The dynamics of crop-fallow rotation cycles of shifting cultivation has been poorly understood in northeastern part of the country although it is one of the major land use systems in the hilly states of this region. The present study was conducted to understand the dynamics of shifting cultivation through the use of Landsat time-series data from 1999 to 2016 in Champhai district of Mizoram. We mapped the current jhum fields and abandoned areas of each imagery of the study period and performed a post classification comparison to assess the crop-fallow rotation cycle/jhum cycle. The chrono-sequential change of slash and burn area over the past 17 years showed a decreasing trend with the greater part of the shifting cultivation area being occupied by 2nd year crop fields, covering 48.81% of total jhum land. On average, 114.46 km2 area were annually slashed for current jhum, out of which 33.41% continued with current jhum 2nd year cropping and only 3.27% of jhumias continued with 3rd year cropping. The shifting cultivation patches were mostly confined to moderately steep slopes (15°–30°). East facing aspect was mostly preferred and North facing aspect was least preferred. During the study period, 10 years jhum cycle covered the maximum area followed by 9 years and 11 years jhum cycle. The end result of this study proved that the prevalent jhum cycle in Champhai district is 8–11 years with a fallow period of 6–9 years.  相似文献

数字摄影测量技术正从单机工作方式向系统集成的工作方式转变,获取和处理空间数据已变得较为容易。在三维数字城市建筑物建模方面,要求必须快速有效地提取建筑物边界,才有可能进行快速的三维景观建模作业。本文提出了利用DSM和真正射影像相结合构建地形景观的一种新方法,首先从真正射影像上提取建筑物的边界线,对建筑物多边形进行三角化处理,视地面模型为一带洞多边形,同样进行Delaunay三角化处理,接着从DSM和DEM获取建筑物的高度信息,构建三维建筑物模型,最后通过纹理映射的方式,对整个建模场景进行纹理贴图,这一方法取得了较好效果,已经在生产实践中得到了应用。  相似文献

Recently there have been reports of forest regrowth occurring in different regions across the world. There is also a growing recognition of the potential beneficial impact that secondary forests may have on the global environment: providing crucial ecosystem services such as soil conservation, stabilization of hydrological cycles, carbon sequestration, and support for forest dependent communities. Consequently, there is a growing awareness of the need to recognize that landscapes are complex shifting mosaics wherein forest clearing and reforestation take place. In this study, the rates of reforestation, deforestation, forest regrowth and degradation were measured using multi-temporal Landsat images of Danjiangkou, China. Landsat data from 1990, 1999 and 2007 were (1) classified as dense forest, open forest and non-forest areas and (2) compared between years to identify forest cutting, regeneration and degradation. The results showed that there was a net gain of 29,315 ha of forest area (including dense and open forest) from 1990 to 2007, showing a clear trend of reforestation in the study area. Forest modification (degradation and regrowth) and change categories (deforestation and reforestation) occurred simultaneously during the observation time period. Socioeconomic data from public statistics and environmental attributes allowed the assessment of the socioeconomic factors and the environmental conditions that caused these changes using non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS). The research showed that the socioeconomic factors due to different policies were major driving forces of forest transition, whereas environmental attributes of the underlying landscape constrained forest cover changes. These findings have led to a better understanding of forest transition at a local scale in our study region. Comprehensive knowledge of these relationships may be useful to reconstruct past forest transitions and predict future changes, and may help to enhance sustainable management practices aimed at preserving essential ecological functions.  相似文献

复图像配准是干涉SAR处理中的关键步骤之一,要求配准精度达到0.1个像元的水平,而控制点的精确定位是复图像配准中的核心环节.尽管前人提出采用复相关系数法、信噪比法、平均扰动函数法等算法,但他们都是基于滑动窗口的算法,运算效率低.在分析前人算法的基础上,引入基于谱运算的复相关函数算法实现控制点的亚像元级精确定位,分析比较了算法的计算复杂度.应用该算法对我国某地区ERS-2的SLC数据进行了实验,生成了干涉图像,并进行了相干性分析,证明了该算法的可行性和稳健性.实验研究证明即使在主从图像时间间隔较大、相干性差的情况下,应用该算法也能获得干涉条纹图.  相似文献

The mapability of Landsat images has opened up a new potentiality for study of channel pattern changes which was earlier not so easy due to nonavailability of suitable evidences at different timespans. Middle Ganga plain covering largely the northern part of Bihar and parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh is in a slate of perpetual flux due to large scale channel migration and avulsion resulting in devastating floods. Mosaic of three Landsat images has helped to study the channel changes which have occurred since 1935. The course of the river Ganga has beeh digitised along a basal line and two dimensional coordinates are taken at as many as more than fifty sample points for studying the magnitude and direction of channel changes during 1935–1975 period. The analysis shows that the main multiple channel river Ganga is under the huge hydrostatic thrust to be shifted towards south of its basin annually at a very high rate of 100 Meter per year all along the course except at its upstream near Ghazipur and at Monghyr where the shifting is towards north. The northward bend at Monghyr may be due to the presence of the Precambrian outliers here. For the multi-and single channelld tributaries of Ganga in channel behaviour is mainly in three directions—the lower water channels in the floodplain of Ganga are shifting to the south in conformity with that of their parent stream, the tributaries in Gogra-Gandak doab are shifting towards east but the shifting of the Kosi-Mahananda group of tributaries in the eastern part of the basin is towards west These channel pattern changes thus known at the interregional scale from the Landsat images may further be integrated with the study in hydrogeomorphology and their pertinent environmental impact.  相似文献

There has been a significant advancement in the application of remote sensing from various space altitudes for inventorying and monitoring ofjhum (shifting) cultivation associated forest loss. The dynamic nature ofjhum system, complex physiography, small size of individualjhum plots and their discontinuous nature of distribution, highly heterogeneous vegetation and ever-changing atmospheric condition in the Arunachal Himalaya posses a great challenge to local flora and fauna. Indian Remote Sensing (IRS)-1C/1D LISS-III data were used to classify the current and abandonedjhum areas in Dibang valley district. The amount of area occupied by current and abandonedjhum corresponds to 199.34 km2(1.53%) and 225.40 km2(1.73%) respectively. Field data were collected following stratified random sampling method to gather information on plant community occurring in abandonedjhum cultivated areas. It was observed that only nine species out of 45 contribute to 50% of the important value index (IVI). Of the 45 species, 7 species (15.56%) have been found to be endemic to Eastern Himalayas. Population inducedjhum cultivation has led to deforestation, biodiversity loss, increased surface soil erosion, and sedimentation of water bodies in this area. The potential use of satellite-derived maps can best be used for better management and land use planning.  相似文献

Rivers flowing through the alluvium invariably have very low gradient forcing the river to flow slowly in a meandering and zigzag path. Nature and intensity of meandering is governed by the geological and tectonic conditions of the river basin. Barak River in tectonically active south Assam (Northeast India) exhibits intense meandering and shifting of the river course. Topographic data of two different years and satellite images of 4 different years covering a section of the Barak River have been investigated to verify the nature of changes undergone by the river through times. This study reveals active northward shift of the river and a prominent neck-cut off in the initial part of the study area. Northward shift of the river also occurred in the area west of Silchar. But, in the western part the river has shifted both towards north and south. Oscillatory shifting in the river channel has also been noticed. The river has shown a overall northward shift which is probably due to uplift of the southern part of the Barak River valley.  相似文献

面向Sentinel-2多光谱数据,依据影像地物空间结构和地表实际功能类型将建筑区分为高层建筑区和低层建筑区,构建了一种基于全卷积网络模型的高、低层建筑区快速提取技术。在此基础上,以雄安新区及其周边为试验区,选取2017年3月获取的4景Sentinel-2多光谱数据进行试验验证和分析。结果表明:本文技术能够实现大范围区域内高层和低层建筑区的快速提取,总体平均提取精度达到95.30%,其中高层建筑区平均提取精度为99.22%,低层建筑区平均提取精度为91.38%,该技术明显优于现有基于纹理结构的高低层建筑区提取方法。通过对提取结果进行统计分析发现:约4.4×104 km2的研究区内高层和低层建筑区分别约为94和7351 km2;雄安新区中心三县内高层和低层建筑区分别约为1.25和312.24 km2。本文技术具有很好的推广性,结合Sentinel-2数据大幅宽高频次观测特点和更多类型建筑区样本,可以实现大范围地表多类型建筑区动态监测。  相似文献

利用1980—2011年小时潮位数据和1952—2007年月平均潮位数据,对大港验潮站处海洋潮汐以及国家高程基准面近60年的变化进行了分析和研究。首先利用傅里叶变换对两组数据进行频谱分析,获得了影响海水面变化的180个较短周期分潮以及6个长周期分潮;然后对小时潮汐数据进行最小二乘调和分析,获得影响海水面变化的主要分潮的振幅及其变化,发现Q1、O1、M2、K1、K2的振幅具有非常明显的约19年的周期变化;并利用调和分析和18.61年移动平均对国家高程基准面的变化进行了估算,分别获得基准面1952—1980年的下降速率为1.07mm/a和0.76mm/a,1980—2011年的上升速率为1.59mm/a和1.62mm/a;最后,通过18.61年移动平均对1985高程基准进行了检核,发现两者相差0.14cm。  相似文献

This paper describes techniques to compute and map dasymetric population densities and to areally interpolate census data using dasymetrically derived population weights. These techniques are demonstrated with 1980-2000 census data from the 13-county Atlanta metropolitan area. Land-use/land-cover data derived from remotely sensed satellite imagery were used to determine the areal extent of populated areas, which in turn served as the denominator for dasymetric population density computations at the census tract level. The dasymetric method accounts for the spatial distribution of population within administrative areas, yielding more precise population density estimates than the choroplethic method, while graphically representing the geographic distribution of populations. In order to areally interpolate census data from one set of census tract boundaries to another, the percentages of populated areas affected by boundary changes in each affected tract were used as adjustment weights for census data at the census tract level, where census tract boundary shifts made temporal data comparisons difficult. This method of areal interpolation made it possible to represent three years of census data (1980, 1990, and 2000) in one set of common census tracts (1990). Accuracy assessment of the dasymetrically derived adjustment weights indicated a satisfactory level of accuracy. Dasymetrically derived areal interpolation weights can be applied to any type of geographic boundary re-aggregation, such as from census tracts to zip code tabulation areas, from census tracts to local school districts, from zip code areas to telephone exchange prefix areas, and for electoral redistricting.  相似文献

This paper investigates statistical relationships between land use/land cover (LULC), Landsat-7 ETM+ imagery and landscape mosaic structure in southern Cameroon where the conversion of tropical rain forest to shifting cultivation leads to dynamic processes, acting on the spatial aggregation of various LULC types. A Global Positioning System (GPS) was used in the field to identify a total of 171 shifting cultivation patches representing eight LULC types in two sub-areas. Because of the lack of a cloud-free image for the date of field sampling, the ETM+ imagery was acquired 2 months after field survey, during which it was assumed that no significant changes in LULC occurred (all dry season). Per pixel correlations were developed between spectral reflectance data, vegetation indices and LULC. As an exploratory study, several statistical methods (analysis of variance, means separations (Tukey HSD), principal component analysis (PCA), geo-statistical analysis, image classification and landscape metrics) were applied on point data and sensor images for evaluating the spatial variability within the landscape. Most variables explained 30–72% of LULC variation in the whole dataset. Those variables with high information content of LULC (infrared bands 4, 5, 7 and derived indices and PC1) also showed long ranges (6 km) spatial dependence as compared to those varying only within 1 km range. The results of these statistical analyses suggested the need to group some LULC types and the application of the Maximum Likelihood Classifier (MLC) for supervised classification provided a LULC map with the highest accuracy (81%) after consolidation of perennial LULC types, such as bush fallow, forest fallow and cocoa plantations. Landscape metrics computed from this map showed a high level of patch diversity and connectivity within the landscape and provided input data that can further be used to simulate predictive maps as substitute to cloud-covered sensor imageries. Landsat-7 ETM+ imagery proved to be useful in discriminating (with about 80% accuracy) the most dynamic LULC types such cropped plots and young fallow patches (shifting every season) and the extension front of the agricultural landscape.  相似文献

城市建成区的发展状况是地理国情监测的重要内容,本文基于遥感影像数据和POI数据对城市建成区进行提取,针对二者的适用性问题进行了研究。试验以沈阳市为研究区域,在研究区域内选择2016年遥感影像数据和POI数据作为数据源进行对比分析。首先,对遥感影像数据和POI数据进行预处理;其次,通过监督分类的方法对遥感影像进行建成区的提取;然后,采用核密度估计法分析POI数据并提取出建成区;最后,利用叠加分析法对比分析这两种数据的适用性。试验结果表明:使用遥感影像数据作为数据源可以较为全面客观地反映城市建成区的发展现状;利用POI数据提取出的城市建成区具有较强的经济属性,能够很好地反映出城市中的经济活跃区。  相似文献

Waterlogging and subsequent salinization and/or alkalization is the major land degradation problem in the irrigation commands of the semi-arid regions. Information on the nature, extent and spatial distribution of waterlogged areas is a pre-requisite for restoration of fertility, which has hitherto been generated conventionally. Realising the potential of spaceborne multispectral measurements in providing reliable information on spatial patterns of waterlogged areas in a timely and cost-effective manner, a study was taken up to delineate and monitor the spatial distribution pattern of waterlogged areas in Mahanadi command Stage-I covering parts of Orissa state, eastern India using Landsat-TM, Indian Remote Sensing satellite (IRS-1A) Linear Imaging Self-Scanning Sensor (LISS-II) and IRS-ID LISS-III data. A systematic on-the-screen visual interpretation approach after geo-referencing and radiometric normalization of digital multispectral data in a Silicon Graphics work station using ERDAS/ IMAGINE software was followed to realize the objectives. Results point to a significant increase in the spatial extent of waterlogged areas. Seasonally waterlogged areas increased from 29330 ha to 33421 ha and permanent waterlogged areas from 10870 ha to 12973 ha during the period 1988–89 to 1999–2000. Positional Accuracy of TIGER 2000 and 2009 Road Networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) data are an essential part of the US Census and represent a critical element in the nation's spatial data infrastructure. TIGER data for the year 2000, however, are of limited positional accuracy and were deemed of insufficient quality to support the 2010 Census. In response the US Census Bureau embarked on the MAF/TIGER Accuracy Improvement Project (MTAIP) in an effort to improve the positional accuracy of the database, modernize the data processing environment and improve cooperation with partner agencies. Improved TIGER data were released for the entire US just before the 2010 Census. The current study characterizes the positional accuracy of the TIGER 2009 data compared with the TIGER 2000 data based on selected road intersections. Three US counties were identified as study areas and in each county 100 urban and 100 rural sample locations were selected. Features in the TIGER 2000 and 2009 data were compared with reference locations derived from high resolution natural color orthoimagery. Results indicate that TIGER 2009 data are much improved in terms of positional accuracy compared with the TIGER 2000 data, by at least one order of magnitude across urban and rural areas in all three counties for most accuracy metrics. TIGER 2009 is consistently more accurate in urban areas compared with rural areas, by a factor of at least two for most accuracy metrics. Despite the substantial improvement in positional accuracy, large positional errors of greater than 10 m are relatively common in the TIGER 2009 data, in most cases representing remnant segments of minor roads from older versions of the TIGER data. As a result, based on the US Census Bureau's suggested accuracy metric, the TIGER 2009 data meet the accuracy expectation of 7.6 m for two of the three urban areas but for none of the three rural areas. The suggested metric is based on the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) protocol and was found to be very sensitive to the presence of a small number of very large errors. This presents challenges during attempts to characterize the accuracy of TIGER data or other spatial data using this protocol.  相似文献

A national level project on kharif rice identification and acreage estimation is being carried out successfully for several states in the country. A similar methodology based on the temporal profile for identification and delineation of various land cover classes has been followed for the Rabi rice acreage estimation. To define rabi rice, rabi season in India starts from November — February to March — June. Though the main growing season is predominantly winter but the uncertainty of getting cloud free data during the season has resulted in the use of microwave data. A feasibility study was taken up for early forecasting of the rabi rice area using microwave data. Hierarchical decision rule classification technique was used for the identification of the different land cover classes. Land preparation, puddling and transplantation were the reasons for the specific backscatter of rice growing areas. The increase or decrease in the SAR backscatter due to progress in the crop phenology or due to delayed sowing respectively forms the basis for identifying the rice areas. In addition the potential of optical data of a later date has been utilized in the form of various indices from bands including MIR to distinctly separate the late sown areas and also the puddled areas from other areas. This study emphasizes the synergistic use of SAR and optical data for delineating the rabi rice areas which is of immense use in giving an early forecast.  相似文献

This paper provides an approach for rapid and accurate estimation of built-up areas on a per pixel-basis using a integration of two coarse spatial resolution remote sensing data namely DMSP-OLS and MODIS NDVI. The DMSP-OLS data due to its free availability, high temporal resolution and wide swath was used for regional level mapping of built-up areas. However, due to its low radiometric resolution, the built-up areas cannot be estimated accurately from the DMSP-OLS data. In present study, the DMSP-OLS data was combined with MODIS NDVI data to develop an Human Settlement Index (HSI) image, which estimated the fraction of built-up area on a per pixel basis. The resultant HSI image conveys more information than both the individual datasets. These temporal HSI images were then used for monitoring urban growth in Indo-Gangetic plains during the 2001–2007 time period. Thus, the present research can be very useful for regional level monitoring of built-up areas from coarse resolution data within limited time and minimal cost.  相似文献

Numerous palaeochannels, oxbow lakes and elongated sediment fills in Eastern India, particularly along the lower Ajay River, provide a record of channel shifting during the Late Quaternary. Proper characterization of these features is useful for discussing the dynamic evolution of the river system in the Ajay-Damodar Interfluve region. Remote sensing data, archaeological evidence and sedimentology aid in reconstructing the geomorphic history of the lower Ajay River. Archaeological studies help in calculating the rate and direction of channel migration. The channel migration rate varies from 0.32 to 3.41 m/year in the study area. Bouguer gravity anomalies suggest that the rate of channel migration may be controlled by the density variations of the basement rocks. Furthermore, neotectonics activity played a significant role in the migration of Ajay River towards north-east direction.  相似文献
