Light hadron spectroscopy is a powerful tool in hadronic physics.Several recent BES results on hadron spectroscopy are reported in this proceeding, including the confirmation of the enhancement in pp invariant mass in radiative J/ψ decays, the observation of a charged κ± decaying to K ±π 0 and the measurement of exclusive decays of the χ c0 and χ c2 to π 0 π 0 and ηη.  相似文献

Using ~14×106ψ(2S) and ~58×106J/ψ data collected at BESⅡ/BEPC,the branching fraction of ψ(2S) →Ω+Ωˉ+ is measured with about 5σ statistical significance. The Λ electric dipole and Λ decay parameter are studied using the decay J/ψ→ΛΛ→ ppˉπ+π-.Using(106±3)×106 ψ(2S) decays collected at BESⅢ/BEPCⅡ,we have obtained some interesting physics results. The branching fractions of χcJ →π0π0,ηη are measured with precision improved. The mass and width of hc(11P1) state, together with the branching fractions of Br(ψ(2S) →π0hc) and Br(hc →γηc) are the first measurements.Surprisingly, the decays of χc1 →φφ,ωω,and ωφ are firstly observed in BESⅢ data.  相似文献

We present results of a study of the decay J/ψ → ωηπ+ π- using a sample of (225.2 ± 2.8) × 10(6) J/ψ events collected by the BESIII detector, and report the observation of a new process J/ψ → ωX(1870) with a statistical significance of 7.2σ, in which X(1870) decays to a(0)(±)(980)π±. Fitting to ηπ+ π- mass spectrum yields a mass M = 1877.3 ± 6.3(stat)(-7.4)(+3.4)(syst) MeV/c(2), a width Γ = 57 ± 12(stat)(-4)(+19)(syst) MeV/c(2), and a product branching fraction B(J/ψ → ωX) × B(X→a(0)(±)(980)π±) × B(a(0) (±)(980) → ηπ±) = [1.50 ± 0.26(stat)(-0.36)(+0.72) (syst)] × 10(-4). Signals for J/ψ → ωf(1)(1285) and J/ψ → ω η(1405) are also clearly observed and measured.  相似文献

Evidence of ψ(3770) decays to a non-DD final state is observed. A total of 6.8±3.0 ψ(3770)→J/ψ→π+π events are obtained from a data sample of 8.0±0.5 pb-1 taken at center-of-mass energies around 3.773GeV using the BES-Ⅱ detector at the BEPC. The branching fraction is determined to be BF(ψ(3770)→J/ψ→π+π)=(0.59±0.26±0.16)%, corresponding to the partial width of Γ(ψ(3770)→J/ψπ+π)=(139±61±41)keV.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the reasons for our work towards establishing a new collaboration between Jefferson Lab (JLab) and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) in Beijing. We seek to combine experimentalists and theorists into a dedicated group focused on better understanding the current and future data from JLab and from the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC). Recent JLab results on the extraction of single- and double-polarization observables in both the 1π- and 2π-channel show their high sensitivity to small production amplitudes and therefore their importance for the extraction of resonance parameters. The Beijing Electron Spectrometer (BES) at the BEPC has collected high statistics data on J/ψ production. Its decay into baryon-antibaryon channels offers a unique and complementary way of probing nucleon resonances. The CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer, CLAS, has access to N~* form factors at high Q~2, which is advantageous for the study of dynamical properties of nucleon resonances, while the low-background BES results will be able to provide guidance for the search for less-dominant excited states at JLab. Moreover, with the recently approved experimental proposal Nucleon Resonance Studies with CLAS12 and the high-quality data streaming from BES-Ⅲ and CLAS, the time has come for forging a new Trans-Pacific collaboration of theorists and experimentalists on NSTAR physics.  相似文献

We report the results of an experimental study of the exclusive hadronic decays for D0→K0 sπ+π - and K 0 sK +K - and their resonant structures using BES-Ⅰ detector at the BEPC Collider. Using the data sample of 22.3 pb -1 collected at the center-of-mass energy s=4.03 GeV, we measured the branching fraction for D 0→K 0π +π - to be (5.32±0.53±0.40)%, the branching fractions for the decays D 0→ K *-π +, D 0→K 0ρ 0 and D 0→K 0(π +π -) non-resonant to be (6.05±0.32±0.49)%, (1.17±0.17±0.13)% and (1.35±0.22±0.17)%, respectively. We measured the branching fractions Br(D 0→f) to be (1.04±0.24± 0.16)% for f=K 0K +K -, (1.12±0.34±0.15)% for f=K0, and (0.27±0.13±0.03)% for f=K 0(K+K-)non-.  相似文献

Trigger efficiencies at BESⅢ were determined for both the J/ψ and ψ' data taking of 2009. Both dedicated runs and physics datasets are used; efficiencies are presented for Bhabha-scattering events, generic hadronic decay events involving charged tracks, dimuon events and ψ'→π+π-J/ψ, J/ψ→ 1+1- events. The efficiencies are found to lie well above 99% for all relevant physics cases, thus fulfilling the BESⅢ design specifications.  相似文献

It is an ideal place to search for exotic states through J/ψ hadronic decays. In this paper,we discuss the way to use the partial wave analysis (PWA) based on covariant helicity amplitude analysis to study the invariant mass spectrum of ηπ and to find the evidence of the existence of exotic states in this channel. The formula for PWA is also given. It is the theoretical foundation of experimental physics analysis on exotic states searching in J/ψ hadronic decays. The theoretical formula can also be used in physics analysis of J/ψ decays into ωππ,φππ,ωKK,φKK and K^* (892)Kπ.  相似文献

We present the physics program of the open charm and heavy c(c-)states above the D(D-)production energy threshold, which will be studied with the BES-Ⅲ detector at the BEPC-Ⅱ collider in the coming years.Based on some full Monte Carlo simulations with the BES-Ⅲ detector,we predict the accuracy levels on measuring some physical quantities related to D0,D+and D+s decays as well as some non-charmed decays of the heavy c(c-)states.  相似文献

The decays J/ψ → γ π+ π- π0 and J/ψ → γ π0 π0 π0 are analyzed using a sample of 225×10(6) J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector. The decay of η(1405) → f(0)(980)π0 with a large isospin violation is observed for the first time. The width of the f(0)(980) observed in the dipion mass spectra is anomalously narrower than the world average. Decay rates for three-pion decays of the η' are also measured precisely.  相似文献

The production of Jψ mesons in Z0 decays is studied using 3.6 million hadronic events recorded by the OPAL detector at LEP. The inclusive Z0 to Jψ and b-quark to Jψ branching ratios are measured from the total yield of Jψ mesons, identified from their decays into lepton pairs. The Jψ momentum distribution is used to study the fragmentation of b-quarks. The production rate of ψ′ mesons, identified from their decays into a Jψ and a π+π? pair, is measured as well. The following results are obtained: ${Br(Z^{0}?ghtarrow {? J}/?i X)=(3.9pm 0.2pm 0.3)cdot 10^{-3} {? and} ?op Br(Z^0?ghtarrow ?i ^?ime X)=(1.6pm 0.3pm 0.2)cdot 10^{-3}, }$ where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. Finally the Jψ sample is used to reconstruct exclusive b-hadron decays and calculate the corresponding b-hadron branching ratios and masses.  相似文献

Based on 58 million J/ψ data collected with the BES Ⅱ detector at the BEPC, Partial Wave Analysis(PWA) is performed on J/ψ→pp(-)π~0. The new excited baryon N(2065) is confirmed. Clear signals for other N~* states are observed and the corresponding masses, widths and spin-parity are also measured. Processes such as J/ψ→pp(-)η,pp(-)η' are also studied and the branching ratios are measured.  相似文献

In this proceeding,we propose to directly measure the a00(980)-f0(980)mixing in J/ψ→φ f0(980)φa00(980)and χc1 →π0a00(980)→π0f0(980)with the upgraded Beijing Electron Positron Collider(BEPCII)with BESⅢ detector. We show that a narrow peak of about 8 MeV will be produced by the a00(980)-f0(980)mixing,and the predominant feature makes it standing out from the background contributions. The predicted branching ratios for these two reactions are both expected to be about O(10-6),which is unambiguously accessible with109 J/ψ and 3 × 108 χc1 at BESⅢ.  相似文献

The cross sections for e+e-→π+π-J/ψ, π+π-ψ(2S), K+K-J/ψ, DD, D0D-π++c.c., D*D+c.c., and D*D-* are measured using data sample collected on or near the T(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB. A peak near 4.25 GeV/c2, corresponding to the so called Y(4260), is observed in π+π-J/ψ final state. In addition, there is another cluster of events at around 4.05 GeV/c2. Two resonant structures are observed in the π+π-J/ψ(2S) invariant mass distribution, one at 4361±9±9 MeV/c2 with a width of 74±15±10 MeV/c2, and another at 4664±11±5 MeV/c2 with a width of 48±15±3 MeV/c2. The rich structures observed in all these final states indicate that our understanding of the vector charmonium states above the open charm threshold is still poor, let alone the other possible dynamics such as charmonium hybrids or final state re-scattering and so on.  相似文献

The decay mode of J/ψ→π03(π+π) was studied very little before. There are no informations except branching ratios for this channel in PDG book which based on less than 0.2×106J/ψ events of MARKⅠ. Now, BESⅠ has a data sample of 7.8×106J/ψ events, we can make more accurate results than MARKⅠ. Total of 3290±43 J/ψ→π03(π+π) events including 1275±86 J/ψ→ω2+π) events are selected. J/ψ→π03(π+π) and J/ψ→ω2+π) events have been generated with MC simulition for calculating events selection efficiency. BESⅠ result is: Br(J/ψ→π03(π+π))=(2.52±0.06±0.43)% and Br(J/ψ→π03(π+π))=(1.31±0.09±0.21)%. Meanwhile, we studied the invariant mass of 4π and ωππ to find interesting signals. It seems that there is a peak at about 1.74GeV in the invarianat mass spectrum of 4π, and a enhancement was also found at about 1.9GeV in the invariant mass spectrum of ωππ. It is not clear whether they are from resonances or background. Therefore, more work in detail is still going on.  相似文献

Abundant ψ' events have been collected at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider-Ⅱ (BEPCⅡ) that could undoubtedly provide us with a great opportunity to study the more attractive charmonium decays. As has been noticed before, in the process of J/ψ' decaying to the baryonic final states, pK-Λ, the evident Λ* and N* bands have been observed. Similarly, by using the product of χcJ from ψ' radiative decay, we may confirm this or find some extra new resonances. χc0's data samples will be more than χc1,2, taking into account the larger branching ratio of ψ' →γχc0. Here, we provide explicit partial wave analysis formulae for the very interesting channel ψ' →γχc0 →γpK-Λ.  相似文献

We report a measurement of the CP-violation parameter sin2φ1 at the Υ(5S) resonance using a new tagging method, called "B-π tagging." In Υ(5S) decays containing a neutral B meson, a charged B, and a charged pion, the neutral B is reconstructed in the J/ψK(S)(0) CP-eigenstate decay channel. The initial flavor of the neutral B meson at the moment of the Υ(5S) decay is opposite to that of the charged B and may thus be inferred from the charge of the pion without reconstructing the charged B. From the asymmetry between B-π(+) and B-π(-) tagged J/ψK(S)(0) yields, we determine sin2φ1=0.57±0.58(stat)±0.06(syst). The results are based on 121 fb(-1) of data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider.  相似文献

We report measurements of direct CP-violating asymmetries in charmless decays of neutral bottom hadrons to pairs of charged hadrons with the upgraded Collider Detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. Using a data sample corresponding to 1 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, we obtain the first measurements of direct CP violation in bottom strange mesons, A(CP)(B(s)(0)→K(-)π(+))=+0.39±0.15(stat)±0.08(syst), and bottom baryons, A(CP)(Λ(b)(0)→pπ(-))=+0.03±0.17(stat)±0.05(syst) and A(CP)(Λ(b)(0)→pK(-))=+0.37±0.17(stat)±0.03(syst). In addition, we measure CP violation in B(0)→K(+)π(-) decays with 3.5σ significance, A(CP)(B(0)→K(+)π(-))=-0.086±0.023(stat)±0.009(syst), in agreement with the current world average. Measurements of branching fractions of B(s)(0)→K(+)K(-) and B(0)→π(+)π(-) decays are also updated.  相似文献

We search for CP violation in Cabibbo-suppressed charged D meson decays by measuring the difference between the CP-violating asymmetries for the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D(±)→K(+)K(-)π(±) and the Cabibbo-favored decays D(s)(±)→K(+)K(-)π(±) in the K(+)K(-) mass region of the ? resonance. Using 955 fb(-1) of data collected with the Belle detector, we obtain A(CP)(D+→?π+)=(+0.51±0.28±0.05)%. The measurement improves the sensitivity of previous searches by more than a factor of 5. We find no evidence for direct CP violation.  相似文献

Recent results on radiative K± decays from the NA48/2 experiment are reported. From the full NA48/2 data set, about a million K±→π±π0γ decays were reconstructed.Based on this sample, the first measurement of the interference between direct photon emission and inner bremsstrahlung in K±→π±π0γ decays was performed.Stringent limits on CP violation in this decay were also set.In addition,a precise measurement of the branching fraction of K±→π±γγ is presented. This measurement was based on a data sample of more than 1000 event candidates. Also the related decay K±→π±e+e-γ has first been observed. Results of the measurement of the decay rate and the decay parameter c are summarized.  相似文献
