文章首先研究了数学公式在Web上的发展和问题,而后介绍了W3C组织提出的一种基于可扩展标记语言(XML)的数学标记语言(MathML),它主要包括表现(Presentation)和表义(content)两种形式。文章认为MathML将成为数学材料计算机化的最重要的标准。最后,文章介绍了一个基于MathML的应用系统-SeeMath的设计和体系结构。SeeMath为数学公式在Web上显示提供了一个集成的解决方案。  相似文献

针对目前数学公式在Web上显示方式繁琐且效果不佳的问题,介绍利用数学置标语言MathML(Mathematical Markup Language)编写数学公式,再用XML解析器对其进行解析处理,然后使用JavaScript控制获取到的MathML DOM树的节点内容和结构,结果可在无需安装任何插件的情形下,将数学公式显示在HTML5新增元素canvas上,并支持IE、Firefox、Opera、Safari等主流浏览器。  相似文献

计算机硬件图像处理功能的增强,促进了计算机图形学的发展,进而促进了计算机的可视化研究。数学模型的可视化就是将抽象的数学函数以图形的方式表示出来,使人们对其有一个直观的认识。卫星云图,医疗成像系统都是计算机可视化的实际应用。文章介绍了在VC++6.0开发环境下,利用OpenGL来实现数学模型的可视化。该可视化系统包括数学函数的输入、识别、二维图形的输出、由二维曲线旋转生成三维立体图形以及三维图形的变换输出。  相似文献

Employing mixed-method approach, this case study examined the in situ use of educational computer games in a summer math program to facilitate 4th and 5th graders’ cognitive math achievement, metacognitive awareness, and positive attitudes toward math learning. The results indicated that students developed more positive attitudes toward math learning through five-week computer math gaming, but there was no significant effect of computer gaming on students’ cognitive test performance or metacognitive awareness development. The in-field observation and students’ think-aloud protocol informed that not every computer math drill game would engage children in committed learning. The study findings have highlighted the value of situating learning activities within the game story, making games pleasantly challenging, scaffolding reflections, and designing suitable off-computer activities.  相似文献

Minimizing material transportation is an important design object for many facilities. In traditional facility design, departments and work centers have been located based on interdepartmental flow patterns. We introduce a methodology that extends the planning process to also consider intradepartmental flow patterns. A math programming approach is developed that uses an objective function and constraints that specifically addresses both the intradepartmental and the interdepartmental material flows together. The math programming approach can be used to solve small problems but it is difficult to scale this method to problems with realistic sizes. Therefore, we devise an evolutionary optimization methodology for this same problem. The evolutionary method can readily solve both large and small problems. The effectiveness of the evolutionary approach is demonstrated on a suite of test problems.  相似文献

We describe a hierarchical/relational approach to math programming modeling. The approach transforms free-form generic modeling constructs into linear and nonlinear models which are independent of end-user data structures. The underlying relationships with graph-based interfaces and the inherent aggregation/disaggregation capabilities of the approach are also discussed.The modeling approach will be illustrated with several process industry applications including distribution planning, operations planning, and production scheduling.  相似文献

In intelligent virtual environments (IVEs), it is a challenging research issue to provide the intelligent virtual actors (or avatars) with the ability of visual perception and rapid response to virtual world events. Modeling an avatar’s cognitive and synthetic behavior appropriately is of paramount important in IVEs. We propose a new cognitive and behavior modeling methodology that integrates two previously developed complementary approaches. We present expression cloning, walking synthetic behavior modeling, and an autonomous agent cognitive model for driving an avatar’s behavior. Facial expressions are generated using our own-developed rule-based state transition system. Facial expressions are further personalized for individuals by expression cloning. An avatar’s walking behavior is modeled using a skeleton model that is implemented by seven-motion sequences and finite state machines (FSMs). We discuss experimental results demonstrating the benefits of our approach.  相似文献

This study examined the question, ‘What is the impact of a digital math intervention on secondary ELL students’ mathematical capabilities and perceptions of their future possibilities?’ The hypothesis was that through its direct effect on increasing students’ math ability and its indirect effect on increasing students’ perceived math self-efficacy, the digital intervention affects students’ perceptions of their functionings and future possibilities. A path analysis, with qualitative data nested into the design, was used to analyze the conceptualized relationships. The study was conducted with 50 ninth-and-10th-grade Hispanic students in a Colorado high school, over 6 months. The primary finding was that through its direct effect on increasing students’ math ability and its indirect effect on increasing students’ perceived math self-efficacy, the digital intervention improved students’ perceptions of their functionings and future possibilities. What this study specifically underscores is the importance of taking a coherent and purposeful approach toward the design of digital student-directed educational technology, especially for ELL students who may have specific learning needs.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a numerical algorithm able to prove whether a set SS described by nonlinear inequalities is path-connected or not. To our knowledge, no other algorithm (numerical or symbolic) is able to deal with this type of problem. The proposed approach uses interval arithmetic to build a graph which has exactly the same number of connected components as SS. Examples illustrate the principle of the approach.  相似文献
