| Abstract: | The principle of ultrasonic detection and the testing characteristics of creeping waves and small angle longitudinal waves are introduced.The application of creeping waves in site inspection is also described.The ultrasonic detection method has been proved to be able to promptly discover both internal and surface flaws of strut porcelain insulators, hence ensuring security and stability of power grid. |
