摘    要:对于给定阵元数目的传统双平行均匀线阵,由于其阵列布局受到空间采样定理限制,阵列孔径不能有效扩展,二维波达方向(DOA)估计的精度和自由度难以得到有效提升。提出一种基于广义互质双平行阵列的二维DOA估计方法。采用两个互相平行的广义互质线阵进行虚拟扩展得到含有较多虚拟阵元的差分优化阵列,并利用该虚拟阵列的协方差信息和互协方差信息构建具有二维角度信息的扩展矩阵,最后通过改进的二维求根MUSIC算法替代传统的二维谱峰搜索算法完成对入射角度的自动匹配与估计。仿真结果表明,所提方法比传统方法的计算复杂度低,且具有更高的估计精度和更大的自由度。

Two-dimensional DOA Estimation Based on Generalized Coprime Double Parallel Arrays

Abstract:The aperture of the conventional double parallel uniform linear array cannot be effectively expanded due to the restriction of spatial sampling theorem. As a result, the accuracy and the Degree of Freedom (DOF) of its 2D Direction-of-Arrival (DOA) estimation cannot be effectively improved. Aiming that, a 2D-DOA estimation method base on the generalized coprime double parallel array is proposed. The method virtually expands the generalized coprime double parallel array to obtain two difference co-arrays, which contain have more virtual elements, and utilizes the correlation and cross correlation information of the co-arrays to construct an expanded matrix containing the 2D angular information. By employing an improved 2D Root-MUSIC algorithm to replace the conventional 2D peak search algorithm, the method automatically matches the incident signals and further obtains the corresponding DOA estimators estimates the DOAs. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method has lower computation complexity, better estimation accuracy and higher DOF than the conventional methods.
