To investigate the expression of homeobox B (Hoxb)-13 and analyze its relationship with tumor angiogenesis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-associated markers (E-cadherin and vimentin), clinicopathologic data and prognosis in pancreatic carcinoma. Immunohistochemistry was applied to determine the level of Hoxb-13 expression in tumor tissues and surrounding non-tumor tissues from 85 subjects with pancreatic carcinoma. Besides, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), CD31, E-cadherin and vimentin were also detected in tumor tissues by immunostaining. We found that the level of Hoxb-13 expression was significantly higher in pancreatic carcinoma tissues than in paracarcinomatous tissues (P < 0.05). Hoxb-13 staining was positively correlated with VEGF (r = 0.429, P < 0.001) and microvessel density (MVD) (r = 0.454, P < 0.001). Likewise, Hoxb-13 staining was positively correlated with vimentin (r = 0.448, P < 0.001); while it was negatively correlated with E-cadherin (r = -0.405, P < 0.001). High Hoxb-13 expression was associated with aggressive clinicopathological characteristics, worse disease-free survival (DFS) (P < 0.001) and worse overall survival (OS) (P < 0.001). Multivariate analysis showed that Hoxb-13 was an independent predictor for poor DFS (P < 0.001) and OS (P = 0.002). In conclusion, our data show that overexpressed Hoxb-13 is correlated with tumor angiogenesis, aberrant expression of EMT-associated markers and aggressive clinicopathological characteristics, and serves as a promising marker for unfavourable prognosis in pancreatic carcinoma.  相似文献

Introduction: MicroRNA-124 (miR-124) has been proven dysregulated in several human malignancies and correlated with tumor progression. However, its expression and clinical significance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is still unclear. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the clinical significance of miR-124 expression in NSCLC. Methods: Expression levels of miR-124 in 92 pairs of NSCLC and adjacent non-tumor tissues were detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). In order to determine its prognostic value, overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) were evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and multivariate analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazard analysis. Results: miR-124 expression level was significantly lower in NSCLC tissues compared with adjacent non-tumor tissues (P < 0.05). The 5-year OS of low miR-124 expression group was significantly shorter than that of high miR-124 expression group (P < 0.05). Moreover, the 5-year DFS of low miR-124 expression group was also significantly shorter than that of high miR-124 expression group (P < 0.05). In a multivariate Cox model, we found that miR-124 expression was an independent prognostic factor for both 5-year OS and 5-year DFS in NSCLC (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Our results offer the convincing evidence that miR-124 may play key roles in the progression of lung cancer and that the down-regulated expression of miR-124 may be independently associated with shorter OS and DFS of patients, suggesting that miR-124 might be a potential marker for further risk stratification in the treatment of lung cancer.  相似文献

Objectives: Despite considerable interest in the Nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)/Kelch-like ECH-associated protein-1 (Keap1), p16 and epithelial cadherin (E-cadherin) activation in carcinoma progression, contradictory results regarding association of Nrf2/Keap1/E-cadherin and p16 expression with clinico-pathological features and prognosis have been reported. The predictive value of these markers in ovarian carcinoma is unknown. Methods/Materials: In this retrospective study, 108 cases were evaluated immunohistochemically with antibodies to Nrf2, Keap1, estrogen receptor (ER), p16 and E-cadherin. The results were compared with histological and clinical data, disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Results: A cohort of 108 ovarian carcinomas (47 serous, 23 mucinous, 13 endometrioid and 25 clear cell), including 68 FIGO stage I-II cases and 40 FIGO stage III-IV cases was studied. The age of patients (P=0.005), FIGO stage (P<0.001), immunohistochemical expression of Keap1 (P<0.000), E-cadherin (P=0.045), p53 (P=0.003), p16 (P<0.001) and ER (P=0.004) were significant factors between different histological subtypes. Patients with serous carcinoma were older in age, presented with more advanced stage disease, worst prognosis, highest Keap1 expression and least percentage of E-cadherin immunoreactivity. In univariate analysis, FIGO staging (P=0.000 for DFS; P=0.000 for OS), Nrf2 (P=0.010 for DFS; P=0.001 for OS), and p16 (P=0.004 for DFS; P=0.019 for OS) were associated with worse prognosis. After multivariate analysis, FIGO staging and Nrf2 remained significance prognostic factors. Conclusions: There were differences in the expression of Nrf2, Keap1, p16 and E-cadherin between different ovarian carcinoma subtypes. In multivariate analysis, FIGO stage and Nrf2 expression were associated with poorer DFS and OS.  相似文献

Despite a low risk of liver failure and preserved liver function, non-cirrhotic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a poor prognosis. In the current study, we evaluated an active regulator of SIRT1 (AROS) as a prognostic biomarker in non-cirrhotic HCC. mRNA levels of AROS were measured in tumor and non-tumor tissues obtained from 283 non-cirrhotic HCC patients. AROS expression was exclusively up-regulated in recurrent tissues from the non-cirrhotic HCC patients (P = 0.015) and also in tumor tissues irrespective of tumor stage (P < 0.001) or BCLC stage (P < 0.001). High mRNA levels of AROS were statistically significantly associated with tumor stage (P < 0.001), BCLC stage (P = 0.007), alpha fetoprotein (AFP) level (P = 0.013), microvascular invasion (P = 0.001), tumor size (P = 0.036), and portal vein invasion (P = 0.005). Kaplan-Meir curve analysis demonstrated that HCC patients with higher AROS levels had shorter disease-free survival (DFS) in both the short-term (P < 0.001) and long-term (P = 0.005) compared to those with low AROS. Cox regression analysis demonstrated that AROS is a significant predictor for DFS along with large tumor size, tumor multiplicity, vascular invasion, and poor tumor differentiation, which are the known prognostic factors. In conclusion, AROS is a significant biomarker for tumor aggressiveness in non-cirrhotic hepatocellular carcinoma.  相似文献

Previous studies have shown that chemokine receptor CXCR7 plays critical roles in tumor development. However, the clinicopathological and prognositic significance of CXCR7 in colorectal carcinoma (CRC) has not been fully understood. The aim of our study is to investigate the expression of CXCR7 and its clinical significance in CRC. First, quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot assays were performed to determine the expression of CXCR7 mRNA and protein in 20 paired of CRC tissues and corresponding adjacent non-tumor tissues. Next, immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of CXCR7 protein in another 96 cases of CRC tissues, and analyze its correlation with clinicopathological factors of patients. Finally, the correlation of CXCR7 with 5-year overall survival (OS) and progression free survival (PFS) was statistically analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazards model. Results showed that the expression levels of CXCR7 mRNA and protein were significantly higher in CRC tissues than in normal tissues. Positive CXCR7 expression was observed to be significantly correlated with lymph nodal metastasis (P < 0.001), distant metastasis (P = 0.017), and advanced TNM stage (P < 0.001). Patients with positive expression of CXCR7 were demonstrated to be associated with worse OS and PFS (P < 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively). Moreover, multivariate survival analysis revealed that CXCR7 expression level might be an independent predictive factor for OS and PFS of CRC patients. Collectively, positive CXCR7 expression in CRC was correlated with tumor development and poor prognosis of patients.  相似文献

Homeobox B13 (HOXB13) is generally considered as a crucial regulator of terminal cellular differentiation. More recently, the absent or aberrant expression of HOXB13 has been increasingly implicated in cancer development and metastasis. However, the expression of HOXB13 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its correlation with tumor angiogenesis and prognosis still remain unclear. The aim of the study was to evaluate the expression of HOXB13 in patients with HCC and explore the relationship of HOXB13 expression with clinicopathologic factors, tumor angiogenesis and prognosis. Immunohistochemistry was performed to determine the expression of HOXB13 in HCC and corresponding paracarcinomatous tissues from 72 patients. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and CD31 were only examined in tissues of HCC patients mentioned above. The results showed that HOXB13 expression was significantly (P <0.001) higher in HCC (69.4%) than that in surrounding non-tumor tissues (26.4%), positively correlated with tumor VEGF (P <0.001) and microvessel density (MVD) (P = 0.013). Besides, it was associated with tumor capsula (P <0.001), vascular invasion (P <0.001), Edmondson grade (P <0.001), AFP (P = 0.007) and TNM stage (P <0.001). Univariate analysis showed poorer overall survival (OS) rate and disease free survival (DFS) rate in patients expressing higher levels of HOXB13. HOXB13 was also found to be an independent poor prognostic factor of OS and DFS in multivariate analysis. Taken together, our results suggest that increased HOXB13 expression is associated with tumor angiogenesis and progression in HCC and may function as a promising biomarker for unfavorable prognosis of HCC.  相似文献

Background: Recent findings suggest decreasing TFPI-2 expression plays a significant role in inhibiting cell migration and tumor invasion. The clinicopathological significance of the expression of TFPI-2 and its possible correlation with the expression of CD133 in cholangiocarcinoma remains to be solved. Methods: We investigated if TFPI-2 was involved in the clinicopathological significance of cholangiocarcinoma. An immunohistochemical method was used to detect 218 cases of cholangiocarcinoma, 30 para-neoplastic and 20 normal bile ducts for their expression status of TFPI-2 and CD133, and then the results were analyzed with the patient’s age, sex, tumor site and the histological grade, clinical stage as well as overall mean survival time. Results: Compared with the para-neoplastic and normal cholangiocytes, the expression of TFPI-2 was obviously decreased while the expression of CD133 in carcinoma cells was increased. Carcinomas with low expression of TFPI-2 were significantly corresponding to the tumor site (P = 0.006), size (P = 0.005), histological grade (P = 0.0001) and clinical stage (P = 0.0001), but not to the age (P = 0.066) and sex (P = 0.411), respectively. By Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, the low expression of TFPI-2 was significantly correlative with the overall survival time (P = 0.0001). Further, the expression of TFPI-2 was found inversely correlative with the expression of CD133 (g = -0.3876, P < 0.0001). Conclusions: Our finding suggests that the decreased expression of TFPI-2 may play an important role in the carcinogenesis and progression, and may become a new adjunct marker in the diagnosis and prognosis in cholangiocarcinoma. The expression of TFPI-2 may be inversely correlative with the expression of CD133.  相似文献

To investigate whether Period 1 (PER1) and Estrogen receptor-beta (ER2) are associated with occurrence and development of Chinese colorectal cancers. By using RT-quantitative PCR, tissue microarray (TMA) and immunohistochemistry, we detected mRNA levels and protein levels of PER1 and ER2 in the cancerous tissues and paired normal adjacent tissues in patients with colorectal cancer. Survival analyses were performed by the Kaplan-Meier method utilizing log-rank test and univariate and multivariate Cox proportional modeling to measure 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Real-time PCR showed that, the delta Ct value (tumor tissue vs. normal mucosa) of PER1 or ER2 is 8.51±2.81 vs. 7.34±2.08 or 12.39±2.43 vs. 9.76±1.75, expression of PER1 and ER2 decreased significantly in tumor tissues compared with noncancerous mucosas of patients with or without metastasis (both of P values <0.001). Spearman test revealed that PER1 and ER2 were significantly down-regulated in cancerous tissues (r=0.283; P<0.001) which was also confirmed by immunohistochemistry of specimens from 203 colon cancer patients in a TMA format. The reduction of PER1 was associated with gender and distant metastasis (P=0.037 and P<0.001, respectively) whereas the decline of ER2 was associated with age (P=0.043) by analyzing the clinical data. However, we were not capable of detecting any association between PER1 level or ER2 level and overall survival (OS) or disease free survival (DFS). It is the first observation of correlated reduction of PER1 and ER2 in Chinese colon cancers, and they do play a certain role in colorectal cancer.  相似文献

Objectives: Association of MTA2 expression with presence, development, metastasis and prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) was investigated. Methods: 90 CRC-related cases with follow-up information were made into tissue microarrays according to the paired principle of cancer tissues and the adjacent tissues. Subsequently, the expression of MAT2 was detected with immunohistochemical analysis and SPSS software was finally utilized to analyze the relationships between experimental data and clinical indicatives. Results: Expression of MTA2 in CRC tissues were notably higher than their adjacent tissues (P < 0.001) and showed significant positive correlation with tumor grade (r2 > 0, P < 0.01). Moreover, survival analysis indicated that MTA2 expression in cancer tissues, serving as an independent correlation factor, was significantly correlated with poor prognosis (P = 0.004). Conclusions: MTA2 is a crucial biomarker that is closely related with prognosis of CRC and also a potential molecular target for evaluating the prognosis and treatment of CRC.  相似文献

Despite advances made in the diagnosis and treatment of human colorectal cancer (CRC), the long-term survival for CRC remains poor. Long non-coding RNA anti-differentiation ncRNA (lncRNA DANCR) was identified to be involved in carcinogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma. While its expression in CRC and potential role in tumor progression is still unknown. In the present study, we investigated the expression level of lncRNA DANCR as well as its association with CRC progression and prognosis. The expression of lncRNA DANCR was detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) in 104 CRC specimens. The prognostic value of lncRNA DANCR was further analysis. Our results showed that lncRNA DANCR expression was increased in CRC tissues compared with that in adjacent normal tissues (P<0.05). In addition, tumors with high lncRNA DANCR expression was correlated with TNM stage, histologic grade, and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that patients with high lncRNA DANCR expression had a shorter overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) compared with the low lncRNA DANCR expression group (P<0.05). Moreover, in a multivariate Cox model, our results showed that lncRNA DANCR expression was an independent poor prognostic factor for both OS and DFS in CRC. Our data indicated that lncRNA DANCR expression might be a novel potential biomarker for CRC prognosis.  相似文献

The specific mechanism underlying the role of putative stem cell marker aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1) playing in development and progression of breast cancer is currently unclear. Transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) signaling pathway is reported to be activated in most cancers. Thus a study was initiated to explore possible differences and correlation of ALDH1 and TGFβ2 expression in the most common malignant and benign tumors of the breast in Chinese women. Samples of 75 breast cancer tissues, 30 paracancerous normal tissues, and 39 fibroadenoma breast tissues were investigated for the expression of ALDH1 and TGFβ2 using immunohistochemistry. The positive rates of ALDH1 and TGFβ2 protein were 62.67% and 66.67%, respectively, in breast cancer tissues, which were significantly higher than that in normal fibroadenoma breast (P<0.05) and paracancerous tissues (P<0.01). ALDH1 and TGFβ2 status were significantly associated with tumor histological grade and receptor status (P<0.05). Expression of ALDH1 was found to be positively correlative to TGFβ2 in breast cancer (r = 0.33, P<0.01). Expression of both proteins remained significantly associated with reduced overall survival (OS) by univariate analysis (P<0.05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that ALDH1 expression, tumor stage, and lymph node status are independent prognostic factors in invasive breast cancer patients. Thus ALDH1 and TGFβ2 play important roles in the development of breast cancer. The ALDH1 phenotype is an independent predictor of poor prognosis, and TGFβ2 signaling pathway activation might be involved in the pathological regulation of ALDH1 in breast cancer.  相似文献

The objective of the current study was to investigate the expression pattern and clinicopathological significance of Period1 (Per1), Period2 (Per2) and Period3 (Per3) in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In 130 archived NSCLC tissues, the positive rate of Per1 (86/130, 66.2%), Per2 (77/130, 59.2%) and Per3 (82/130, 63.1%) were reduced in human lung cancer samples compared with adjacent normal lung tissues (Per1, 119/130, 91.5%; Per2, 115/130, 88.5%; Per3, 121/130, 93.1%), as measured by immunohistochemical staining. Loss of Per1 was correlated with poor differentiation (P < 0.001), tumor status (P=0.04), high p-TNM stage (P < 0.001) and lymph node metastasis (P=0.045). The similar tendencies were also found in the correlation of the expression of Per2 and Per3 with clinicopathological factors. In addition, a significant correlation was found between Per1 and Per2 (P < 0.001) in 130 cases of NSCLC. Similarly, a significant correlation was found between Per2 and Per3 (P=0.045). Patients with lower expression of Per1, Per2 and Per3 had a shorter survival time than those with higher expression. These results indicate that loss of Per may promote tumor progression in NSCLC, and may serve as a novel prognostic biomarker of NSCLC.  相似文献

Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma is a common malignant tumor of otolaryngeal region. At present, effective treatment of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma still depends on surgery and radiotherapy. In recent years, application of CO2 laser resection in the treatment of stage T1 glottic carcinoma can remove the tumor completely and reduce the injury of laryngeal tissues. But recurrence still happened in some postoperative patients. Here, we selected 131 patients to compare the therapeutic effects of CO2 laser resection and traditional split laryngeal surgery on the early laryngeal cancer, examined the expression of p27 and PTEN by immunohistochemistry in early laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues in correlation to clinical outcome. After two years follow-up 14/85 (16.5%) of CO2 laser treatment group presented with local recurrence (recurrent group), while that of split laryngeal surgery group was 6/46 (13.0%). There was no statistical significance in recurrence rate between the two groups (P > 0.05). 10 of all the 111 (9.0%) non-recurrent patients did not follow the doctor’s advice to quit smoking after the operation, while 12 in the 20 (60.0%) recurrent patients did not; the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01). The positive rates of p27 were 80.2% (105/131) and 43.5% (57/131), and that of PTEN were 83.2% (109/131) and 48.9% (64/131) in the cancer adjacent tissues (negative surgical margin tissues) and in laryngeal carcinoma tissues, respectively (P < 0.001). The expression rates of p27 and PTEN in laryngeal carcinoma tissues of the recurrent group were 20.0% (4/20), 10.0% (2/20) and that in non recurrent group were 47.7% (53/111) and 55.9% (62/111), respectively, with a significant difference (P < 0.001). In addition, the expression of p27 and PTEN in tumor resected marginal tissues of the recurrence group was 50.0% (10/20), 40.0% (8/20) and that in non recurrence group was 85.6% (95/111) and 91.0% (101/111), respectively; the difference was also statistically significant between both groups (P < 0.001). In conclusion, there is no statistically significant difference in tumor recurrence rate between CO2 laser surgery and traditional split laryngeal surgery. Postoperative recurrence is closely related to resume smoking. The recurrence rate of p27 and/or PTEN-negative patients was higher than that of the positive ones, that should be followed up closely after treatment.  相似文献

Chemokine receptor CXCR3 has been proved to play an important role in tumorigenesis and tumor progression in many malignancies, but its precise efficacy on gastric cancer (GC) has not been evaluated yet. The present study was aimed to explore the correlation of chemokine receptor CXCR3 with tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and prognosis in advanced gastric cancer (GC). Expression of CXCR3 and CD4+, CD8+ TILs was conducted in 192 advanced GC specimens and 48 corresponding paracancerous tissues by immunohistochemical (IHC) analysis. CXCR3 expression in GC tissues was significantly higher than that in paracancerous tissues (P<0.001) and CD8+, CD4+ TILs infiltration increased with high CXCR3 expression (P=0.032 and P<0.001, respectively). Our study showed significantly lower CXCR3 expression in patients with greater tumor invasion depth and lymph node metastasis compared with patients with lesser tumor invasion depth and without lymph node metastasis (P=0.002 and P=0.001, respectively). Univariate analysis indicated that patients with high CXCR3 expression and high CD8+ TILs infiltration had longer overall survival (OS) (log-rank test, P<0.001 and P=0.002, respectively). Univariate and multivariate analyses indicated that CXCR3 expression was an independent prognostic factor for OS (P=0.002). The present study suggested that CXCR3 expression was upregulated in advanced GC and was associated with increased CD4+, CD8+ TILs infiltration and improved OS. Therefore, CXCR3 overexpression is implicated as a favorable prognostic biomarker in human advanced GC.  相似文献

Objective: This study aims to explore the clinical characteristics of ABCE1 in esophageal cancers and its roles in the proliferation, invasiveness, migration and apoptosis of the esophageal carcinoma Eca109 cell line. Methods: The expression of ABCE1 and its target protein-RNase L, were first studied in tumor tissues of esophageal carcinoma and adjacent non-tumor tissues. The siRNA green fluorescent protein (GFP) expression vector of ABCE1 was prepared and transfected into the esophageal carcinoma Eca109 cells, then the fluorescence microscope was used to study the transfection efficiency. The MTT assay, cell invasion, the transwell and scratch assay were used to study cell proliferation and migration activity; the apoptosis rate was tested by flow cytometry. Western blot and RT-PCR assay were adopted to measure their silencing efficacy. Results: ABCE1 expression is low in the adjacent non-tumor tissues while the expression is high in the esophageal carcinoma; the expression is reversely proportional to the differentiation degrees. The expression of RNase L was in contrary to ABCE1. After transfected with ABCE1-siRNA, the proliferation, invasiveness and migration capabilities of cells decreased significantly whilst the apoptosis rate enhanced greatly (P<0.01). Meanwhile, the expression of ABCE1 in Eca109 cells was blocked (P<0.01) while the expression of RNase L increased significantly (P<0.01). Conclusion: ABCE1 is closely connected with the pathogenesis and development of esophageal carcinoma, which act through the cellular pathways of 2-5A/RNase L.  相似文献

Background: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to have important regulatory roles in cancer biology, and the lncRNA Sox2ot is up-regulated in some tumors. However, the contributions of Sox2ot to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain largely unknown. Methods: In the present study, expression of lncRNA Sox2ot was evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR in tumor tissues and adjacent non-tumor tissues in 84 HCC patients. The association of lncRNA Sox2ot expression with clinicopathological features and the prognosis of HCC patients were also analyzed. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox’s proportional hazards model. Small interfering RNA assay was used to explore the function of lncRNA Sox2ot on HCC cell migration and invasion. Results: lncRNA Sox2ot expression level was significantly higher in HCC tissues compared with adjacent non-tumor tissues (P<0.05). High expression of lncRNA Sox2ot was associated with histological grade, TNM stage, and vein invasion. The 5-year overall survival of high lncRNA Sox2ot expression group was significantly shorter than that of low lncRNA Sox2ot expression group (P<0.05). The multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that lncRNA Sox2ot expression was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival. In addition, the metastasis ability of HCC cells was significantly decreased by knocking down lncRNA Sox2ot expression. Conclusions: The results suggested that lncRNA Sox2ot played crucial roles in promoting HCC cell migration and invasion, and might represent a novel prognostic biomarker for HCC.  相似文献

Objectives: To investigate CD147 and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) expressions in type II/III adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction (AEG), and their clinicopathological significances. Methods: Seventy-four patients clinically and pathologically diagnosed with type II/III AEG were analyzed, each undergoing radical total gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy. The avidin streptavidin-perosidase immunohistochemistry technique was used to detect CD147 and MMP-9 in type II/III AEGs and 20 para-tumor controls, and their correlations with clinicopathological data and their reciprocal relationship were then analyzed. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was conducted to reveal their prognostic significances. SPSS 20.0 was used for data analysis. A difference was statistically significant with P < 0.05, and very significant with P < 0.01. Results: In type II/III AEG CD147 and MMP-9 were mainly expressed on cellular membrane of in tumor cell cytoplasm. MMP-9 expression was significantly stronger at tumor-stroma junction and front edge of invasion. Their positive rates were significantly higher in malignant tissues than para-tumor tissues (P < 0.01 for both). There existed a significant positive correlation between both expressions (P < 0.05). They were significantly more highly expressed in cancers with lymphatic metastasis (P < 0.01 for both), at TNM III/IV stages (P < 0.01 for both), and with poor differentiation grade (P < 0.05 for both). Higher CD147 and MMP-9 expression rates were correlated with inferior postsurgical survivals (P < 0.05 for both). Conclusions: CD147 and MMP-9 could be novel biomarkers for type II/III AEG, and potentially predict tumor progression and prognosis. They are worth further investigation.  相似文献
