装、焊接等工序,该磁体已制作完成.经过3次锻炼后成功励磁到1.5 T,经过被动匀场后160 mm DSV的磁场不均匀度达到50 ppm,各项指标均达到设计目标.  相似文献

Based on a brief review of accelerators widely used for proton-ion therapy and for curing patients over the last 20 years, the necessity and feasibility of creating compact superconducting synchrocyclotrons with a magnetic field value up to 10 T are outlined. The main component of modern commercial facilities for proton-ion therapy is an isochronous cyclotron with room-temperature or superconducting coils which accelerates protons to 250 MeV or a synchrophasotron with carbon-ion energy reaching 400 MeV/nucleon. Usually the ions are delivered from the accelerator to the medical-treatment room via transport lines, while irradiation is produced by means of a system that is comprised of pointing magnets, collimators, and energy degraders mounted on a rotating gantry. To greatly reduce the price of the facility (by an order of magnitude) and to facilitate the work of hospital personnel, the isocentric rotation of a compact superconducting synchrocyclotron around the patient is proposed. Estimates of the physical and technical parameters of the facility are given.  相似文献

Creation of a delivery system based on noncontact positioning and transport of the cryogenic fuel targets represents one of the major tasks in a general program of inertial fusion energy (IFE) research. The purpose is to maintain the fuel layer quality during acceleration and injection of IFE targets at the focus of a powerful laser facility or IFE reactor. The program of the Lebedev Physical Institute (LPI) includes much development work on creation of different designs of the hybrid accelerators for IFE target transport with levitation. One of the main directions is an electromagnetic accelerator (EM-AC) + PMG system, where PMG is the permanent magnet guideway. The operational principle is based on quantum levitation of type-II high-temperature superconductors (HTSC) in the magnetic field. At the current stage, conceptual development of “EM-AC + PMG” hybrid accelerator is complete, and proof-of-principle experiments in mutually normal magnetic fields are made. This accelerator is a combination of the acceleration system (field coils generating the traveling magnetic waves) and the levitation system (PMG including a magnetic rail or magnetic track). The results obtained show that the HTSCs can be successfully used to maintain friction-free motion of HTSC sabots over the PMG, and also provide the required stability of the levitation height over the whole acceleration length due to the pinning effect. Additionally, using the driving body from MgB2 superconducting coils as a sabot component (critical current 5,000 A at magnetic induction 0.25 T) allows one to reach injection velocities of 200 m/s under 400 g at 5 m acceleration length.  相似文献

文中把目标场法引入到悬浮超导球体的球形线圈设计中,根据目标场法产生均匀磁场的原理,通过离散化绕组来近似处理球形线圈在超导球体和球形线圈的间隙内产生均匀磁场的电流密度分布规律。利用有限元分析和验证,在超导球体与球形线圈之间的间隙内产生了具有很好均匀性的悬浮磁场,这会明显提高超导球体悬浮的刚度和稳定性。  相似文献
