A self-boost charge pump topology is presented for a floating high-side gate drive power supply that features high voltage and current capabilities for use in integrated power electronic modules (IPEMs). The transformerless topology uses a small capacitor to transfer energy to the high-side switch from a single power supply referred to the negative rail. Unlike conventional bootstrap power supplies, no switching of the main phase-leg switches is required to provide power continuously to the high-side gate drive, even if the high-side switch is permanently on. Additional advantages include low parts-count and simple control requirements. A piecewise linear model of the self-boost charge pump is derived and the circuit's operating characteristics are analyzed. Simulation and experimental results are provided to verify the desired operation of the new charge pump circuit. Guidelines are provided to assist with circuit component selection in new applications. 相似文献

A dual transistor base drive circuit that unifies all important functions (on-state base current power supply for two power transistors, off-state negative U be =-5 V base-emitter voltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection scheme based on saturation voltage, and on- and off-state monitoring circuits) is described. The unit provides two base drive outputs using a single switching converter. It can be used to control two individual power transistors in different inverter configurations, e.g. common emitter or bridge configuration. The concept of a dual transistor base drive circuit using the Cuk switching regulator topology enables the low volume construction of a high-efficiency base drive unit for a high-power transistor inverter bridge leg. 随着大功率LED性价比的提高,输出光流量的增加,使LED应用在汽车前照灯成为可能。在输入电压在10~14V之间变化,负载采用8颗700mA大功率白光LED的条件下确定驱动方式、拓扑结构和调光方式,设计一种基于LTC3783芯片PWM控制LED亮度的恒流I。ED汽车前照灯驱动电路,并用LTspiceIV软件对电路进行了仿真。结果表明,输入电压在10~14V变化时输出电流为一个710mA均值,有0.7%纹波的电流,电流精度为2.1%,输出电压为28.6V,输出功率为20w,电路转换效率为91%。有PWM信号输入时,电路输出一个与PWM信号相同占空比的电流。通过调节PWM信号的占空比实现LED亮度的控制。 相似文献

Multilevel inverter (MLI) generates stepped voltage with appropriate switching combination of power devices, thus restraining the requirement of filter circuit for an efficient power conversion. MLIs are attracting due to some of the major features like economic cost, installation space, bulkiness, complexity along with its enormous applications in industries like cement factory, ceramic industry, aerospace applications etc. In this paper, a single-phase generalised inverter based on five different algorithms is proposed that uses the minimum of overall power components. The presented topology can be used in low and medium voltage applications. To verify the simulation results obtained by MATLAB/Simulink, DS1103 controller is used to generate the corresponding experimental results by developing a prototype model in the laboratory. Nevertheless, a comparative assessment for the different required components of the proposed topology is carried out with some recently developed topologies. Reduction in power switches, driver circuits and DC voltage sources reduces the size, cost, complexity and enhances the overall performance. In addition, level per switch ratio is added in this paper to decide the effectiveness of the proposed topology. 相似文献
