Osteoporosis (OP) is a group of metabolic bone diseases with complex causes and features of fracture of bone microstructure, low bone mass and increased bone fragility. With the steady improvement of social productivity, aging society has become the social form of most developed countries and some developing countries. Because the proportion of the elderly in the population structure is increasing, the proportion of osteoporosis is also increasing, so how to prevent and treat osteoporosis has become the focus and difficulty of current attention. In order to develop more effective clinical drugs and promote correct diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, the establishment of effective experimental animal models of osteoporosis plays a key role, which will promote the clinical transformation process. In this paper, how to build an animal model of osteoporosis is described systematically, which the methods of animal model building are reviewed in detail. |
