＂CPPI 2014 Paper Industry High-level Summit＂ and ＂China Pulp Week 2014＂ were held respectively at Jinan and Shanghai, on 18-19 Mar. and 25-26 Mar., which of the two comferences built a high- level communication platform for the world paper pulp and paper industry. Under the situation of slow growth of global economy and the stategy transition stage of China paper industry, almost all in paper industry, including industrial leaders, experts and CEOs in enterprises, pay attention to thedevelopment strategy of paper industry.

2013 Annual Report of China's Paper Industry

According to the survey made by China Paper Association （CPA）, in 2013, there were about 3,400 paper ＆ board manufacturers. The total production and consumption of paper ＆ board were 101.10 million tons and 97.82 million tons, decreased by 1.37% and 2.65% compared to the previous year respectively; paper ＆ board per capita consumption was 72 kg. From 2004 to 2013, the average annual growth rate of paper ＆ board production was 8.26%, and the average annual growth rate of paper ＆ board consumption was 6.74%. As shown in Fig. 1.

China Technical Association of Paper Industry and China Pulp and Paper Research Institute will jointly organize one-day international paper technical conference " China Paper 2013 " at the Kempinski Hotel on September 24th,2013. "China Paper 2013" is one of the most influential and popular academic event of China's papermaking industry.The conference will invite domestic and abroad experts to deliver presentations on current hot issues.The participants can learn more about the achievements and developments trend of China' s and international paper industries.All of scientists engineers,management persons,students of paper and related industries are most welcome to attend the conference.     

2008 Annual Report of China＇s Paper Industry

I. Production and Consumption of Paper ＆ Board 1. According to the survey made by China Paper Association, in 2008, there were about 3,500 paper mills in mainland China; their total production of paper ＆ board was 79.80 million tons, increased by 8.57% compared to 73.50 million tons in 2007; the total paper ＆ board consumption was 79.35 million tons, increased by 8.85% compared to 72.90 million tons in 2007; paper ＆ board per capita consumption reached 60 kg from 55 kg in 2007. From 2000 to 2008, the nation＇s total paper ＆ board production increased by 161.64% with an average annual growth rate of 12.78%, total consumption increased by 121.96% with an average annual growth rate of 10.48%. As shown in Fig.1.     

News of 2013 CIPTE

The “2013 China International Paper Technology Exhibition and Conference”(2013 CIPTE) will be held in Beijing National Agricultural Exhibition Centre on September 23 to 25 , 2013. The exhibition is jointly organized by China Paper Association, China Technical Association of Paper Industry and China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute. With 13,000 square meters of exhibit space, the exhibition contents including: pulping and papermaking mechanical equipments, components, accessories, automation equipments and instruments; all kinds of commercial pulp, paper and paperboard; waste paper and waste paper-using technologies and equipments, etc.; papermaking chemicals; new technologies and equipments for environmental protection, energy saving, emission reduction and comprehensive application; raw materials and equipments for specialty paper.
