The ultrafast laser-excited magnetization dynamics of ferromagnetic(FM) La_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)MnO_3(LSMO) thin films with BiFeO_3(BFO) coating layers grown by laser molecular beam epitaxy are investigated using the optical pump-probe technique.Uniform magnetization precessions are observed in the films under an applied external magnetic field by measuring the time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect.The magnetization precession frequencies of the LSMO thin films with the BFO coating layers are lower than those of uncoated LSMO films,which is attributed to the suppression of the anisotropy field induced by the exchange interaction at the interface between the antiferromagnetic order of BFO and the FM order of LSMO.  相似文献

Temperature dependence on rectifying and photoelectronic properties of La_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)MnO_3/Nb:SrTiO_3(LSMO/STON) junctions with the thickness values of LSMO film varying from 1 nm to 54 nm are systematically studied. As shown experimentally, the junctions exhibit good rectifying properties. The significant differences in photoemission property among the LSMO/STON junctions are observed. For the junction in a thicker LSMO film, the photocurrent shows a monotonic growth when temperature decreases from 300 K to 13 K. While for the junction in an ultrathin LSMO film, the behaviors of photocurrent are more complicated. The photocurrent increases rapidly to a maximum and then smoothly decreases with the decrease of temperature. The unusual phenomenon can be elucidated by the diffusion and recombination model of the photocarrier.  相似文献

To investigate the process of strain relaxation and resultant variation of microstructure and magnetic properties,low-doped La_(0.825)Sr_(0.175)MnO_3 epitaxial films with different thicknesses are deposited on LaAlO_3 substrates and strain induced nanopillars are discovered inside the La_(0.825) Sr_(0.175)MnO_3 film. Perpendicular oriented nanopillars mainly exist below 30 nm and tend to disappear above 30 nm. The distribution of nanopillars not only induce the variation of lattice parameters and local structural distortion but also lead to the deviation of easy magnetization axis from the perpendicular direction. Specifically, the out-of-plane lattice parameters of the film decrease quickly with the increase of the thickness but tend to be constant when the thickness is above 30 nm. Meanwhile, the variations of magnetic properties along in-plane and out-of-plane directions would also decline at first and they then remain nearly unchanged. Our work constructs the relationship between nanopillars and magnetic properties inside films. We are able to clearly reveal the effects of inhomogeneous strain relaxation.  相似文献

Employing atomic force microscopy,transmission electron microscopy and the second harmonic generation technique,we carefully explore the structural properties of 6-unit-cell-thick La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)MnO_3 films grown on SrTiO_3 with atomically flat TiO_2-terminated terraces on the surface.The results clearly demonstrate that the terraces on the surface of TiO_2-terminated SrTiO_3 can improve the layer-by-layer epitaxial growth of the manganite films,which results in uniform film coverage at the beginning of growth and thus reduces the substrate-induced disorder at or near the interface.Comparing the magnetic and transport properties of La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)MnO_3 films with the thicknesses varying from 6 unit cells to 80 unit cells grown respectively on as-received SrTiO_3 and TiO_2-terminated SrTiO_3,it is found that these atomically flat terraces on the surface of TiO_2-terminated SrTiO_3 can greatly enhance the Curie temperature and conductivities of the ultrathin La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)MnO_3 films with thickness less than 50 unit cells,while no obvious difference is detected in the magnetic and transport properties of the 80unit-cell thick films.  相似文献

通过对La0.8Sr0.2Mn1-yCoyO3(y≤02)饱和磁矩和输运的测量,研究了Co对La0.8Sr0.2MnO3的磁电阻影响机制.结果表明,在La0.8Sr0.2Mn1-yCoyO3y≤02)中Co3+离子是低自旋态.由于Mn3+—O—Co3+—O—Mn3+类型的磁交换与Mn3+-Mn4+离子间双交换作用相比较弱,Curie温度TC附近的磁电阻随着Co掺杂量的增加而降低.与此相反,由于Co2+离子与eg巡游电子的反铁磁交换耦合作用,低温区间的磁电阻随着Co掺杂量的增加而升高. 关键词: 低自旋 磁电阻 磁交换作用  相似文献

We report a strong antiferromagnetic(AFM) interlayer coupling in ferromagnetic La_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)MnO_3/SrRuO_3(LSMO/SRO) superlattices grown on(111)-oriented SrTiO_3 substrate. Unlike the(001) superlattices for which the spin alignment between LSMO and SRO is antiparallel in the in-plane direction and parallel in the out-of-plane direction, the antiparallel alignment is observed along both the in-plane and out-of-plane directions in the present sample. The low temperature hysteresis loop demonstrates two-step magnetic processes, indicating the coexistence of magnetically soft and hard components. Moreover, an inverted hysteresis loop was observed. Exchange bias tuned by the temperature and cooling field was also investigated, and positive as well as negative exchange bias was observed at the same temperature with the variation of the cooling field. A very large exchange field(H_(EB)) was observed and both magnitude and sign of the H_(EB)depend on the cooling field, which can be attributed to an interplay of Zeeman energy and AFM coupling energy at the interfaces. The present work shows the great potential of tuning a spin texture through interfacial engineering for the complex oxides whose spin state is jointly determined by strongly competing mechanisms.  相似文献

利用磁控溅射方法,在(100),(110)和(111)LaAlO3(LAO)衬底上制备得到了不同生长方向的La0.7Sr0.3MnO3(LSMO)薄膜并对其结构及磁电学性能进行了系统研究.结果表明:LSMO薄膜完全按LAO衬底取向生长;(111)生长方向的薄膜由于晶格畸变程度最小,磁畴方向能较好的保持一致性,从而具有最大的磁饱和强度值;高的磁有序度减弱了巡游电子eg的自旋无序相关散射,有效降低了电阻.但外加磁场后电阻变化不明显,最大磁电阻值只有5.1%.  相似文献

利用磁控溅射和Sr成分的调制以及原位热处理方法,在10mm×10mm大小的(001) 取向SrTiO单晶衬底上制备出三明治结构为La0.7Sr0.3MnO3(100nm)/La0.96Sr0.04MnO (5nm)/ La0.7Sr0.3MnO (100nm) 的隧道结外延薄膜,然后再次 利用磁控溅射方法,在三层单晶膜上方继续沉积Ir22Mn78(15n m)/Ni79Fe21(5nm)/Pt(20nm)等金属三层膜.最后利用深紫外曝 光和Ar离子束刻蚀等微加工技术,制备出长短轴分别为12和6μm或者8和4μm大小的椭圆形L a1-xSrxMnO成分调制的复合磁性隧道结.在4.2K和 外加磁场8 T的测试下,La1-xSrxMnO成分调制的复 合磁性隧道结其隧穿磁电阻(TMR)比值达到3270%, 直接从实验上证实了铁磁性La0.7Sr0.3MnO金属氧化物的自旋极化率(97%)可接近100%,具 有很好的半金属性质. 关键词: 1-xSrxMnO')" href="#">La1-xSrxMnO 半金属 成分调制 复合磁性隧道 结 隧穿磁电阻  相似文献

文章作者制备了以多种π-共轭有机半导体(orgnanic semincondutor,简称OSEC)为中间层,La2/3Sr1/3MnO3(LSMO)和另一铁磁或非磁性金属为电极的有机二极管,测量了器件的磁致电阻和磁电致发光效应.器件显示了与LSMO电极类似的负磁电阻效应,但是它的电阻变化比LSMO电极本身的变化大3个数量级,而且器件还有正的磁电致发光效应.文章作者认为,这些磁场效应源于磁场作用下LSMO费米能级的异常移动,导致载流子在LSMO-OSEC界面注入的增强。  相似文献

La_(2/3)Sr_(1/3)MnO_3 films are deposited on(001) silicon substrates,in which the silicon surfaces have artificially been treated into the scallops-like,pyramid-like,and smooth polishing structure,by pulsed laser deposition.The magnetoresistances of the films on etched substrates under low applied field are very sensitive to the applied field,and much larger(14.3% for acid-etched,and 42.9% for alkali-etched) than that on the polished Si at 5 K.Zero-field-cooled and field-cooled magnetization behaviors are measured and analyzed.Remarkable upturn behaviors in temperature-dependent resistivity for all samples are observed at low temperature,which follows the Efros-Shkloskii variable range hopping law and the Arrhenius law.We believe that the rough surface may be useful in device design.  相似文献

The interfacial electrical potentials and charge distributions of two manganite-based heterojunctions, i.e.,La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_3/SrTiO_3:0.05 wt% Nb(LCMO/STON) and La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_3/LaMnO_3/SrTiO_3:0.05 wt% Nb(simplified as LCMO/LMO/STON), are studied by means of off-axis electron holography in a transmission electron microscope.The influences of buffer layer on the microstructure and magnetic properties of the LCMO films are explored. The results show that when a buffer layer of LaMnO_3 is introduced, the tensile strain between the STON substrate and LCMO film reduces, misfit dislocation density decreases near the interfaces of the heterojunctions, and a positive magnetoresistance is observed. For the LCMO/STON junction, positive and negative charges accumulate near the interface between the substrate and the film. For the LCMO/LMO/STON junction, a complex charge distribution takes place across the interface, where notable negative charges accumulate. The difference between the charge distributions near the interface may shed light on the observed generation of positive magnetoresistance in the junction with a buffer layer.  相似文献

The electrical and magnetic characteristics of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) epitaxial manganite films are investigated by different methods under conditions when the crystal structure is strongly strained as a result of mismatch between the lattice parameters of the LSMO crystal and the substrate. Substrates with lattice parameters larger and smaller than the nominal lattice parameter of the LSMO crystal are used in experiments. It is shown that the behavior of the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance for the films in the low-temperature range does not depend on the strain of the film and agrees well with the results obtained from the calculations with allowance made for the interaction of electrons with magnetic excitations in the framework of the double-exchange model for systems with strongly correlated electronic states. Investigations of the magneto- optical Kerr effect have revealed that an insignificant (0.3%) orthorhombic distortion of the cubic lattice in the plane of the NdGaO3(110) substrate leads to uniaxial anisotropy of the magnetization of the film, with the easy-magnetization axis lying in the substrate plane. However, LSMO films on substrates (((LaAlO3)0.3+(Sr2AlTaO6)0.7)(001)) ensuring minimum strain of the films exhibit a biaxial anisotropy typical of cubic crystals. The study of the ferromagnetic resonance lines at a frequency of 9.76 GHz confirms the results of magnetooptical investigations and indicates that the ferromagnetic phase in the LSMO films is weakly inhomogeneous.  相似文献

Multiferroic materials,showing the coexistence and coupling of ferroelectric and magnetic orders,are of great technological and fundamental importance.However,the limitation of single phase multiferroics with robust magnetization and polarization hinders the magnetoelectric effect from being applied practically.Magnetic frustration,which can induce ferroelectricity,gives rise to multiferroic behavior.In this paper,we attempt to construct an artificial magnetically frustrated structure comprised of manganites to induce ferroelectricity.A disordered stacking of manganites is expected to result in frustration at interfaces.We report here that a tri-color multilayer structure comprised of non-ferroelectric La_(0.9)Ca_(0.1)MnO_3(A)/Pr_(0.85)Ca_(0.15)MnO_3(B)/Pr_(0.85)Sr_(0.15)MnO_3(C) layers with the disordered arrangement of ABC-ACBCAB-CBA-BAC-BCA is prepared to form magnetoelectric multiferroics.The multilayer film exhibits evidence of ferroelectricity at room temperature,thus presenting a candidate for multiferroics.  相似文献

The anisotropic transport property was investigated in a phase separation La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_3(LCMO) film grown on(001)-oriented Nd GaO_3(NGO) substrate. It was found that the resistivity along the b-axis is much higher than that along the a-axis. Two resistivity peaks were observed in the temperature dependent measurement along the b-axis, one located at 91 K and the other centered at 165 K. Moreover, we also studied the response of the resistivities along the two axes to various electric currents, magnetic fields, and light illuminations. The resistivities along the two axes are sensitive to the magnetic field. However, the electric current and light illumination can influence the resistivity along the b-axis obviously, but have little effect on the resistivity along the a-axis. Based on these results, we believe that an anisotropicstrain-controlled MnO_6 octahedra shear-mode deformation may provide a mechanism of conduction filaments paths along the a-axis, which leads to the anisotropic transport property.  相似文献

The perovskite bilayers La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 (LCMO) (100 nm) / La0.67Sr0.33MnO3(LSMO) (100 nm) and LSMO (100 nm) / LCMO (100 nm) are fabricated by a facing-target sputtering technique. Their transport and magnetic properties are investigated. It is found that the transport properties between them are different obviously due to distinguishable structures, and the different lattice strains in both films result in the difference of metal-to-insulator transition. Only single-step magnetization loop appears in our bilayers from 5K to 320K, and the coercive force of LSMO/LCMO varies irregularly with a minimum ~ 2387A/m which is lower than that of LCMO and LSMO single layer films. The behaviour is explained by some magnetic coupling.  相似文献

We present an unreported magnetic configuration in epitaxial La(1-x) Sr(x) MnO3 (x ~ 0.3) (LSMO) films grown on strontium titanate (STO). X-ray magnetic circular dichroism indicates that the remanent magnetic state of thick LSMO films is opposite to the direction of the applied magnetic field. Spectroscopic and scattering measurements reveal that the average Mn valence varies from mixed Mn(3+)/Mn(4+) to an enriched Mn3+ region near the STO interface, resulting in a compressive lattice along the a, b axis and a possible electronic reconstruction in the Mn e(g) orbital (d(3)z(2)-r(2). This reconstruction may provide a mechanism for coupling the Mn3+ moments antiferromagnetically along the surface normal direction, and in turn may lead to the observed reversed magnetic configuration.  相似文献

We investigate the growing condition dependences of magnetic and electric properties of the La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 thin films grown on SrTiO3(001) substrates.With reducing the film thickness and growth pressure,the Curie temperature(Tc)drops off,and the magnetism and metallicity are suppressed.At an appropriate deposition temperature,we can obtain the best texture and remarkably enhance the magnetic and electrical properties.However,the resistivity of film cannot be modulated by changing the dc current and green light intensity.This result may be induced by the coherent strains in the epitaxially grown film due to its lattice mismatching that of the SrTiO3 substrate.Furthermore,we show that the relations between the magnetism and the resistivity for the typical films with different thickness values.For the 13.4-nm-thick film,the R-T curve presents two transition behaviors:insulator-to-metal and metal-to-insulator in the cooling process:the former corresponds to magnetic transition,and the later correlates with thermal excitation conduction.  相似文献
