提出了一种产生可调谐双波长低抖动超短光脉冲的新方法。采用外光注入法来降低增益开关F-P激光脉冲的时间抖动,实现了脉冲光谱的双波长可调谐输出。实验中利用两个多量子阱DFB激光器作为外部种子光源,通过温度控制和偏振态调节使外部种子光有效地耦合到增益开关F-P激光器中,输出的光脉冲时间抖动(均方根)从2.57ps降低至1.06ps,双波长的边模抑制比可达25dB。通过改变DFB激光器和F-P激光器的工作温度,可实现波长从1540nm到1560nm的可调谐输出。  相似文献

报道了一种结构简单的波长可调谐掺铒光纤激光器。该光纤激光器由增益平坦型掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)、偏振相关光隔离器、光纤偏振控制器及输出耦合器组成。利用光纤偏振控制器和偏振相关光隔离器作为波长调谐器件,实现了光纤激光器的波长可调谐输出及双波长输出。利用琼斯矩阵理论分析了光纤激光器腔内不同波长的损耗与偏振控制器状态的关系,指出通过调节光纤偏振控制器,光纤激光器可以实现波长可调谐输出,同时阐述了光纤激光器双波长输出的机制。实验上获得了中心波长在1542~1564nm连续可调,平均功率大于2.6mW,边模抑制比大于35dB的连续激光输出。同时获得了波长为1549nm和1564nm的双波长连续激光输出。  相似文献

本文提出了一种利用两个F -P半导体激光器双向注入锁定产生波长可调谐光脉冲的实验系统。该实验系统只需调节可调谐滤波器就可以方便地选择不同波长的单纵模光脉冲,在2 5nm的波长调谐范围内边模抑制比(SMSR)为2 6dB ,其中18nm的波长范围内高于3 1dB。  相似文献

为了获得两束波长不同的可调谐CO2激光脉冲,采用了双光栅与输出镜构成双谐振腔的结构没计。实验中,对影响激光器脉冲输出能量和调谐范围的参量作了具体分析。结果表明,两个谐振腔可以独立振荡输出不同波长的两束激光,二者之间不存在竞争影响,并且均可在大范围内调谐输出;通过对两个光栅做小幅度失谐调整,可以实现两束激光脉冲同步输出。  相似文献

为给密集波分复用(DWDM)光纤通信及光纤传感系统提供理想光源,设计了一种双波长环形腔掺铒光纤激光器。该激光器采用单支光纤光栅(FBG)和2个3dB耦合器构成可调谐光滤波器,结合多模光纤的偏振烧孔效应,通过改变系统的偏振态来获得波长可调谐的双波长激光输出。实验结果表明:改变系统的偏振态时,可分别获得单波长和双波长激光输出,双波长光纤激光器的最大波长差为4.692nm。引入多模光纤后,激光跳模现象得到明显抑制。  相似文献

提出一种基于莫尔光纤光栅的F-P(法布里-珀罗)半导体激光器双波长自激注入锁定生成拍频信号以获得所需毫米波的实验方案。实验结果表明,在11.7nm波长调谐范围内可获得边模抑制比约为30dB的双波长输出,该双波长输出可产生高达168GHz的拍频信号。该高频毫米波信号生成方案的系统结构简单,成本低廉。  相似文献

本文提出了使用两个F-P半导体激光器互注入锁定来产生单/双波长光脉冲的方法.其中一个FP做增益开关调制,另一个给定直流偏置.通过简单调节一个可调光滤波器,可以输出所需波长,且重复频率保持不变.对于单波长输出,在19nm范围内其边模抑制比超过30dB;对于双波长输出,在12.1nm范围内其边模抑制比超过25dB.该系统具有简单,成本低的优点.  相似文献

为实现单光束、双波长、双脉冲Cr:LiSAF调Q激光输出,实验中创造性地采用高压方波驱动电光Q开关实现了双波长、双脉冲的Cr:LiSAF可调谐激光输出。获得了波长分别为890nm与900nm,脉冲能量分别为31mj与38mj,脉冲宽度分别为30ns和27ns,脉冲间隔82μs的单光束、双波长、双脉冲Cr:LiSAF调Q激光输出,双脉冲的不同轴度不大于0.15mrad。为差分吸收激光雷达系统所需单光束、双波长、双脉冲激光器的进一步研制奠定了良好的理论与实验基础。  相似文献

The design and operation of dual-wavelength InGaAs-GaAs asymmetric cladding ridge waveguide distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) lasers are reported. DBR lasers with mode pair separations of 4.1, 8.4, and 16.9 nm exhibit stable, simultaneous, dual-wavelength operation in current ranges of 40-52 mA, 32-42 mA, and 28-35 mA, respectively. Within the stated current ranges, all lasing modes exhibit at least 20-dB sidemode suppression, and approximately 30-dB sidemode suppression under optimum operating conditions  相似文献

A mutual pulse injection-seeding scheme is developed to produce wavelength-tunable optical short pulses by the use of two Fabry-Perot laser diodes, of which one is gain-switched and the other is dc biased. Wavelength tuning of the optical pulses is achieved by simply adjusting a tunable optical filter while maintaining a constant repetition frequency of 3.0 GHz. The sidemode suppression ratio obtained is more than 30 dB over the wavelength-tuning range of 19 nm. The system is simple and robust.  相似文献

The sidemode suppression ratio of self-seeded, gain-switched optical pulses is shown to be a vital parameter in determining the usefulness of these pulses in wavelength-division multiplexed communications systems. Experiments carried out on a two-channel wavelength multiplexed setup using tunable self-seeded gain-switched pulse sources at 10 GHz, have demonstrated the cross-channel interference effects that may be encountered if the sidemode suppression ratio of one of the sources becomes degraded. The sidemode suppression ratio of self-seeded, gainswitched optical pulses is shown to be a vital parameter in determining the usefulness of these pulses in wavelength-division multiplexed communications systems. A gain-switched Fabry-Perot laser diode at 1.3 μm was self-seeded at different electrical bias and optical feedback rates. With a strong feedback, a comparatively large tuning range and a high sidemode suppression ratio were obtained but multimode emission might occur around the center of the range. Similar phenomenon was observed at a weaker feedback when the electrical bias was sufficiently large. The degradation in tunability was attributed to a broadening of the optical pulses, resulting in temporal overlapping of different longitudinal modes. Our optimized feedback of 2.5% and 3.1 mA bias provided a tuning range of 23.5 nm with a sidemode suppression ratio >10 dB  相似文献

A novel scheme for generating multiwavelength short pulses using fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) was demonstrated. In this scheme the external cavity length for all wavelengths selected by the gratings is intrinsically identical and the FBGs can be cascaded into the external cavity. Simultaneous generation of 1-GHz dual-wavelength short pulses with a wavelength separation of 1.6 or 18 nm was demonstrated. A sidemode suppression ratio (SMSR) better than 30 or 25 dB was achieved at both wavelengths in the former and latter cases respectively. Three-wavelength 1-GHz ps pulses with a SMSR better than 25 dB at all three wavelengths were also successfully generated  相似文献

A tunable dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber ring laser using a self-seeded Fabry-Perot laser diode (FP-LD) is proposed and demonstrated. By adding an FP-LD incorporated with a tunable bandpass filter within the ring cavity, the fiber laser can lase two wavelengths simultaneously because of the self-seeded mechanism. This dual-wavelength output exhibits a good performance having the optical side-mode suppression ratio over 31 dB. The wavelength-tuning range of this tunable dual-wavelength fiber laser can be up to 9 nm.  相似文献
