Today, there are a number of basic networking technologies that can support data-centric home networking, including 802.11b, HomeRF, and Bluetooth. As with most new markets and technologies, what users want their home network to do is rapidly changing and evolving. Today's early-adopters want more from their home networks than just sharing PC peripherals; they want to be able to send their digital entertainment content (digital pictures, MP3 audio, and DV-based video) throughout their homes. As this "early-adopter market" rapidly changes into a mass market, today's home network must evolve to where it supports not only TCP/IP-based data, but also audio and video data that require QoS. This evolution will require changes in the architecture and implementation of wireless networks. Air5 is a solution for handling the demands of wireless home networking. Based on the lEEE802.11a PHY-layer specification, it includes enhancements for delivering range and throughput levels. Air5 also delivers triple-DES security and guaranteed QoS performance through its TDMA-based synchronous MAC. There are over 40 companies developing 5-GHz based networking technologies today, so this will be a highly competitive technology evolution. 相似文献

21世纪初期,230MHz无线组网技术在用电信息采集系统国内建设初期得到普遍应用。其具有组网简单、传输稳定、可传输数据和音频等多种信号的优点,在城市地区尤其是江苏地区得到广泛的应用。随着通信技术的发展,利用公共运营商的无线公网进行用电信息采集的方式得到推广,但近年来用电信息采集用户不断增加,网络带宽费用和千万级用户采集数据传输给我们带来新的挑战,因此重新审视230MHz无线组网方式,应将公网运营商无线公网和230MHz组网相结合,在城市等用电信息采集设备安装较为密集的地区采用无线230MHz专网通信方式,在城乡结合部或农村采用公网运营商无线组网方式,兼顾效益与安全。 相似文献

通信技术是变电站自动化赖以实现的关键技术之一。文章根据变电站自动化系统的特点,提出一种基于分簇路由的2层架构变电站自动化系统无线传感器网络(wireless sensor network,WSN)组网方案,该方案在过程层采用WSN,在间隔层、变电站层采用以太网。文章对该方案具体实施中的传感器节点能量供给、数据融合与分簇路由算法、可靠性与安全技术、WSN接入以太网等关键技术给出了初步解决办法,最后阐述了WSN实际应用于变电站自动化系统需进一步研究的问题。文章提出的有线通信网络与无线通信网络相结合的2层架构组网模式是对变电站自动化系统通信网络的一种有益探索。 相似文献

一套完整可靠的电力设施冰灾监测预警系统,可以为各项防灾、减灾、救灾措施提供可靠的依据。现有电力设施冰灾监测预警系统未能发挥预先目标的原因在于通信网络的不可靠。提出了将无线传感器网络应用于电力设施冰灾监测预警系统的新概念,基于对系统监测内容与目标的分析,选择了系统所需的各类传感器节点,在考虑覆盖性与节约成本的前提下,进行了各节点的部署,针对输电走廊的特点,设计了一种二层架构的网络拓扑结构。鉴于实用要求,提出了利用小CT取能装置与蓄电池相结合的节点供能方法、基于查询的路由协议以及相应的数据融合技术。最后指明可靠性技术、安全性技术以及如何与现有电力通信网络互联是下一步研究的方向。 相似文献

Today's healthcare environment requires an enterprise mobility solution for both patients and staff. Separate isolated networks are suboptimal from cost, management, scalability, and reliability perspectives. The wireless medical telemetry system (WMTS) does not provide sufficient bandwidth for many hospitals. Therefore, some seek to operate outside of the WMTS. Standards-based 802.11 networks with published reliability tenfold higher than conventional telemetry already meet the requirements for supporting life-critical applications. These 802.11 networks are easily supported on an enterprise scale, and they have advanced and matured to meet the needs for life-critical applications on an enterprise-wide shared network. To achieve peak performance, any network must be properly designed, installed, and validated for its intended use. Due to the emergence of multimedia context-rich applications and services over wireless networks, networking protocols and services are becoming more and more integrated, thus relying on context and application information to support their operation. Further, wireless protocols and services now employ information from several network layers and the environment, breaking the layering paradigm. In order to cope with this increasing reliance on information, we have proposed MANIP, a middleware for MANETs that instantiates a new networking plane. The Information Plane (InP) is a distributed entity to store and disseminate information concerning the network, its services and the environment, orchestrating the collaboration among cross-layer protocols, autonomic management solutions and context-aware services. We use MANIP to support the autonomic reconfiguration of a P2P network over MANETs. Simulation results show that the MANIP-enabled solutions reduce the response time and increase the number of solved P2P queries when compared to classic, cross-layer implementations of the same protocols. 相似文献
