We suggest a new method for asymptotic analysis of nonlinear dynamical systems based on group-the-oretic methods. On the basis of the Bogolyubov averaging method, we develop a new normalization procedure — asymptotic decomposition. We clarify the contribution of this procedure to the interpretation and development of the averaging method for systems in the standard form and systems with several fast variables. According to this method, the centralized system is regarded as a direct analog of the system averaged in Bogolyubov's sense. The operation of averaging is interpreted as the Bogolyubov projector, i.e., the operation of projection of an operator onto the algebra of centralizer.Published in Ukrainskii Matematicheskii Zhurnal, Vol. 46, No. 9, pp. 1171–1188, September, 1994.  相似文献

First, we consider linear systems with quasi-periodic coefficient matrix multiplied by a scalar factor vanishing at infinity. Next, we study the asymptotically autonomous Van-der-Pol oscillator.

We study the asymptotic stability and the global asymptotic stability of equilibria of autonomous systems of differential equations. We prove necessary and sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of an equilibrium in terms of invariant compact sets and positively invariant sets. To verify these conditions, we use some results of the localization method for invariant compact sets of autonomous systems. These results are related to finding sets that contain all invariant compact sets of the system (localizing sets) and to the behavior of trajectories of the system with respect to localizing sets. We consider an example of a system whose equilibrium belongs to the critical case.  相似文献

We develop the averaging method theory for parabolic problems with rapidly oscillating summands some of which are large, i.e., proportional to the square root of the frequency of oscillations. In this case the corresponding averaged problems do not coincide in general with those obtained by the traditional averaging, i.e., by formally averaging the summands of the initial problem (since the principal term of the asymptotic expansion of a solution to the latter problem is not in general a solution to the so-obtained problem). In this article we consider the question of time periodic solutions to the first boundary value problem for a semilinear parabolic equation of an arbitrary order 2k whose nonlinear terms, including the large, depend on the derivatives of the unknown up to the order k-1. We construct the averaged problem and the formal asymptotic expansion of a solution. When the large summands depend on the unknown rather than its derivatives we justify the averaging method and the complete asymptotic expansion of a solution.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 Levenshtam V. We consider complex hyperbolic spaces where and , line bundles , over them and representations of in smooth sections of (the representation is induced by a character of ). We define a Berezin form $, associated with , and give an explicit decomposition of this form into invariant Hermitian (sesqui-linear) forms for irreducible representations of the group for all and . It is the main result of the paper. Besides it, we give the Plancherel formula for . As it turns out, this formula is, en essence, one of the particular cases of the Plancherel formula for the quasiregular representation for rank one semisimple symmetric spaces, see [20], it can be obtained from the quasiregular Plancherel formula for hyperbolic spaces (complex, quaternion, octonion) by analytic continuation in the dimension of the root subspaces. The decomposition of the Berezin form allows us to define and study the Berezin transform, - in particular, to find out an explicit expression of this transform in terms of the Laplacian. Using that, we establish the correspondence principle (an asymptotic expansion as ). At last, considering , we observe an interpolation in the spirit of Neretin between Plancherel formulae for and for the similar representation for a compact form of the space . In this paper, we consider quantum multidimensional problems solvable by using the second quantization method. A multidimensional generalization of the Bogolyubov factorization formula, which is an important particular case of the Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff formula, is established. The inner product of multidimensional squeezed states is calculated explicitly; this relationship justifies a general construction of orthonormal systems generated by linear combinations of squeezed states. A correctly defined path integral representation is derived for solutions of the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger equation describing the dynamics of a charged particle in the superposition of orthogonal constant (E,H)-fields and a periodic electric field. We show that the evolution of squeezed states runs over compact one-dimensional matrix-valued orbits of squeezed components of the solution, and the evolution of coherent shifts is a random Markov jump process which depends on the periodic component of the potential.  相似文献

Frobenius expansions are representations of integers to an algebraic base which are sometimes useful for efficient (hyper)elliptic curve cryptography. The normal form of a Frobenius expansion is the polynomial with integer coefficients obtained by reducing a Frobenius expansion modulo the characteristic polynomial of Frobenius. We consider the distribution of the coefficients of reductions of Frobenius expansions and non-adjacent forms of Frobenius expansions (NAFs) to normal form. We give asymptotic bounds on the coefficients which improve on naive bounds, for both genus one and genus two. We also discuss the non-uniformity of the distribution of the coefficients (assuming a uniform distribution for Frobenius expansions).  相似文献

We consider the local dynamics of the classical Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation and its generalizations and study the problem of the existence and asymptotic behavior of periodic solutions and tori. The most interesting results are obtained in the so-called infinite-dimensional critical cases. Considering these cases, we construct special nonlinear partial differential equations that play the role of normal forms and whose nonlocal dynamics thus determine the behavior of solutions of the original boundary value problem.  相似文献

We consider the BCS Hamiltonian with sources, as proposed by Bogolyubov and Bogolyubov, Jr. We prove that the eigenvectors and eigenvalues of the BCS Hamiltonian with sources can be exactly determined in the thermodynamic limit. Earlier, Bogolyubov proved that the energies per volume of the BCS Hamiltonian with sources and the approximating Hamiltonian coincide in the thermodynamic limit. We consider the inverse problem of identifying locations and certain properties of the shapes of small elastic inclusions in a homogeneous background medium from dynamic boundary measurements for a finite interval in time. We consider expansions of smooth, nonperiodic functions defined on compact intervals in eigenfunctions of polyharmonic operators equipped with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. Having determined asymptotic expressions for both the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of these operators, we demonstrate how these results can be used in the efficient computation of expansions. Next, we consider the convergence. We establish the key advantage of such expansions over classical Fourier series–namely, both faster and higher-order convergence–and provide a full asymptotic expansion for the error incurred by the truncated expansion. Summary. Stochastic Automata Networks (SANs) are widely used in modeling communication systems, manufacturing systems and computer systems. The SAN approach gives a more compact and efficient representation of the network when compared to the stochastic Petri nets approach. To find the steady state distribution of SANs, it requires solutions of linear systems involving the generator matrices of the SANs. Very often, direct methods such as the LU decomposition are inefficient because of the huge size of the generator matrices. An efficient algorithm should make use of the structure of the matrices. Iterative methods such as the conjugate gradient methods are possible choices. However, their convergence rates are slow in general and preconditioning is required. We note that the MILU and MINV based preconditioners are not appropriate because of their expensive construction cost. In this paper, we consider preconditioners obtained by circulant approximations of SANs. They have low construction cost and can be inverted efficiently. We prove that if only one of the automata is large in size compared to the others, then the preconditioned system of the normal equations will converge very fast. Numerical results for three different SANs solved by CGS are given to illustrate the fast convergence of our method. We consider a system of six nonlinear differential equations obtained by averaging fast forced oscillations. The main result consist in the construction of the asymptotics at infinity for the general solution with bounded amplitudes.
