报道了双端抽运连续输出的掺Yb^3 双包层高功率光纤激光器。实验采用了中心波长在975nm附近的两种输出形式的半导体激光器(LD)作为抽运源,测量了不同抽运条件下的输出功率特性和光谱特性。在仅尾纤输出的半导体激光器抽运下获得了斜率效率为42%,峰值波长为1103.8nm的9.2W激光输出;在仅准直输出的半导体激光器抽运下获得了斜率效率为57%,峰值波长为1104.4nm的20.0W激光输出;当两个半导体激光器在双端同时抽运时,获得光纤激光最大输出功率为30.6W,输出峰值波长为1108.4nm,以及49%的总体光一光转换效率。 相似文献

在微脉冲激光雷达对能见度的测量系统中,常采用光子计数和模/数(A/D)转换两种处理方法进行对比测量,但微脉冲激光器没有Q开关,不能输出与激光脉冲同步的信号,来触发A/D卡采集大气会波信号.本文以高频管和高速单稳触发电路解决了该问题,使整形后的TTL信号的触发沿(上升沿)与激光脉冲的延时相盖50ns,可将测量系统的盲区控制在10m以内. 相似文献

针对红外触发装置在经过长时间工作之后出现失稳现象,在分析红外触发装置工作原理的基础上,通过实验监测和分析手段得出如下结论:红外触发装置经长时间工作后,因温度累积导致温度上升,引起红外激光触发装置的光源——红外激光器阈值电流Ith(T)上升,而温度升高同时引起激光光源驱动恒流源输出电流Iout(T)降低,当Iout(T) Ith(T),红外激光器始终处于稳定发光状态,从而使红外触发装置也处于稳定工作状态。经过长时间的上电运行验证实验,红外触发器工作稳定,未发生误触发信号,较好解决了其失稳问题。此研究对提高红外触发装置的稳定性有重要的工程应用价值。 相似文献

A high-power hydrogen thyratron grid-anode structure has been developed using a 5949 thyratron cathode assembly. One such device was operated for 10 h at 2000 A, 32 kV, at 1400 pps with a pulse width of 0.3 µs. Another was operated for periods up to 220 h at 1000 A, 100 kV, at a duty cycle of 0.00004. The duty cycle is presently limited by our test modulator circuit. Trigger requirements are 2 kV at 50 Ω with a 2.5-µs duration. The jitter was nil when measured with a Tektronix 517 oscilloscope using a sweep speed of 50 ns/cm. The anode delay time is in the range of 1/4 to 1/2/ µs. The grid-anode geometry is designed for a minimum anode-grid capacity, thus providing a tube with a higher repetition rate capability. The field emission limit up to 100 kV is not evident in the normal sense in this geometry. 相似文献

A compact, lightweight, burst mode pulse generator has been designed and evaluated at a megawatt of average power. The modulator occupies a volume of 0.81 m3and weighs 225 kg. The recently developed MAPS-40 thyratron [1] and two high-energy density pulse-forming networks [2] (PFN) are used as the switch and energy store. A solid-state end-of-line clipper circuit is included and was found to be essential at high average power loadings. The modulator has been evaluated using a copper sulphate load at 40-kV peak voltage, 40-kA peak current, 10-µs pulsewidth, 40-kA/µs rise time,and 50 A of average current at a repetition rate of 125 Hz. Repeated burst on times of 5 s in a 35-s time period have been demonstrated. 相似文献

The design, construction, and operating results of a high-voltage modulator system capable of generating 700-kV, 2.5-μs pulses at 5 p.p.s. into a load of 900 Ω are presented. The modular is used to energize a variety of high power microwave devices requiring voltage stability and reproducibility. Voltage ripple is less than 0.2% during the 1.0-μs flat top, with a shot-to-shot voltage variation of less than 0.1%. The primary circuit consists of two seven-stage tunable Rayleigh-type pulse-forming networks (PFNs) connected in parallel with a total impedance of 2.25 Ω, a total capacitance of 0.56 μF, and a total inductance of 2.8 μH. The PFN is charged by a highly stable 80-kV capacitor charging power supply (0.1% RMS voltage ripple) at a rate of 10 KJ/s. The total energy stored (1.5 kJ) is released through an ITT F-187 thyratron into a 20:1 pulse transformer, which generates 700-kV, 2.5-μs pulses. By changing the transformer, it was possible to obtain 250-kV, 1.70-kA pulses for driving low-impedance relativistic magnetron diodes. The flat-top voltage generated by the modulator is highly desirable for driving RF sources requiring high-quality electron beams, such as free-electron lasers (FELs) and cyclotron autoresonance masers (CARMs). The design of magnetic pulse sharpening circuits for thyratron switching applications is presented. It is useful to add a saturating magnetic switch in series with the tube. Addition of the magnetic device reduces anode dissipation, hence reducing thyratron cooling requirements. The saturating magnetic switch allows the anode voltage to collapse while delaying the forward current, thus reducing the electron energy to a level below that which results in erosion. The complex interrelated issues of material selection, electrical parameters, core reset, and mechanical engineering are considered for the development of an integrated point design.
