Abstract:Effective performance management methods can promote the professional transformation and upgrading for workers inthe construction industry. This paper builds a competency evaluation model for construction workers using fuzzy statistics methodand membership degree analysis method. A co-occurrence cluster analysis based on binary symmetric variables is used to develop aperformance evaluation index system for construction workers, which includes eight dimensions, including knowledge and skills,professional capability, team characteristics, development capabilities, professional attitude, safety, quality and cost, progress,etc.. Combined with the policy orientation of construction industrialization, this paper establishes the implementation mode ofperformance evaluation system for construction workers and the management method of performance compensation. Thecompetency-based performance evaluation system can provide reference for measuring the professional quality and work level ofconstruction industry workers.
