In the paper, we characterize the coefficient multiplier spaces of mixed norm spaces (H p,q 1), H u,v 2)) for the values of p, q, u, v in three cases: (i) 0 < pu ≤ ∞, 0 < q ≤ min(1, v) ≤ ∞. (ii) v = ∞, 0 < pu ≤ ∞, 1 ≤ u, q ≤ ∞. (iii) 1 ≤ v ≤ 2 ≤ q ≤ ∞, and 0 < pu ≤ ∞ or 1 ≤ p, u ≤ ∞. The first case extends the result of Blasco, Jevtić, and Pavlović in one variable. To compare to the classical case a difference characterization of such spaces in the case |α|<1 is given also. We study the sharp constant in the inequality between the L p -mean (p ≥ 0) of a 2π-periodic function with zero mean value and the L q -norm (q ≥ 1) of the positive cutoff of its derivative. We obtain estimates of the constant from below for 0 ≤ p ≤ ∞ and from above for 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞ for an arbitrary 1 ≤ q ≤ ∞. We write out the values of the sharp constant in the cases p = 2, 1 ≤ q ≤ ∞ and p = ∞, 1 ≤ q ≤ ∞.  相似文献

We present a definition of general Sobolev spaces with respect to arbitrary measures, Wh,p (Ω,μ) for 1 ≤p≤∞. In [RARP] we proved that these spaces are complete under very light conditions. Now we prove that if we consider certain general types of measures, then Cc∞ (R) is dense in thee spaces. As an application to Sobolev orthogonal polynomials, we study the boundedness of the multiplication operator. This gives an estimation of the zeroes of Sobolev orthogonal polynomials.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of solutions in a Sobolev space Wpk(ℝs) (1≤p≤∞) to a vector refinement equation with a general dilation matrix. The criterion is constructive and can be implemented. Rate of convergence of vector cascade algorithms in a Sobolev space Wpk(ℝs) will be investigated. When the dilation matrix is isotropic, a characterization will be given for the Lp (1≤p≤∞) critical smoothness exponent of a refinable function vector without the assumption of stability on the refinable function vector. As a consequence, we show that if a compactly supported function vector φ∈Lp(ℝs) (φ∈C(ℝs) when p=∞) satisfies a refinement equation with a finitely supported matrix mask, then all the components of φ must belong to a Lipschitz space Lip(ν,Lp(ℝs)) for some ν>0. This paper generalizes the results in R.Q. Jia, K.S. Lau and D.X. Zhou (J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 7 (2001) 143–167) in the univariate setting to the multivariate setting. We point out that if the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator is bounded on the space L p(t)(ℝ), 1 < ap(t) ≤ b < ∞, t ∈ ℝ, then the well-known characterization of the spaces L p (ℝ), 1 < p < ∞, by the Littlewood–Paley theory extends to the space L p(t)(ℝ). We show that, for n > 1 , the Littlewood–Paley operator is bounded on L p(t) (ℝ n ), 1 < ap(t) ≤ b < ∞, t ∈ ℝ n , if and only if p(t) = const. We consider an infinitely repeated two-person zero-sum game with incomplete information on one side, in which the maximizer is the (more) informed player. Such games have value v (p) for all 0≤p≤1. The informed player can guarantee that all along the game the average payoff per stage will be greater than or equal to v (p) (and will converge from above to v (p) if the minimizer plays optimally). Thus there is a conflict of interest between the two players as to the speed of convergence of the average payoffs-to the value v (p). In the context of such repeated games, we define a game for the speed of convergence, denoted SG (p), and a value for this game. We prove that the value exists for games with the highest error term, i.e., games in which v n (p)− v (p) is of the order of magnitude of . In that case the value of SG (p) is of the order of magnitude of . We then show a class of games for which the value does not exist. Given any infinite martingale 𝔛={X k } k=1, one defines for each n : V n (𝔛) ≔En k=1 |X k+1X k|. For our first result we prove that for a uniformly bounded, infinite martingale 𝔛, V n (𝔛) can be of the order of magnitude of n 1/2−ε, for arbitrarily small ε>0.
