钛合金线性摩擦焊接头形成机制

摘    要:采用扫描电镜和透射电镜研究TC11同种及TC11与TC17异种钛合金接头微观组织,以探明线性摩擦焊接头形成机制.结果表明,同种钛合金线性摩擦焊接头形成过程与异种钛合金明显不同,这主要是由于二者产热行为不同所致.同种钛合金焊接时,刚开始阶段是以摩擦产热为主,界面形成金属键连接后界面金属的变形产热将占主导.异种钛合金焊接时,刚开始阶段也是以摩擦产热为主,而当界面形成金属键连接后TC11一侧金属的变形产热将是接头热输入的主要来源.随着热量向TC17一侧金属的传导,TC17将发生大变形,接头热输入以TC11与TC17的共同变形产热为主.

Abstract:The microstructure of linear friction welded TC11-to-itself and TC11/TC17 dissimilar titanium alloy joints were investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscope(TEM) to understand the formation mechanism of the resultant joint. The results show that the formation process of linear friction welded joint for titanium alloy to itself was different from that for dissimilar titanium alloy, because of the different behavior of heat generation. The heat was generated by friction at the beginning stage of linear friction welding of titanium alloy to itself. After forming metallic bond at the rubbing interface, the heat generation was controlled by material deformation. For linear friction welding of dissimilar titanium alloys, the heat was also generated by friction at the beginning stage, but the heat generation was mainly controlled by the deformation of TC11 alloy after forming metallic bond at the rubbing interface. Subsequently, the heat was conducted into TC17 alloy and led to its deformation. As a result, the heat generation was mostly related to the deformation of TC11 and TC17 alloys.
