This paper is concerned with delay‐dependent stability for linear systems with time‐varying delays. By decomposing the delay interval into multiple equidistant subintervals, on which different Lyapunov functionals are chosen, and new Lyapunov‐Krasvskii functionals are then constructed. Employing these new Lyapunov‐Krasvskii functionals, some new delay‐dependent stability criteria are established. The numerical examples show that the obtained results are less conservative than some existing ones in the literature. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with establishing robust stability and stabilization criteria for discrete singular time‐delay linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. Firstly, a robust stability criterion is obtained for this class of systems by a delay‐partition approach, and thereby a less conservative sufficient condition which guarantees discrete singular time‐delay LPV systems to be admissible is given. Secondly, a class of state feedback controllers for stabilizing discrete singular time‐delay LPV systems is designed. Finally, compared with existing results, the numerical results of several examples illustrate the effectiveness of the approach proposed in this paper. This paper addresses exponential stability of linear networked control systems. More specifically, the paper considers a continuous‐time linear plant in feedback with a linear sampled‐data controller with an unknown time varying sampling rate, the possibility of data packet dropout, and an uncertain time varying delay. The main contribution of this paper is the derivation of new sufficient stability conditions for linear networked control systems taking into account all of these factors. The stability conditions are based on a modified Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional. The stability results are also applied to the case where limited information on the delay bounds is available. The case of linear sampled‐data systems is studied as a corollary of the networked control case. Furthermore, the paper also formulates the problem of finding a lower bound on the maximum network‐induced delay that preserves exponential stability as a convex optimization program in terms of linear matrix inequalities. This problem can be solved efficiently from both practical and theoretical points of view. Finally, as a comparison, we show that the stability conditions proposed in this paper compare favorably with the ones available in the open literature for different benchmark problems. This paper presents several new robust stability conditions for linear discrete‐time systems with polytopic parameter uncertainties and time‐varying delay in the state. These stability criteria, derived by defining parameter‐dependent Lyapunov functions, are not only dependent on the maximum and minimum delay bounds, but also dependent on uncertain parameters in the sense that different Lyapunov functions are used for the entire uncertainty domain. It is established, theoretically, that these robust stability criteria for the nominal and constant‐delay case encompass some existing result as their special case. The delay‐dependent and parameter‐dependent nature of these results guarantees the proposed robust stability criteria to be potentially less conservative.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the stability analysis and control synthesis of finite‐time boundedness problems for linear parameter‐varying (LPV) systems subject to parameter‐varying time delays and external disturbances. First, the concepts of uniform finite‐time stability and uniform finite‐time boundedness are introduced to LPV systems. Then, sufficient conditions, which guarantee LPV systems with parameter‐varying time delays finite‐time bounded, are presented by using parameter‐dependent Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals and free‐weight matrix technologies. Moreover, on the basis of the results on the uniform finite‐time boundedness, the parameter‐dependent state feedback controllers are designed to finite‐time stabilize LPV systems. Both analysis and synthesis conditions are delay‐dependent, and they are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities by using efficient interior‐point algorithms. Finally, results obtained in simulation demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The problem of delay‐dependent robust stabilization for uncertain singular discrete‐time systems with Markovian jumping parameters and time‐varying delay is investigated. In terms of free‐weighting‐matrix approach and linear matrix inequalities, a delay‐dependent condition is presented to ensure a singular discrete‐time system to be regular, causal and stochastically stable based on which the stability analysis and robust stabilization problem are studied. An explicit expression for the desired state‐feedback controller is also given. Some numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The paper considers the parametric absolute stabilization for interconnected Lurie time‐delay systems with polytopic uncertainty. The concept of parametric absolute stabilization characterizes both the existence and the stability of equilibrium in the case of uncertain parameters and reference input shift. First, the existing conditions of parametric stability and the stable region are studied by the change of the uncertain parameters and reference input based on decentralized state feedback. Then, a delay‐dependent absolute stability condition in parametric stabilization region for interconnected Lurie time‐delay systems with polytopic uncertainties is obtained through a linear matrix inequality method. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

Decentralized delay‐dependent local stability and resilient feedback stabilization methods are developed for a class of linear interconnected continuous‐time systems. The subsystems are time‐delay plants which are subjected to convex‐bounded parametric uncertainties and additive feedback gain perturbations while allowing time‐varying delays to occur within the local subsystems and across the interconnections. The delay‐dependent local stability conditions are established at the subsystem level through the construction of appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional. We characterize decentralized linear matrix inequalities (LMIs)‐based delay‐dependent stability conditions by deploying an injection procedure such that every local subsystem is delay‐dependent robustly asymptotically stable with an γ‐level ??2‐gain. Resilient decentralized state‐feedback stabilization schemes are designed, which takes into account additive gain perturbations such that the family of closed‐loop feedback subsystems enjoys the delay‐dependent asymptotic stability with a prescribed γ‐level ??2‐gain for each subsystem. The decentralized feedback gains are determined by convex optimization over LMIs. All the developed results are tested on representative examples. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper concerns delay‐range‐dependent robust stability and stabilization for time‐delay system with linear fractional form uncertainty. The time delay is assumed to be a time‐varying continuous function belonging to a given range. On the basis of a novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, which includes the information of the range, delay‐range‐dependent stability criteria are established in terms of linear matrix inequality. It is shown that the new criteria can provide less conservative results than some existing ones. Moreover, the stability criteria are also used to design the stabilizing state‐feedback controllers. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper studies the robustness problem of the min–max model predictive control (MPC) scheme for constrained nonlinear time‐varying delay systems subject to bounded disturbances. The notion of the input‐to‐state stability (ISS) of nonlinear time‐delay systems is introduced. Then by using the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method, a delay‐dependent sufficient condition is derived to guarantee input‐to‐state practical stability (ISpS) of the closed‐loop system by way of nonlinear matrix inequalities (NLMI). In order to lessen the online computational demand, the non‐convex min‐max optimization problem is then converted to a minimization problem with linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints and a suboptimal MPC algorithm is provided. Finally, an example of a truck‐trailer is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results. This paper is concerned with the problem of stability and stabilization of neutral time‐delay systems. A new delay‐dependent stability condition is derived in terms of linear matrix inequality by constructing a new Lyapunov functional and using some integral inequalities without introducing any free‐weighting matrices. On the basis of the obtained stability condition, a stabilizing method is also proposed. Using an iterative algorithm, the state feedback controller can be obtained. Numerical examples illustrate that the proposed methods are effective and lead to less conservative results. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Robust finite‐time stability and stabilization problems for a class of linear uncertain time‐delay systems are studied. The concept of finite‐time stability is extended to linear uncertain time‐delay systems. Based on the Lyapunov method and properties of matrix inequalities, a sufficient condition that ensures finite‐time stability of linear uncertain time‐delay systems is given. By virtue of the results on finite‐time stability, a memoryless state feedback controller that guarantees that the closed‐loop system is finite time stable, is proposed. The controller design problem is solved by using the linear matrix inequalities and the cone complementarity linearization iterative algorithm. Numerical examples verify the efficiency of the proposed methods.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the linear minimum mean square error estimation for Itô‐type differential equation systems with random delays, where the delay process is modeled as a finite‐state Markov chain. By first introducing a set of equivalent delay‐free observations and then defining two reorganized Markov chains, the estimation problem of random delayed systems is reduced to the one of delay‐free Markov jump linear systems. The estimator is derived by using the innovation analysis method based on the Itô differential formula. And the analytical solution to this estimator is given in terms of two Riccati differential equations that are of finite dimensions. Conditions for existence, uniqueness, and stability of the steady‐state optimal estimator are studied for time‐invariant cases. In this case, the obtained estimator is very easy to implement, and all calculation can be performed off line, leading to a linear time‐invariant estimator. Linear parameter‐varying (LPV) systems provide a systematic framework for the study of nonlinear systems by considering a representative family of linear time‐invariant systems parameterized by system parameters residing in a compact set. The brief instability concept in such systems allows the linear system to be unstable for some trajectories of the LPV parameter set, so that instability occurs only for short periods of time. In the present paper, we extend the notion of brief instability to LPV systems with time delay in their dynamics. The results provide tools for the stability and performance analysis of such systems, where performance is evaluated in terms of induced ??2‐gain (or so‐called ?? norm). The main results of this paper illustrate that stability and performance conditions can be evaluated by examining the feasibility of parameterized sets of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Using the results of this paper, we then investigate analysis conditions to guarantee the asymptotic stability and ?? performance of fault‐tolerant control (FTC) systems, in which instability may take place for a short period of time due to the false identification of the fault signals provided by a fault detection and isolation (FDI) module. The numerical examples are used to illustrate the qualification of the proposed analysis and synthesis results for addressing brief instability in time‐delay systems. This paper is concerned with the delay‐dependent stability and robust stability for uncertain systems with time‐varying delay. Through constructing an appropriate type of Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional and proving its positive definiteness, using slack matrices and a convex combination condition, the delay‐dependent stability criteria, which are less conservative, are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are also given to illustrate the improvement on the conservatism of the delay bound over some existing results. In this paper, the problems of exponential stability and exponential stabilization for linear singularly perturbed stochastic systems with time‐varying delay are investigated. First, an appropriate Lyapunov functional is introduced to establish an improved delay‐dependent stability criterion. By applying free‐weighting matrix technique and by equivalently eliminating time‐varying delay through the idea of convex combination, a less conservative sufficient condition for exponential stability in mean square is obtained in terms of ε‐dependent linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). It is shown that if this set of LMIs for ε=0 are feasible then the system is exponentially stable in mean square for sufficiently small ε?0. Furthermore, it is shown that if a certain matrix variable in this set of LMIs is chosen to be a special form and the resulting LMIs are feasible for ε=0, then the system is ε‐uniformly exponentially stable for all sufficiently small ε?0. Based on the stability criteria, an ε‐independent state‐feedback controller that stabilizes the system for sufficiently small ε?0 is derived. Finally, numerical examples are presented, which show our results are effective and useful. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of robust stability analysis for uncertain neutral systems. In terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI), an improved delay‐dependent asymptotic stability criterion is developed without using bounding techniques on the related cross product terms. Based on this, a new delay‐dependent LMI condition for robust stability is obtained. Numerical examples are provided to show that the proposed results significantly improve the allowed upper bounds of the delay size over some existing ones in the literature. This paper proposes a method for robust state feedback controller design of networked control systems with interval time‐varying delay and nonlinearity. The key steps in the method are to construct an improved interval‐delay‐dependent Lyapunov functional and to introduce an extended Jessen's inequality. Neither free weighting nor model transformation is employed in the derivation of system stability criteria. It is shown that the maximum allowable bound on the nonlinearity could be computed through solving a constrained convex optimization problem; and the maximum allowable delay bound and the feedback gain of a memoryless controller could be derived by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
