Abstract:Passively Q-switched operation of a laser diode end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser was realized by using Cr4+:YAG as saturable absorber.When LD continuous pumped,the pulse train with average output power of 1.28W,repetition rate of 40 kHz,pulse width of 24 ns,and peak power of 1.33 kW was obtained with the absorbed pump power of 12.8W.When LD pumped with single pulse,a Q-switch laser pulse with 0.48 mJ energy and 34 ns pulse duration was obtained.The dependence of the Nd∶YVO4 laser output on pump power or pump energy...
