Prof. Ding Ma was born in April 1957 in Kunming, China. He graduated from Tongji Medical College and gained M.D. degree in 1986 and Ph.D. degree in 1990. In 1992 Dr. Ding Ma went to Southwestern Medical Center of Texas University at Dallas to receive his postdoctoral training. He worked on the filed of tumor metastasis and cancer immunology. Dr. Ma distinguished himself in several areas and became an integral and vital member of his research team.[第一段]

Education and training experience After gaining his medical degree from Medical school of Sun Yat-Sen University （SYSU） and board certification as a physician of medical oncology, prof. Li Zhang continued with his post-graduate training at Cancer Centre of Sun Yat-Sen University （CCSYSU）. After completing a master＇s degree of clinical oncology, he subsequently works at CCSYSU as attending doctor, associated professor and now as professor of Medical Oncology Department, Vice chairmen of Medical Oncology Department and Deputy Director of National Clinical Study （GCP） centre for anti-cancer drugs at Cancer Centre of Sun Yat- Sen University.

W.W. Hopker was bom in July 1942 in Frankfurt Main, Germany. He studied medicine and philosophy in Hamburg and Heidelberg. In Munster/Westphalia he was appointed to a professorship at the Institute of Pathology in Heidelberg; Since 1987 he has been the Head of the Institute of Pathology at Barmbek General Hospital, Hamburg.

After graduation he received a one-year training in medicine at the Marien hospital in Stuttgart/Germany. He then joined the research group of Prof. E. H. Fischer at the Department of Biochemistry, Universityof Washington, Seattle, USA from 1971-1974 as a postdoctoral fellow supported by the Deutsche Forschungsge-meinschaft (DFG).
