Both resting tachycardia and irregular ventricular rhythm may contribute to impaired cardiac performance in atrial fibrillation (AF). This study assesses the relation between resting heart rate and beat-to-beat changes in left ventricular (LV) ejection and filling in patients with normal and impaired LV systolic function. Beat-to-beat variation in LV outflow and inflow velocity-time integral was measured using pulsed Doppler ultrasound in 39 patients with chronic AF and normal (n=22) or impaired (n=17) LV systolic function. Aortic velocity-time integral variability increased with mean heart rate (p=0.003) even though RR interval variability decreased (p <0.001). Aortic velocity-time integral was more sensitive to the duration of both the preceding (p <0.001) and prepreceding (p <0.001) RR intervals at higher heart rates. These relations were similar for patients with normal and impaired LV systolic function. The sensitivity of the filling velocity-time integral to RR interval variability also increased with heart rate (p <0.001). However, at higher heart rates the filling velocity-time integral (p=0.009) and filling time (p=0.005) were less sensitive to change in RR intervals in patients with impaired LV function. We conclude that beat-to-beat stroke volume variability in AF increases with heart rate. Stroke volume variability was not influenced by LV systolic function. 相似文献

It has been shown that fluctuation of human heartbeat intervals [heart rate variability (HRV)] reflects variations in cardiac autonomic nervous system activity. The present study was designed to investigate whether the acute exposure to moderate levels of simulated altitude and the resultant hypoxia could modify HRV during exercise. Seven healthy men completed one resting measurement in the upright sitting position and two submaximal steady-state cycle ergometer exercises at intensities equivalent to 25 and 50% of their estimated maximal work rate. Experiments were conducted in random order at altitude equivalents of 500, 1,500, 2,500, and 3,500 m within 2 h of exposure to that altitude. Beat-to-beat HRV was measured continuously during the tests. HRV data were analyzed by "coarse-graining spectral analysis" (Y. Yamamoto and R.L. Hughson, Physica 68D: 250-264, 1993) to break down their total power (PT) into harmonic and nonharmonic (fractal) components. The harmonic component was further divided into low (0.0- to 0.15-Hz; PL)- and high (> 0.15-Hz; PH)-frequency components, and the indicators of relative sympathetic (SNS) and parasympathetic (PNS) nervous system activities were calculated by PL/PH and PH/PT, respectively. The fractal component was used to calculate the spectral exponent (beta) to evaluate the overall "irregularity" of HRV. The effects of exercise intensity (increase in heart rate, SNS indicator, and beta and decrease in PNS indicator) were significant (P < 0.05) at all altitude levels. The altitude effects (increase in heart rate and SNS indicator and decrease in PNS indicator) were found only during exercise at 3,500 m (P < 0.05). There was no significant effect of altitude on beta (P > 0.05). These data indicate that acute effects of altitude exposure on HRV were found 1) during exercise at moderate altitude (> 2,500 m) and 2) mainly for the harmonic components of HRV. 相似文献

Patients with essential hypertension often show alterations of the autonomic nervous system. We evaluated the sympathetic and parasympathetic drive to the heart in 12 mildly hypertensive patients and 9 healthy subjects by power spectral analysis of heart rate variability. All subjects underwent measurements of RR interval, low (LF) and high frequency (HF) components of heart rate variability, LF/HF ratio and blood pressure in the resting and sitting positions, both before and after oral clonidine (300 microg), a central sympatholytic agent. In the supine position before clonidine, hypertensive patients had higher blood pressure and lower HF values than healthy subjects. Clonidine induced increases in RR interval and HF in both groups, while LF and LF/HF ratio decreased in healthy subjects, but not in hypertensive patients. On assuming the sitting position, both groups showed reductions in RR and HF and increments in LF and LF/HF. In healthy subjects, the response to the postural challenge was unaffected by clonidine. In contrast, hypertensive patients showed no changes in LF and LF/HF ratio, and a significantly lower decrease in HF. These differences were probably due to the existence of two subsets of patients, one exhibiting similar responses to clonidine as healthy subjects, and the other showing no appreciable response to the drug. These results suggest that hypertensive patients have an altered sympatho-vagal balance to the heart, which can be unmasked by clonidine. This phenomenon should be taken into account to achieve a better control of the overall cardiovascular risk of hypertensive patients. 相似文献

Echocardiography has a role in the management of acute complications of penetrating cardiac trauma. We report the case of a 30-year-old man who sustained a stab wound to the chest. In this case a traumatic perforation of the ventricular septum and the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve caused by a knife occurred without pericardial effusion. The diagnosis was made by transthoracic echocardiography. The ability of transesophageal echocardiography to delineate the intracardiac injuries more precisely helped to guide the surgical procedure. 相似文献

The objectives of the present study were to investigate autonomic nervous system influence on heart rate during physical exercise and to examine the relationship between the fractal component in heart rate variability (HRV) and the system's response. Ten subjects performed incremental exercise on a cycle ergometer, consisting of a 5-min warm-up period followed by a ramp protocol, with work rate increasing at a rate of 2.0 W/min until exhaustion. During exercise, alveolar gas exchange, plasma norepinephrine (NE) and epinephrine (E) responses, and beat-to-beat HRV were monitored. HRV data were analyzed by "coarse-graining spectral analysis" (Y. Yamamoto and R. L. Hughson. J. Appl. Physiol. 71: 1143-1150, 1991) to break down their total power (Pt) into harmonic and nonharmonic (fractal) components. The harmonic component was further divided into low-frequency (0.0-0.15 Hz) and high-frequency (0.15-0.8 Hz) components, from which low-frequency and high-frequency power (Pl and Ph, respectively) were calculated. Parasympathetic (PNS) and sympathetic (SNS) nervous system activity indicators were evaluated by Ph/Pt and Pl/Ph, respectively. From the fractal component, the fractal dimension (DF) and the spectral exponent (beta) were calculated. The PNS indicator decreased significantly (P < 0.05) when exercise intensity exceeded 50% of peak oxygen uptake (VO2 peak). Conversely, the SNS indicator initially increased at 50-60% VO2peak (P < 0.05) and further increased significantly (P < 0.05) at > 60% VO2peak when there were also more pronounced increases in NE and E.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS) 相似文献

Some evidence suggests that patients with panic disorder have a decreased cardiac vagal and a relatively higher sympathetic activity. In this study, spectral analysis of the time series of heart rate before and after isoproterenol infusions was used to study heart rate variability in six panic disorder patients and 11 normal control subjects. These preliminary data reveal a significant increase of sympathovagal ratios only in the patient group after isoproterenol administration. The findings suggest a relative increase in cardiac sympathetic and a relative decrease in cardiac vagal function in patients with panic disorder during isoproterenol infusions. 相似文献

The signal-average electrocardiogram (SAECG) has been a screening method for identifying patients at risk for ventricular tachycardia (VT) in the setting of coronary artery disease (CAD). Its significance in patients with VT unrelated to CAD or left ventricular dysfunction is undetermined. In order to define the value of SAECG in this patient population further, we compared the time domain SAECG at 25, 40, and 80 Hz filters in 35 patients with clinically symptomatic VT in the absence of structural heart disease was compared with 10 normal controls and 10 patients with CAD and inducible VT. SAECG data in patients without structural heart disease were intermediate between normal controls and patients with CAD. No single or combined SAECG criterion helped to differentiate between patients with inducible and noninducible VT. There was no concordance to other arrhythmia testing. It was concluded that signal-averaged electrocardiography may have little screening value in VT unrelated to CAD or left ventricular dysfunction. 相似文献

1. Two groups of age- and sex-matched subjects, eight healthy controls and 10 patients, suffering from recurrent vasodepressor syncope, participated in a study to examine autonomic function and sequential changes in power distribution of heart rate (HR) variability during graded head-up tilt. 2. The following autonomic function tests were performed: valsalva ratio, HR responses to deep breathing and posture, BP responses to sustained handgrip and postural change. Each subject was tilted at 15 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees, 60 degrees and 80 degrees head-up, each for 15 min, or until symptoms occurred. The eight control subjects completed the tilt study without any symptoms, while all 10 patients developed presyncope and/or syncope at various tilt angles. 3. Resting blood pressure (BP) was lower in the patient group, while resting HR, autonomic function tests and resting HR variability components were similar in the two groups. 4. The control group showed a progressive increase in low frequency power component (LF) from supine to end tilt (delta LF 20.06 +/- 14.50%) and a progressive fall in high frequency (HF) component (delta HF - 24.62 +/- 10.64%). In contrast, in the patient group, LF fell during tilt in the presyncope period (delta LF - 10.57 +/- 12.93%, P < 0.01 vs control group). HF and HF:LF ratio responses did not differ significantly in the two groups. 5. At end tilt, the increase in plasma noradrenaline was significantly greater in the control group than in the patient group (delta NA 0.83 +/- 0.27 vs 0.28 +/- 0.14 pmol/mL, P < 0.01).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS) 相似文献

Thirty-seven patients with symptomatic ventricular tachyarrhythmia and no apparent structural heart disease were evaluated with multiple cardiovascular tests to establish the relationship between the results of programmed electric stimulation and other clinical and arrhythmia variables. Of 37 patients, 12 (32%) had inducible sustained ventricular tachycardia. Factors associated with the results of programmed electric stimulation included a history of ventricular tachycardia > or = 30 seconds requiring intervention for termination and global right heart abnormality documented by echocardiography. During treatment for a mean follow-up of 50 months, 29 patients did well, 6 patients had recurrences of major arrhythmia symptoms, 1 was lost to follow-up and 1 had a noncardiac death. Those patients with an adverse outcome were more likely to have inducible ventricular tachycardia. Thus certain clinical and echocardiographic data are associated with the results of programmed electric stimulation, which in turn have important prognostic value in this group of patients. Sustained ventricular tachycardia is unlikely to be induced in patients with no evidence of structural heart disease and clinical nonsustained ventricular tachycardia. 相似文献

PURPOSE: The aim of the study was to investigate the heart rate turn point (HRTP) in the time course of the heart rate performance curve (HRPC) in patients after myocardial infarction, and the relationship between the HRTP, the left ventricular function, and the second lactate turn point (LTP2). METHODS: We studied the degree and the direction of the HRPC and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in 49 male patients 57 +/- 8 d after their first posterior wall infarction (MI). An incremental cycle ergometer test was performed and three phases of energy supply were defined (I: aerobic; II: aerobic-anaerobic transition; III: anaerobic) via blood lactate LA concentration. HRTP and LVEF-turn points (LVEFTP) were assessed by linear turn point analysis. The degree and direction of the deflection of HRPC were described as factor k (k > 0.1: downward deflection; -0.1 < k < 0.1: linear time curse; k < -0.1: upward deflection). The LVEF was determined by RNA. The difference between Pmax and LTP2 was calculated for LVEF (delta LVEF). RESULTS: An HRTP could be found in 44 and a LVEFTP in 47 cases. The HRTP occurred at 85 +/- 17 Watt (W), which correlated (r = 0.95; P < 0.001) with the LTP2 (84 +/- 17 W) and the LVEFTP (84 +/- 17 W, r = 0.93; P < 0.001). From LTP2 to Pmax a significant decrease in LVEF was found. There was a correlation between the percentage of HRmax at the HRTP and k (r = 0.70), as well as delta LVEF (r = 0.56). CONCLUSIONS: To prevent myocardial overloading, it seems to be useful to determine the HRTP, which indicate the workload where LVEF decreases. 相似文献

The effect of physical training on the circadian pattern of heart rate variability (recorded over 24 h in relation to both time and frequency) was assessed in 12 chronic heart failure patients randomized, in a cross-over design, to 8 weeks training or detraining, and compared with 12 age-matched normals. Training improved heart rate variability indices: all R-R interval 5 min standard deviations increased by 17.6%, the root mean square of the differences of successive R-R intervals by 34.9%, the percentage difference between adjacent normal R-R intervals > 50 ms by 112.5%, total power by 58.3%, high frequency by 128.5% and low frequency by 65.0%. Compared with controls, circadian variations in autonomic parameters were maintained in chronic heart failure. Training-induced changes were observed at different time intervals throughout the day: the highest values were at 0100 h-0700 h (detraining: low frequency 361 +/- 83 ms2, high frequency 126 +/- 47 ms2; training: low frequency 535 +/- 202 ms2, high frequency 227 +/- 115 ms2, P < 0.01) and the lowest at 1300 h-1900 h (detraining: low frequency 91 +/- 23 ms2, high frequency 39 +/- 14 ms2; training: low frequency 154 +/- 42 ms2, high frequency 133 +/- 67 ms2, P < 0.05). In chronic heart failure, training maintains and improves circadian variations in heart rate variability measures. 相似文献

This study was designed to determine whether plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) increases in response to exercise in patients with congestive heart failure and to show what kind of hemodynamic abnormalities induce increased secretion of BNP during exercise. Plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and BNP and hemodynamic parameters were measured during upright bicycle exercise tests in seven patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and nine with mitral stenosis. At rest, there were no intergroup differences in cardiac output or pulmonary capillary wedge pressure; however, the group with dilated cardiomyopathy had higher left ventricular end-diastolic pressures and lower left ventricular ejection fractions than did the group with mitral stenosis. Plasma ANP levels were comparable between the dilated cardiomyopathy group (170 +/- 77 [SE] pg/ml) and the mitral stenosis group (106 +/- 33 pg/ml) (p, not significant), whereas BNP was significantly higher in the dilated cardiomyopathy group (221 +/- 80 pg/ml) than in the other group (37 +/- 10 pg/ml) (p < 0.05). The plasma concentration of BNP but not of ANP significantly correlated with left ventricular end-diastolic pressure and volume. Exercise increased plasma ANP and BNP in the two groups. The dilated cardiomyopathy group had a larger increment in BNP (+157 +/- 79 pg/ml) than did the mitral stenosis group (+17 +/- 5 pg/ml) (p < 0.05), although the increase in pulmonary capillary wedge pressure was greater in the mitral stenosis group. Thus exercise increases plasma levels of BNP, and impaired left ventricular function may be a main factor in the greater increment in BNP during exercise in patients with congestive heart failure. 相似文献

The SET-2400W is a newly designed whole-body PET scanner with a large axial field of view (20 cm). Its physical performance was investigated and evaluated. The scanner consists of four rings of 112 BGO detector units (22.8 mm in-plane x 50 mm axial x 30 mm depth). Each detector unit has a 6 (in-plane) x 8 (axial) matrix of BGO crystals coupled to two dual photomultiplier tubes. They are arranged in 32 rings giving 63 two-dimensional image planes. Sensitivity for a 20-cm cylindrical phantom was 6.1 kcps/kBq/ml (224 kcps/microCi/ml) in the 2D clinical mode, and to 48.6 kcps/kBq/ml (1.8 Mcps/microCi/ml) in the 3D mode after scatter correction. In-plane spatial resolution was 3.9 mm FWHM at the center of the field-of-view, and 4.4 mm FWHM tangentially, and 5.4 mm FWHM radially at 100 mm from the center. Average axial resolution was 4.5 mm FWHM at the center and 5.8 mm FWHM at a radial position 100 mm from the center. Average scatter fraction was 8% for the 2D mode and 40% for the 3D mode. The maximum count rate was 230 kcps in the 2D mode and 350 kcps in the 3D mode. Clinical images demonstrate the utility of an enlarged axial field-of-view scanner in brain study and whole-body PET imaging. 相似文献

Heart rate variability (HRV) represents a noninvasive parameter for studying the autonomic control of the heart. Cardiac patients have a complex autonomic disturbance. The relation of HRV to this abnormality in children with congenital heart disease (CHD) has not yet been examined. The present study examined HRV indices from 24 h Holter recordings in 258 children with an operated or non-operated CHD, to determine their differences as an indicator of the severity of heart disease. The latter was defined clinically as New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional classes I to IV and haemodynamically by invasive parameters. Five time-domain measures (SDNN, SDNNi, SDANNi, rMSSD and pNN50) and three frequency-domain measures (LF, HF and balance LF/HF) were compared with normal ranges. HRV was reduced in children with CHD, except in patients of NYHA class I. The level of reduction depended on the NYHA functional class. None of the measures was significantly related to haemodynamic data. CONCLUSION: Heart rate variability is reduced in children with Congenital heart disease depending on the functional limitation but not on haemodynamic disturbances. Heart rate variability indices are sensitive markers of the clinical state. 相似文献

Bilharzial-related bladder carcinoma (BBC) is the most common malignant neoplasm in Egypt, also occurring with a high incidence in other regions of the Middle East and East Africa. The clinical and pathological features of BBC are different than those described for the conventional transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder, including the high incidence of squamous cell carcinoma reported in BBC and the fact that over 90% of BBC cases at presentation are advanced-stage tumors (P3 and P4). This study was conducted to better define the phenotypic alterations associated with BBC affecting the p53 cell cycle control pathway, including altered patterns of expression of downstream effector proteins such as mdm2 and p21/WAF1. A well-characterized cohort of 125 patients affected with bilharzial-related bladder tumors was studied. Tumors were classified as squamous carcinomas (n = 68), transitional cell carcinomas (n = 55), or adenocarcinomas (n = 2). The products encoded by TP53, mdm2, and p21/WAF1 genes were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. Furthermore, the patterns of expression of these molecules were correlated with the Ki67 proliferative index. In addition, the microanatomical distribution of programmed cell death was assessed in a subset of tumors, using the so-called terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling method. p53 nuclear overexpression was identified in 25 (20%) of 125 cases. Nuclear overexpression of mdm2 was detected in 74 (59.2%) of 125 cases. There was a statistically significant association between coexpression of both p53 and mdm2 and detection of lymph node metastases (P = 0.04). p21/WAF1 expression was detected in 87 (72%) of 121 evaluable cases. A high Ki67 proliferative index was observed in 99 (86%) of 115 evaluable cases. There was a statistically significant association between high Ki67 proliferative index and mdm2-positive phenotype (P = 0.005) and deep muscle invasion (P3b; P = 0.026) as well as lymph node metastases (P = 0.039). Apoptosis was observed in terminally differentiated tumor cells identified in the superficial layers of well-differentiated squamous carcinoma or exfoliating cells in transitional lesions. However, only rare apoptotic tumor cells were found in basal or suprabasal layers as well as in the invasive elements of the neoplasms studied. These results suggest that the frequency of p53 nuclear overexpression in BBC is lower than that reported for conventional transitional cell carcinoma. Nevertheless, tumors with p53 alterations have a greater propensity to progress. The prominent number of cases displaying an mdm2-positive phenotype suggests that this may be an early incident in BBC and should be regarded as a potential oncogenic phenomenon. This is supported by the significant correlation between high Ki67 proliferative index and mdm2 overexpression. The association of an aggressive clinical course with the coexpression of both p53 and mdm2 products might be viewed as a cooperative effect that develops in tumor progression. 相似文献

1. Experiments were carried out in 30 chronically catheterized foetal sheep (128-144 days; term 150 days) and in seven of these foetuses before, during and after acute hypoxaemia. The extent to which changes in sympathoadrenal activity and cardiac vagal activity affected the foetal cardiac response to hypoxaemia was measured. Three measurements were used: foetal heart rate (FHR), heart rate variability (HRV; measured as the coefficient of variation in pulse interval) and power spectral density (PSD; measured over the frequency ranges of 0.04-1.3 Hz). Cardiac vagal activity was blocked by atropine, beta-adrenoceptor activity was blocked by propranolol. 2. Under normoxaemic conditions, cardiac vagal blockade caused a rise in mean arterial pressure (MAP; P < 0.001), an increase in FHR (P < 0.001), a decrease in HRV (P < 0.001) and a decrease in PSD (P < 0.001). beta-adrenoceptor blockade caused a rise in MAP (P < 0.001), a fall in FHR (P < 0.01), a decrease in HRV (P < 0.001) but no change in PSD. 3. During mild hypoxaemia (PO2 = 12-14.5 mmHg) and moderate hypoxaemia (PO2 = 10-11.9 mmHg), foetal MAP (P < 0.001, P< 0.001), HRV (P < 0.01, P < 0.001) and PSD in the frequency range 0.04-0.45 Hz increased (P < 0.05-P < 0.001). Foetal heart rate decreased when foetuses became moderately hypoxaemic (P < 0.001). 4. After cardiac vagal blockade, hypoxaemia was associated with an increase in FHR compared with non-blocked hypoxaemic foetuses (P < 0.01, P < 0.001). The increase in HRV was abolished (P < 0.001, P < 0.001) as was the increase in PSD (P < 0.01-P < 0.001). 5. After beta-adrenoceptor blockade, the bradycardia that occurred during hypoxaemia was enhanced (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), the increase in HRV was not affected and neither was the increase in PSD. 6. As FHR and HRV of normoxaemic foetal sheep were affected both by atropine and propranolol, it would seem that both cardiac vagal and sympathoadrenal activity modulate the foetal heart under resting conditions. The lack of any effect of beta-adrenoceptor blockade on PSD under these conditions suggests that power spectral analysis (PSA) is not as sensitive as the other two methods in detecting sympathetically mediated modulation of the heart. 7. Because the hypoxaemia induced bradycardia and increase in HRV and in PSD were abolished by atropine (P < 0.01-P < 0.001), it is concluded that during hypoxaemia foetal HRV is mainly modulated by changes in cardiac vagal tone. Propranolol had no effect on foetal HRV, although it reduced it under normoxaemic conditions; therefore, it is concluded that cardiac sympathetic neural activity was not increased in acute hypoxaemia uncomplicated by acidosis. However, there was strong evidence of increased sympathoadrenal tone on the foetal heart in hypoxaemia, that is, there was a rise in FHR in hypoxaemic atropinized foetuses and a greater fall in FHR in beta-adrenoceptor blocked hypoxaemic foetuses. Therefore, this increased sympathetic influence on the foetal heart during hypoxaemia must be predominantly the result of increased adrenomedullary secretion of catecholamines. 8. Maintenance of foetal cardiac output depends on the chronotropic and ionotropic effects of catecholamines. Therefore, this adrenomedullary influence on the foetal heart during hypoxaemia is important to offset the opposing effects of increased cardiac vagal tone. 相似文献

The difference in sympathovagal activity preceding non-sustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT) was examined between patients with and without a circadian rhythm. Thirty-three patients' Holter monitoring data (41 NSVT episodes) were analyzed regarding the frequency domain measures (low-frequency component [LF: 0.04-0.15 Hz], high-frequency component [HF: 0.15-0.4 Hz], and the ratio of LF to HF [LF/HF]) for each 15-min average from 120 min before each episode of NSVT. The presence of a circadian rhythm was accepted when the rhythm adaptation was significant by cosinor analysis and the acrophase was located at night (22.00-06.00h) in HF (HF-positive group, n=17), and during the daytime (10.00-20.00h) in LF/HF (LF/HF-positive group, n=12). The negative groups were identified by the absence of a circadian rhythm (HF-negative group, n=16; LF/HF-negative group, n=21). The serial changes in the HF power before NSVT were significantly different between the HF-positive and -negative groups (p<0.05). The HF increased from 75-60 min before NSVT in the HF-positive group, whereas the HF decreased from 60-45 min in the HF-negative group. The serial changes in the LF/HF ratio were not significantly different between the LF/HF-positive and -negative groups. Thus, the circadian rhythmicity of vagal activity seems to have an important role in the genesis of NSVT. 相似文献

Heart rate variability (HRV) (SD of the RR interval), an index of parasympathetic tone, was measured at rest and during exercise in 13 healthy older men (age 60 to 82 years) and 11 healthy young men (age 24 to 32 years) before and after 6 months of aerobic exercise training. Before exercise training, the older subjects had a 47% lower HRV at rest compared with the young subjects (31 +/- 5 ms vs 58 +/- 4 ms, p = 0.0002). During peak exercise, the older subjects had less parasympathetic withdrawal than the young subjects (-45% vs -84%, p = 0.0001). Six months of intensive aerobic exercise training increased maximum oxygen consumption by 21% in the older group and 17% in the young group (analysis of variance: overall training effect, p = 0.0001; training effect in young vs old, p = NS). Training decreased the heart rate at rest in both the older (-9 beats/min) and the young groups (-5 beats/min, before vs after, p = 0.0001). Exercise training increased HRV at rest (p = 0.009) by 68% in the older subjects (31 +/- 5 ms to 52 +/- 8 ms) and by 17% in the young subjects (58 +/- 4 ms to 68 +/- 6 ms). Exercise training increases parasympathetic tone at rest in both the healthy older and young men, which may contribute to the reduction in mortality associated with regular exercise. 相似文献

The present study was designed to assess cardiac autonomic activities, coronary microvascular function, and their relationship in patients with syndrome X. Control of coronary blood flow is complex, and impaired coronary flow reserve has been attributed as the cause of myocardial ischemia in patients with syndrome X. It is unknown whether cardiac autonomic activities are altered in the presence of coronary microvascular dysfunction in patients with syndrome X. Eighteen patients with syndrome X were studied. Great cardiac vein flow was measured by the thermodilution method and the coronary flow reserve was determined by intravenous dipyridamole (0.56 mg/kg) infusion. Twenty-four-hour ambulatory electrocardiograms were obtained in a drug-free state. Another 14 age- and sex-matched normal subjects served as a control group. The amplitude (in ms) of ultralow (ULF), very-low (VLF), low (LF), and high (HF) frequency bands and total spectra of heart rate variability were measured for twenty-four-hour and every four-hour interval of the day. 相似文献
